Been waiting for a deal on these to pop up. Just got it. Thanks!

1stBuy 10-11-2012 07:03 AM

Got in on the last BOGO deal for ~$33 shipped and sold the iDual Trent for $22.

Kept the IMP52D iTorch (w/ flashlight/laser pointer). One excellent product.

I have a couple NewTrent external batteries (used for business trips and such) and they are fantastic. This is a really hot deal (especially with the pomos that kukubrew posted)

lockjaw2008 10-11-2012 07:50 AM

Seems like the deals do not stack even though it says promotion applied.

That's what I found as well. Was trying to get the wall charger on top of the smaller battery.

mrednejar 10-11-2012 08:02 AM

do not stack

I tried to stack various items with the free deal. No luck. So the original post seems to be the best deal since it is FREE!

Does anyone know if this company is still in business? Wanted to order the iPad keyboard case the other day, and needed to check something with them. Called the phone numbers on their site, and 2 of those were disconnected. A third number kept ringing and ringing, no one picked up. Emailed them and more than 48hrs later, no response.

I did end up ordering the Airbender Keyboard case from Amazon, because of the promotion (free dual car charger and stylus), but it's been sitting at 'Shipping soon' status.

I ordered the packs last time from a simlar promotion and they arrived with no problem. Sorry if that doesn't help.

Tax in CA kills the deal for me.

None of these stack with "FREE5UDP" for the free 5200mAh battery, so it's kind of worthless. You're much better off with the free battery

Is there an adapter for sale which can convert regular camcorder battery to battery bank. Sometimes we get camcorder batteries very cheap for out of fashion cameras? e.g. HV20 batteries one can get for 2-3 dollars.

huevos 10-11-2012 09:01 AM

As a quick heads up, the 12000mAh and 5200mAh ratings refer to the lithium ion batteries contained within, which operate at 3.7V. Since the output is 5V USB, the ratings are essentially 8880mAh and 3848mAh at the point of output. After subtracting about 5-10% for efficiency losses, and it's basically about 8500mAh and 3500mAh of usable output. You can use these numbers to compare directly to the mAh ratings on your mobile devices to judge how many times you can recharge your batteries (assuming they aren't also running at the same time).

Interesting idea, if you ever get that done, please message me

those things have a pretty big charge in them

They're definitely still in business - their facebook page is very active. If anything they seem to be growing at such a fast pace that they might be understaffed? I would try contacting through their facebook page.

I bought the 10000mAH since I spend a ton of time in airports with business. It's been a life saver. I can charge my Galaxy Nexus 4-5 times depending on how drained it is. I just wish there was a way to charge this thing off of USB so I don't have to worry about loosing the charger. Or even better, an iGo tip that I could use. I could probably find one but haven't looked.

All in all, these products are awesome.

Hows does that compare to comparable external battery packs like Anker and powergen? Same rules apply?

I have an ipad 3 and an iphone 5 and 4s. This should come in handy. I have a 2200mah battery for my iphone and it more then fully charges it 100% Maybe 120%

I hope they are! I just signed on as a product tester for them. Figured I wouldn't mind getting their products for <$1  I just spoke to them on the phone today (but not the sales dept).

I believe the iCarrier requires an external adapter/charger to recharge the battery. However, the iDual can be charged with most USB style chargers.

When I bought one of the products they had an invite card to participate inside the box.

no it doesn't, it is still an excellent deal. And are nearly all your comments about tax and amazon (yes). Why dont you move instead of whining on SD forums (like that will make any difference)? it isn't amazons fault.

The reduction in effective charging capacity will be the same for pretty much any type of lithium ion-based USB charger.

Is this dead? I can't get "FREE5UDP" to apply.

I used the iTorch to fully charge a iPhone 4 from 0% to 100% twice. :woot:
