Buy $20 Taco Bell Gift Card, Get A Free Item (up to $5 value)
I saw a sign in the drive-thru at Taco Bell for this yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't see the fine print and I couldn't find any info on the web about it. Not sure if this a local or nationwide promo.
Check your local Taco Bell to see if they are offering this promo. Pretty good deal if you frequently go to Taco Bell. I'll update this later if I get more info. If any of you are going to Taco Bell today, maybe you can post the details. :) EDIT: Fine print says "Purchase required. One free item per minimum gift card purchase. FREE ITEM VALUE LIMITED TO MAXIMUM OF $5 with purchase of $20 in gift cards. Offer is available at time of purchase only. Offer subject to change. No substitutions or cash redemption. Gift cards are redeemable at participating Taco BellĀ® locations while supplies last. No expiration date and no fees apply to gift card balances. Limited time only." http://www.tacobell.com/giftcards Thanks anothauserhere |
I saw it here in Michigan as well when I was there about 2 weeks ago. Also was in the drive-through, and didn't read the fine print.
The better deal was the $5 box free with a $20 gift card purchase that they had last year I think. I'm sure you could still milk this though with some sort of expensive dish (those new chipotle-style bowls that are awful, or a gigantor-burrito). Whatever, if you frequent Taco Bell, you can't go wrong with this promo. |
subscribed to your thread. :)

I read online you can roll the gift cards. Anyone try this?
|
I remember this deal from last year was rather nice. On their promotions page I can see that is was a past deal so I don't see this listed as current. Maybe this is regional, Ill check later.

Just went to the tacobell and saw the promo....Got the giftcard and they deducted 5$ (instead of one item) from the total bill.... :)... About to post it but i saw this thread...

I looooooooooooove Taco Bell!

Taco bell rocks! Granted sometimes my stomach doesn't think so but, I think it does :)
|
Got some taco bell today and saw the ad, but couldn't read the fine print. Maybe I'll get it next time.

There wasn't any promo signs at the 2 that I went to (in drive-thru), but when I asked about it they said it was still going on. The 1 day I purchased the $20 card received free $5 item, then spend $3 using the gc for a second order. Today I used the left over balance ($17) towards a new $20 gift card and received free $5 item.

I asked the Taco Bell in my area if I could get the $5 Big Box Meal as the free item when I bought the $20 gift card and they let me.
Also, when I got my order they asked if I wanted to donate $1 to the Boys & Girls Club. I did and it included a coupon for a free crunchy taco. I believe those cost about $1, so it was a win win. :) |
Do they still sell Chaco Tacos? It's been a while since I had one... and don't tell me the ones from the supermarket are the same.

This is still on apparently. Don't know if it is considered a "holiday" promo or what (I found the link to this thread in that thread). I ended up getting a Cantana chicken bowl free with $20 GC purchase...it was alright but definitely no comparison to Chipotle.
The "limited time" XXL nachos would have been perfect except the only $4.99 one is ground beef...I try to stay away from Taco Bell ground beef because it is too scary for me :vomit: Unfortunately the chicken and steak ones were $5.99 and they wouldn't let me pay the extra 99 cents so had to pass on getting one of those. |
Promo still offered here and there, about half the stores in my area (San Diego county). First time I tried to apply the $5 to a combo meal. It took 10 minutes for the staff to discuss, read their super-fine print and finally a phone call (!) before they honored my request. Next two times at other stores the answer was a flat "no". YMMV as you youngsters say.
