EDIT: I remember it being cheaper on Amazon (as I happened to view the product yesterday) but they have some kind of error so they aren't selling it now.

I believe the MX Performance mouse is at the end of it's life (a replacement must be near) as I've seen this on clearance at Staples as well (nowhere near this price). In the future when it gets to 4th stage clearance at OfficeDepot, I can't see it getting below $20 :)

Thanks for the heads up on this. I had Staples PM this because a) I have to drive 25 miles to my local OfficeMax and b) the last few deals OfficeMax canceled the orders so I'm a bit sour about that.

It works on any surface, including glass. It is also very ergonomic. It's very responsive and is easily the best wireless mouse in the market.

It's a total waste of money for those who think that a $5 mouse will do.

I had 3 MX revolution and the button sensors wore out I even took it apart to find cheap quality components inside. Sometimes the wireless would lose connection or get interference to the point they don't even work at 1 ft from receiver. My work had numerous MX Revolution bluetooth versions that were defective too.

I'm still using my MX1000 by Logitech since I bought it in 2005 and battery still lasts up to a month.

my mx perf mouse hasn't really died on me yet. i've had it for 3 years already. previously i had the vx revolution which 1 only crapped out on me after major abuse bringing it to school with me. i'd say the logitech build quality is pretty nice

I bought the Performance MX a year ago for $80 (that was the SD price at the time)

Its a good mouse. The real reason to buy an expensive mouse is if you are a gamer, or if you think you can use the extra buttons. In addition, it does work on almost any surface, which is great if you have a glass/reflective table.

So far, a year later, no problems. The battery is rechargeable and I have to charge it about 1ce every 2 weeks. I use the mouse heavily for work (90 hrs / week). I am not a gamer.

That isn't the point. Ok yeah the sites can mess up every once in a while but this is absurd with OfficeMax. This is at least the forth deal that I have come across in the last year which will probably turn out to be a price mistake. OfficeMax needs to be held accountable that they are wasting people's time on this. That's why I didn't place my order directly with them.

Make sure you check before you go. Dont want to show up at the store and they tell you no it was a price mistake or one of the employees decided to keep it for himself.

The MX Perfomance was rated as one of the top 10 mice of the DECADE. The MX revolution was as well and even though they're no longer made they are still in demand.
It really is a great mouse. I think I paid 150.00 for my first one but my boss let me expence it and that was a long time ago..

2 questions:

1) If I get a coupon later after it is shipped can I call to use the coupon?
2) if item is in backorder how long do it usually get more and I assume the price is honored?

The last time I ordered from OM was for some really good shipping tape that was marked down from $10 to $1 (or something). I got my order fulfilled but my order was placed within minutes of the thread being posted. Lots of SDers had their orders canceled..
