tunanjing 10-17-2012 09:20 PM

nice! two thumbs up. now to look at 5x$500 items to buy. :D

Bear in mind the $500 max limit and the expiration date of ebay bucks. which is around 3 months I believe and it is really a short time for a reward.

tenderidol 10-17-2012 09:23 PM

Received it for my both accounts. It's not as good as 20% CB, but I'll take it :D

myamex 10-17-2012 09:30 PM

I got it, but I don't know what to buy...

bolland99 10-17-2012 09:30 PM

Yes this is very a crazy good deal...20% off anything at NewEgg. And ebay bucks are the same as cash for me...much more than Amazon gift card balance.

pinoy530 10-17-2012 09:39 PM

Dang, neither of my eBay accounts got an email.

but I think it should be ~$200 on BF plus I prefer a bigger tablet like 8 or 9 inch.

TheHiddenOne 10-17-2012 09:51 PM

Keep in mind guys that there's a $5.99(per item) shipping cost added to all items vs free shoprunner shipping.
on most items.
so if it was $100 purchase, you are really only getting 14% back after shipping.

Akarin 10-17-2012 09:54 PM

where is my email :K

Kazenokatana 10-17-2012 09:54 PM

sukru 10-17-2012 10:20 PM

So basically no free shipping, no newegg coupon codes, and rebates are iffy. And then the ebay bucks come ~90 days later, with 30 days expiration time.

I wish bing cashback came back. It was good times.

FreeCake 10-17-2012 10:21 PM

Of course I didnt get this email. I never get the emails

Mystyrose 10-17-2012 11:04 PM

Any deals for a Nexus 7 8GB? Also they're phasing out the 16GB soon to be replaced by the 32GB variant, so the 16GB might be priced lower than the current $250. I don't know when though. This is quite a good deal as I still have 22 bucks or so credit from eBay Bucks.

Or perhaps wait for the iPad Mini that is going to be announced next week? A lot of games come out on the iOS first, if not exclusive, so even if I prefer Android over iOS it's tempting to go for the mini if priced right. I hope it will be $200! Right on time for my eBay Bucks credit if they release it before the end of the month.

My guess would be probably not, though it's difficult to say for certain. According to the rebate form "2. This rebate offer is only valid for purchases at Newegg.com." Rebate fulfillment centers are always looking for ways out of paying, so that seems risky at the very least. On the other hand, even if the rebate doesn't go through, you should still get around $75 in ebay bucks. Provided you find use for them, that would be better than the $30 rebate alone.

I think last year's BF sales only had a $50 GC, on the ipad 2s. Does anyone else recall?

/edit/ I'm in FL, so the deals at B&Ms for 350 with multiple discounts won't fly for me.

I don't recall any deals in previous years, this might be your best bet to get an iPad 3 for around $400.

Only thing about the iPad is the rumors say a new tweaked Ipad 3 will be out in a week. With a lightning connector. Not sure if anything else will change.

That's a bunch of BS, rumors seem to spread faster than facts. There has been retail inventory evidence of the iPad mini but none for an iPad 3 with a lightning connector. Plus there have been leaked pics of an iPad mini but NOT of an iPad 3 with a lightning connector. Nothing else would be changed on it anyway. The next iPad (4th gen) won't be out until the typical March~ date like usual.

Search FDA-EV1S in beach camera.

The EVF works with new models too so there won't be a discount for a while. I've been watching auction prices because I need one for my 5N but the price is very similar with this discount for a new one with full warranty.

MOkoFOko 10-17-2012 11:59 PM

In other words, good for purchases up to $500. Pretty much excludes all of the good camera and lens deals.

Ipad 3rd gen [ebay.com] for $409 and/or 256 Samsung 830 [ebay.com] for $136 after ebay bucks.

I jumped on the Samsung SSD cuz I don't need an iPad (or an SSD really, but price is too low to not bite :)).

The EVF works with new models too so there won't be a discount for a while. I've been watching auction prices because I need one for my 5N but the price is very similar with this discount for a new one with full warranty.

Purchased! $53.80 ebay bucks and 1% more from Chase cash back woot!

airfire29 10-18-2012 12:14 AM

Sucks Newegg on eBay doesn't have the free 2 x 4gb RAM promo with the Asrock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard. Could have been a sweet deal with the extra eBay bucks.

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 120GB: $68 after bucks

Definitely the lowest I've seen for that kind of performance. Only thing that sucks is I will have to buy all my other items for my computer now and buy a monitor in January

steveotron 10-18-2012 12:23 AM

Damn. I would have totally picked up an Asus PB278Q from Newegg if I had received this promotion.

For all the 120gb SSD deals, instead of ebay bucks, I'd hit amazon for this [amazon.com] samsung 830 for $70 and no rebate.

No, it will even be displayed on the product page where it says "you'll earn $X in eBay bucks". For instance, I just clicked on something from summit and it says "Pay today and earn $100.00 in eBay Bucks", since the items is over $500.

I didn't get the e-mail either. I wonder how they choose who got it. I don't use ebay very much so I guess it wasn't meant to stimulate dormant users.

I do remember a few years ago though they sent out a coupon for like 10% and I got that one and back then I wasn't very active either.

EDIT:

If I buy multiple items, will I be able to still get the 20% ebay bucks per item?

TIA.

Better to have multiple ebay accounts so if you're using one the others are dormant and might get the deal. Also make sure that you have agreed to get promotional offers in your settings.

2. buy those 5 items, each maxing out 20% cashback of $100 each, $500 total

I would assume so as long as you don't go over $500 for that one transaction because you are capped at $100 ebay bucks per transaction. Also, I noticed on some items on Newegg are limited to 5 per customer. Happy shopping!

Seems if we did a deal where we buy 1 ea x 5 Ipad 16Gig at $510 and sell them for $500 even on ebay gets probably about $50 in ebay/paypal fees and shipping costs so you have $560 in it, get back $500 and a $100 GC to EBay... doing that x 5 means essentially paying $250 for a $500 ebay GC.
Any thoughts on a better way to turn around and max out this deal?

You would make $25 each profit, so youd make 125$ profit and youd put out $2550 and risk getting a chargeback from ebay shithead, horrible idea.

Coolchu 10-18-2012 09:02 AM

Newegg imposes the 2 ipad per customer limit; but it may mean that you can get 2 of each iPad model. Of course you can use multiple eBay accounts to get around this...

Spider99 10-18-2012 09:04 AM

eBay disappoint me again.. No email yet..

superray 10-18-2012 09:12 AM

does it work on multiple purchases if they are under $500 in total?

ychen07 10-18-2012 09:13 AM

My calculation differs:
$510-$100(ebay bucks)=$410 (cost per ipad)
$475(average ebay completed listing price)-$57(12% ebay and paypal fee)-$15(shipping)=$403

So you lose $7 per ipad unless you can sell much more on ebay. A better alternative is to sell on Craigslist (even for just $450) where you can avoid fees and shipping. $40x5=$200 profit if you can pull it off on Craigslist.

Don't expect you can sell for 450. 420 is hard. everyone is contacting to bargain but no one buys. As nowadays, you can see a lot of rediculous low price on craiglist. But you can never get it after you try to contact the seller. Nevertheless, because of these posts, everyone will think everything is costless and try to bargain with you. I will assume this is the strategy for ebay to beat their competitor. It will make everyone feel sick with craiglist.

Beside this, I cannot imagine why people posting those low price shit

joogle 10-18-2012 09:35 AM

I was asking because i've been looking for a good motherboard myself

I believe so but keep at $500 since there is a max of $100 per transaction.

Would adding different items (from one of the vendors) to the cart before paying / checking out result in the correct ebay bucks reward?

The risk reward for going through all the crap involved in selling an ipad for a potential $20 profit is pathetic... Working a day at McDonald's would pay more, be easier and take less time.

Now, let's get back on track and start posting about DEALS.

Try Hankook Ventus Evo. It also has $80 manufacturer's rebate. I have them for my 2007 Scion TC and they are very quiet and smooth.

452 - 80 (R) - 90(20%) = 282.

Picked up the ASUS TF700 for 390.00 after EbayBucks...nice...

My most used account didn't get it, but my wife, who doesn't use it all that often, got the email.

I'd like to know how ebay determines who gets these emails. I've bought plenty via eBay and sold over $300k this year and I still didnt get it, what a crock
