Acidblast 10-13-2012 11:07 AM

good price. but not a fan of Logitech's 1 year limited warranty

chaozz 10-13-2012 11:07 AM

not sure why thought they would bring in for holidays when its a older model.

NotSoSimple 10-13-2012 11:14 AM

Because this is the new one:

That is the Harmony Touch, this is the Harmony One. Harmony One is still an awesome remote.

Correct, the one is the older model. Touch just came out.

Many items they sell in store are not for sale online. This offer is likely only in store.

BlueandOrange 10-13-2012 11:42 AM

Best remote ever for casual home theater enthusiast. Wish it was RF. but still my favorite Harmony so far.

shackrock 10-13-2012 12:14 PM

ALL costco's or only some local ones?

cgigate 10-13-2012 12:17 PM

add $40 membership fee

Lol really? Most people know you have to be a MEMBER to get that price!

pilot757 10-13-2012 12:21 PM

I prefer the button layout on the One compared to the Touch. I think they missed the boat on the Touch. They should have made it possible to use the touch screen as a mouse touch pad for HTPC's when in that mode. That alone would have made it worth overlooking its other shortcomings.

makstaks 10-13-2012 12:22 PM

yea i think i would prefer the one to the touch

shackrock 10-13-2012 12:24 PM

based on reviews, people like the touch a lot, vs. the One. I need to know how well this works with MediaPortal (can any of my special icons work in conjunction with mediaportal? not sure...).

dmercer3 10-13-2012 12:34 PM

lol have fun getting pissed off at the new model, while you try and press the play button but keep hitting the touch pad with your palm.. lol obviously stupid design.

whinnfjord 10-13-2012 12:45 PM

I just saw this in the Durham NC Costco, they had a lot and the price was $109.99. Good deal, OP!

baphomet58 10-13-2012 01:33 PM

could have been had for $50

Yah, YMMV and in a 12 hour period

sampravhu 10-13-2012 03:02 PM

Great deal. Picked one up at the Sunnyvale Costco. They had a lot of them available.

spartanstew 10-13-2012 04:36 PM

This is not an old model compared to the Touch.

It's just a different model (and yes, older), but the Touch is not a replacement for it.

And it's way better than the Touch.

if bought from Costco, wouldn't it be covered under Costco's lifetime return policy?

huntfishandtruc 10-14-2012 02:49 PM

Just got one in Brandon, FL. They had a whole pallet of them.

I want to know this also. Or does anyone know of a remote that's cheaper or as good?

mzaki 10-14-2012 03:24 PM

With the benefit of the CostCo return policy, I think I'll be picking one of these up. Already have a Harmony 900 in the family room (need RF for cabinet housed components). My wife will appreciate having a remote with a familiar layout in the den.

As for the return policy, here it is from the CostCo website:
We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. The following must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund: televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, touch screen tablets, MP3 players and cellular phones.

I don't think this falls into any of the categories requiring return within 90 days.

eduboys 10-14-2012 08:43 PM

Been looking for a good deal for a while. Thanks for posting.

URC R40 is a good alternative if you want better build quality.

I do believe it is covered.

And even if it isn't, you still get three years of warranty if you buy it with your Amex.

bullfrog23414 11-20-2012 11:45 AM

I just confirmed that this deal is still available at the Robinson Twp, PA Costco. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Still good at MT Laurel Nj Stiore

ProfGreenMau5 12-02-2012 05:58 PM

any one know of a solution for the ability to turn on and off a lamp using this device? I want to have some sort of add on to my lamp so that i can control it with my remote..

omartian 12-06-2012 09:02 PM

possibly ymmv, but the costco in white marsh, maryland had marked down the price to $99.99. There were about 8 of them left.

crusadertwin 12-06-2012 09:10 PM

Just price matched in mt laurel nj bought one last week at 109 today they were 99.99.

makstaks 12-06-2012 09:23 PM

Thanks for the update. I was at Socal Costco on sunday but they were marked $109. I'll check again tomorrow.

Edit: Failed to get it on clearance at Sears, came back to costco and got it for 99. Thanks OP!

agent099 12-13-2012 05:52 PM

This is great because of Costco's warranty. I've had 2 different model Harmony remotes die or loose partial functionally after Logitech's 1 year warranty.

And Logitech is not forgiving after the warranty period, they only offer you a discount over the inflated prices on their website.
