Thanks. Has anyone used these products before?

dealguy80 10-25-2012 11:35 AM

I got some previously, they work fine for me as long as you are careful when applying them. I have them on iPad, iPod, iPhone, Canon touchscreen camera and Amazon Kindle.

keysh2oboy 10-25-2012 11:43 AM

Use the full body on all my iPhones and iPads.

Love them. Easy to install using water. Watch vids on their site.

Great product IMHO.

I bought a lot of them and installed it on my friends iphone 5s. They all say its too sticky to be used as a screen protector, but if you use it for the back side protector then its a perfect product. Don't believe in the marketing gimmick Zagg has.

Grr. Kind of dislike the water combo ones. But the dry one I have doesn't last long. Is there any drag on these? Or weird glossy look?

there is drag, and it's really bad when your screen is dirty. but it fits much better than the hard plastic ones and you wont get crazy scratches.

renlopez 10-25-2012 01:40 PM

I'm a little apprehensive about using water on my iphone/ipad to apply these. Besides the risk of getting the phone too wet, do these leave any sticky glue residue?

dont be, ive used zagg's and invisible shield's on numerious devices (3g, 3gs, fascinate, etc.) with no problems and no sticky residue. just leave your phone off for a while if your really worried.

Think of it as condoms. It has a failure rate of 3% (meaning for every 100 nights you exchange intercourse with your SO, 3 of the nights you're not really protected!) yet schools are still insisting children to practice safe intercourse by providing condoms to the kids.

but yes it gorilla glass can still scratch, if you watched last night's episode of South Park you can clearly witness this. Personally I wouldn't get one for the front since I don't plan on taking a knife to my iPad, but it's worth considering for the back. $9 shipped for three, debating.

Pika_Pi 10-25-2012 05:56 PM

According to Amazon Reviews these screen protectors are mediocre. It seems like the dirt cheap eBay screen protectors are better. Clarity and Protector cut-outs are one of it's flaws but nevertheless it's only $1.25 per screen protector so it's worth a shot.

I'm kinda tempted to get in on this for my new Note II since it's so cheap, but I definitely didn't care for the Zagg one I tried a while back. Way too tacky feeling for me.

I got these items also. The individual items were $4.99 each, while the package was $4.99 + $5.00 so I added them separately just out of principal.

I really like Power Support's Anti-Glare screen protectors [powersupportusa.com], but these were dirt cheap and PSC's aren't available yet. Assuming they're not totally horrible, it should be better than nothing until the PSC is released.

Saw this on frontpage. Thought it was for deodorant. LOLS!

chops 10-25-2012 10:54 PM

by the way these screen protectors are absolutely horrible. they are terribly cut and are NOT clean. i bought into this deal and got a few for my S3 and only one was usable. the other had specs of dirt on the sticky side. the other that was usable was cut so poorly i decided to just trash everything. waste of a few bucks

Tempesto 10-25-2012 10:54 PM

I'm quite interested in this product. I wonder how difficult it is to apply and the durability compared to Zagg products and cheap plastic films.

Anyways, the price looks enticing especially with the coupon code so I'm in for a few iphone screen protectors (80off3 worked for me). Thanks!

SecretAznMan 10-25-2012 10:58 PM

Must resist buying this even though I already have this on the back of my iPhone 5...

Chango99 10-25-2012 11:10 PM

Might be a reason why they are having this sale:

Sadly, i bought a Galaxy S II used and it had a very noticable scratch on it. I thought they could not get scratched either. My S1 never got scratched after about 2 years. I see quite a few small scratches on the SII too. That is why i am going to grab one of these.

bjsguess 10-25-2012 11:54 PM

Nice product

Have this on my lumia and focus s. Worked good on both. Picking up a couple for my N7.

Porksword 10-26-2012 12:46 AM

Just wanted to comment on the customer service. I messed up on applying my phone protector, I emailed them and they responded quickly. They sent me a new guard with no questions asked, shipped. Just wanted to let you know the CS for this company is great.

fthnm2005 10-26-2012 03:38 AM

i ordered from this company recently and the covers are too flexible (soft) and didn't last a month. The iPad cover was pathetic and I ended up throwing it away. don't buy!

Theres something about the s2 that scratches like that.

I had a traditional screen protector on my son's ipod touch that never failed. I think it was invisibleshield. It was the one they advertise using a dremel tool on and it still protects the screen. It outlasted the Ipod touch. Sounds like I wasted $3 on these on this deal, wish I had read the whole thread before I ordered.

TheMedicatedOne 10-26-2012 06:12 AM

Just want to comment. I bought a couple of these screen protectors for my Nexus 7 when they were on sale the last time. I was very disappointed. The screen protector does not have a smooth surface, so I found it interfered with using the tablet. I gave it a couple days figuring maybe it needed to set or something, but it was still quite annoying to use. I removed it and got a Skinomi screen protector instead. Cost more, but is much, much better.

YukyCg 10-26-2012 06:13 AM

I also not recommended this screen protector, very hard to apply and its edge already peel off. Bad product.

Iggy 10-26-2012 06:19 AM

Awesome deal! My wife just got an iPad issued at work and I wanted to get her a screen protector but didn't want to spend BIG money on something that wasn't purchased by us. This deal is great for her office iPad.

Very timely deal! Thx OP...rep points coming your way!.

Technocian 10-26-2012 06:24 AM

These are on par with Zagg's yet about 1/20th of the cost with the coupon; I advise everyone to get at least 2 per device they plan on installing them on, as there is always a high chance one or two specs of dust make it under.

Great deal OP.

drew2money 10-26-2012 06:33 AM

I got them for my Razr M and they are a little sticky to the touch. Not as slick as others.

xiaohuaxing 10-26-2012 06:40 AM

bendra 10-26-2012 06:42 AM

In for 2 - very slick!
Thanks & repped OP!!

fuser-invent 10-26-2012 06:45 AM

So I figured I'd come here and give some warnings. Last deal I bought some of these for the front of my HP Touchpad, the front and back of my iPhone 4 and a generic square one to cut for my camera screen.

The generic one was easy to cut and apply with no problems. The iPhone ones went on pretty easy but the hole cut outs for the camera on the back and the home button around the front both look really worn out and rough. I've applied a lot of dry screen protectors and never run into any problems like that.

The HP Touchpad screen protector was completely awful. It looked like it was hand-cut and done very poorly. The hole for the front facing camera [I]did not line up[I] with the hole on the button for the home button. The hole on the home button also wasn't actually a hole but a slot cut out from the edge. So if you put it on completely straight with the edges of the screen, the home button would be partially covered by the screen protector.

I have a BoxWave stylus that I use with Sketchbook on the Touchpad and after applying the screen protector I lost a lot of sensitivity. I had a pretty cheap generic dry protector on there before that I ordered off of ebay and it was much more sensitive. I didn't notice any sensitivity change on the iPhone though.

TLDR - iPhone protector was okay but rough. HP Touchpad protector was aweful. Reduces sensitivity of Stylus.

I don't think you can screw up your phone, unless you soak the phone in water. You just may not like it, and waste a couple of dollars. It's not an ideal cover, I'm still using mine until I find a good deal on one of the better ones.

whats considered a better one?

pen360guin 10-26-2012 08:08 AM

I have an S3 and I purchased a zagg HD shield for it. It is coming off on the top right corner though. Is there anyway to remove it, clean it and reapply it? I have had it on for about two months (bought when they had the 50% off sale.) now so I am a little disappointed in it. I like the fact that it feels very smooth though and I don't really notice that it detracts from the viewing quality.

How comparable is this product to the Zagg? It seems like alot of people are complaining.

I've got a nice big scratch in the middle of my Galaxy SII that would make you a believer. Bums the heck out of me. What really sucks is I'd had a screen protector sitting in the package on my desk for something like 5 months and just never got around to applying it.

tommyson30 10-26-2012 08:45 AM

ordered last time and they never send me anything so watch out, these craps with original price is ridiculous, 10 cents a piece in china, and they sell us $20??? go f**** yourself xtremguard

Lilian 10-26-2012 09:15 AM

Good deal.

For those that are super finicky about their screen might consider something else. XtremeGuards are thicker compared to Invisible Shield and so are more prone to showing bumps and dents compared to a thinner one, if this makes any sense. The marks are only noticeable when the screen isn't actually turned on.

Very interesting. Yeah, i assumed that the SII was like my S1 with the gorilla glass, but it clearly is not the same! It still is a rocking phone. I am going to be happy to have a screen protector on it.

Vision87 10-26-2012 09:42 AM

Just a heads up last time I ordered an iPhone front and two iPod fronts and they sent me four iPhone fronts and two iPod fronts

Consistency is a lot thinner than the zagg protectors, almost like seran wrap but still strong and the corners haven't come up on me yet!! : ) : )

Standard price for the GS3 screen protector on eBay is $1.99 shipped...fyi, if someone doesn't want to buy 2 or more products from them.

Have these on most my devices. Works great...no drag or glossy look when applied correctly. I just used water no soap and it looks perfect. I have also used water and very little soap and it seemed to work the same with just water.

Recommend washing hands. Clean your screen. If you have air duster hit it with that just after cleaning your screen.

This is 100% better than any dry applied PET screen protector. Like I said in the past if you have long finger nails you might get some friction.

Ordered one on ebay for a galaxy blaze for $1.99. The item was delivered via usps in a standard envelope from Prestige Solution, Allan Burningham, 836 South 100 East, Smithfield UT 84335.

Order came in 2 days. I suggest giving your retailer a phone call.

gauravgenius 10-26-2012 03:39 PM

Ordered 3 iphone 5 full body covers, iphone 5 case and iphone 4 full-body covers. Incredible discounts. Wish it were with Zagg though

bjsguess 10-26-2012 04:12 PM

Just ordered 2 for my Nexus 7. Hopefully, I have a positive experience similar to what I've had with this product on my Lumia and Focus S.

BSE is my favorite but they are so much more expensive than these guys.

David30132 10-26-2012 04:13 PM

In for two iPhone 5 protectors for $1.50 shipped with 85% code. Nice deal that will tide me over until Zagg has another half-off sale.

Got 3 for 6 $

Mariss716 10-28-2012 12:08 PM

Amazing. I like to buy Zagg because they were the first mover on this technology, and I have installed hundreds of their products over the years. I would never let any of my devices go "naked," even with Gorilla Glass, scratches happen.

That said, 4 screen protectors, for $8.00 shipped? Sorry Zagg lol. That's insane.

If you're new to applying these products, make sure you watch videos on YouTube. It wouldn't hurt to buy doubles actually at this price, in case you screw up.

The key is patience, using LOTS of solution (if there is not enough in the kit, make more with bottled water and a VERY small amount of dish soap). And tease the little bubbles out with the squeegee tool lightly, I've even used a credit card. The best squeegees are from window tinting kits. Then, once the bubbles are gone, set it with harder strokes.

Just received mine. I received it two days after I ordered probably due to the company being located in Utah (or distribution) and I live in Utah.

So it was only $0.50 more to get 3 instead of 2. Easy choice.

Well I do not agree with you. I had ZAGG for my HD2, corners peeled off. Bought a Skinomi, when I took it off, it was so sticky, took me 5 more minutes to clear the glue off. I went to a XtremeGuard, and sold the phone. I have the XtremeGuard for my SGS3, wife's iPhone5, friend's iPhone5, and other friend's HTC Evo 4G LTE. They all love it. Only downside is that it turns yellow. I love the fact that it is sticky, and it grabs to things like glass and glossy surfaces, fits nice in hand due to the stickiness. It does look nasty on a white phone after it turns yellow, but I think all of these films, whether it is ZAGG, Skinomi or XtremeGuard, will turn yellow after a certain period of use. I use water to wash the film and dry it in a towel. It does tend to like fingerprints, but again, it's the material that all these filmmakers use.

Conclusion: I love it and it is a great price.

NYCRR 10-29-2012 09:49 AM

Thx OP got 2 for $2.50 :)

stone_ 10-29-2012 03:49 PM

which one should fit google's latest nexus 4?

Dudeskis 10-29-2012 04:09 PM

Just got mine in the mail today for the iPhone 5. In the past I've purchased several products from Zagg so I have a frame of reference in comparison.

Some things I observed:
1. This product is wet application and they don't provide it in the package so luckily I have a bunch of liquid left over from Zagg to use. I had some foam device cleaning fluid that I used so I didn't have to dig out the applicator fluid and it worked fine. Know that this product is BRING YOUR OWN APPLICATION FLUID.
2. The device they provide you with the smooth out the bubbles is a piece of cardboard that doesn't slide smoothly on the protector. The device that Zagg provides is made of rubber and does a much better job on your screen.
3. The screen itself seems to be of decent quality and fit correctly on my phone. Only time will tell if it is as durable as the Zagg product but for the price what is there to complain about. I bought 2 extra sets (front and back) so I can rip it off if it wears and start fresh.

All in all getting 3 sets of front and back protection for my phone for $4.50 shipped was a good deal. Again it was a really good deal in my case because I had extra supplies left over from Zagg products to make up for the lack of provided materials for application. Really keep this in mind because if you don't have any fluid for application you're going to get this in the mail and not even be able to put it on your phone.

For those worried about this, please check this page out:
http://www.xtremeguard.com/Articles.asp?ID=239

The solution can easily be made with hand soap. Given that case though, it does beg the question: why not include such a cheap solution for the purchaser?

zergie808 10-29-2012 08:07 PM

Including the solution would increase the cost of shipping the product. No big deal to make your own. One drop of detergent to a cup of water. Baby shampoo also works and is what Zagg used to recommend.

masterofobvious 10-30-2012 12:51 AM

Used the 80off3 with success...ordered two for an HP Touchpad and one for my Pre. Thanks and Repped!

micahman33 10-30-2012 05:51 AM

These are easily the worst screencovers I have ever used. The screencover expanded when I tried to "squeeze" out bubbles, so now it hangs off the edges. Terrible product. Fast shipping though!

I haven't peeled mine off the backing to apply them yet but it did seem a bit thinner than Zagg & BodyGuardz which I normally use. Guess I will squeegee lightly. Best thing to do is wrap whatever you're using to squeegee (credit card, cardboard, Zagg squeegee) with a wet microfiber towel. It will prevent marking the face and let it slide more instead of stretching the product.

User error.

Do not squeeze out so hard. It's okay to leave some small bubbles on there, they will go away in time.

Also apply lots of water on TOP of the screen protector when trying to squeeze bubbles out so the squeeze glides easily.

All skins will stretch if you try to squeeze it out too hard.

Don't blame the film for your own mistakes.

These skins are decent for the cost. Do I need the most perfect screen protector for my gadgets? If so don't buy these - pay 10-30 times more for a "better set". But these are absolutely the best bang for the buck, bar none.

They work well, and if you're adept at applying skins like Best Skins, Zagg, PhantomSkinz, etc., these are no different. I'm quite pleased with the several orders I've had in the past. Work well, and cheap.

Akarin 10-30-2012 09:54 AM

in my opinion, regular screen protectors on ebay for 50cent-$1 protects the device just as good and is easier to apply, no need to mess with water.

Agree is some ways. I too sometimes use the cheaper screen protectors which are adequate, but if they get scratched they don't heal, but easily replaceable.

Two negatives with the dry cheap screen protectors - they attract dust very easily, and can be a huge pain to take dust off. Wet install allows you to simply wet the skin and clean off any dust prior to it drying.

Secondly, the cheap dry protectors do not protect the back of the device. They are only for flat screens. These full wet installs are great for back of phones as well. I fully cover the back of my phones, to prevent scratches to the back, and to make them easier to hold.

The solution is just water and small amount of soap...

I paid insane prices for Zagg back when they first came out but didn't like them. These Xtreme Guards are better (imo) as they're not as sticky/rubbery if you use plain water to clean it a couple minutes after the application dries. Got 2 initially, just bought 6 more. Thanks op!

billbillw 10-30-2012 11:22 AM

Nice. Just got 2 screen protectors for my phone for only $2.50. I also find that the more expensive ones are not worth it. I've had plenty of good luck with the ~$5 ones from Amazon or Ebay.

rockdaboat17 10-30-2012 12:54 PM

Haven't used these but I typically order my screen protectors from monoprice.com and have had excellent quality with the glossy and matte finish from them. I usually wait till I have to order something else to combine on the shipping... it's more than the cost of the item.

And yes, the glass can/will scratch on the phone. I've done it. Just drop your keys in the same pocket as your phone and sit down for a few minutes...

k2000 10-30-2012 02:32 PM

A waste of $1.5 for me.

Recieved mine fairly fast, shipped on the 29th, came today on the first. The iphone cases are your generic one you can find everywhere, The wave design. Not bad for 80% off.

Haven't tested the iphone screen protectors yet. Also ordered TF700 full body but they gave me two front covers. Not a giant deal.

If you do contact them via email, make sure you have your Order #, First and Last name, and shipped address so you can skip a response asking for that.

you don't have to buy 2 for this deal to work anymore. anyway, bought one and quite disappointed. it doesn't cover the screen for my s3 completely and the cuts are horrible... owned several phones and never gotten a scratch on it anyway, even after dropping it, so don't think I'll ever use one, still. at least I'm only out $1.25
