it says 1366x768 on both adorama and amazon!!...aren't all zenbook's with a prime suffix supposed to be with IPS panels...
i was so excited about this deal until i read this..wat a bummer |
might jump on this if it wasn't for the small display resolution
|
if it wasnt 1080p IPS why the hell is it's MRP 1019 in the first place, which is just 70 less than the UX31A-DB51 model that has both Full HD IPS and a 128 SSD...would have jumped on this if it was 1080p...thanks anyway

no 1080p and no real ssd. The two selling point of the Zenbook Prime.

trackpad - get a mouse & people got it fixed. keyboard issue - no backlit...really? that count as Enron problem? Now, you get Larger IPS monitor & true SSD performance probably faster and cheaper depends on the tasks. While the only problem is trackpad which is being fixed with driver. Or basically just use a mouse. It's better anyway. Love the Enron & your own Cnet: which sums up to be horrible PC exaggeration though. http://www.cnet.com/laptops/vizio...31603.html Oh, it seems like you don't even care about the trackpad...I didn't know battery life count as "have more problem than Enron." Could have just said have short battery life and save us both the trouble. |

lol seriously? Why should I forced to use a mouse if I want to use the trackpad. Ppl didn't get it fixed, some found a temp fix but still buggy as hell. The backlighting isn't the problem, its the quality of the keyboard itself.. it has a lot of flex and will be problematic down the road Yes it does have a few nice features but the cons outweigh the pros ainec. |

seriously? you are lying to make a point? Are you reading the battery on 14" or 15.6" one. Are you talking about this review? http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/1...ook-review VS this review which praised keyboard? http://blog.laptopmag.com/hands-o...art-at-898 |

btw are you dyslexic? I said mouse is better anyway and apparently people are able to use the touchpad read the reviews. |

Once again I have to come in and wonder what kind of crack people are smoking. 1080p is excessive on a 13" laptop. I own the UX31A-DB71 Zenbook prime with the screen and I think people are on crack. The resolution on this model is just fine. What's more important is how good the screen contrast and viewing angles are. If it's similar to the UX31A's matte screen, people have nothing to worry about.
The other points are more valid against this notebook. No full SSD and personally for me, the lack of unibody construction makes it less rigid than my UX31A. On a budget though, this laptop is a great price, but it's not really a Zenbook prime. Just read someone complain about keyboard flex. Pretty much a non issue unless you like to slam your fists into the keyboard. And the trackpad is fine. |
Is this a joke. Not a deal at all.
