TARGET THREAD RULES:

  • Do not ask (even in a covert way) for any coupon that has been scanned or discuss any coupon that is not used for its intended purpose. This goes for ALL scanned – this is what ALTERED means – this will cause this thread to shut down, per Moderator warning.
  • Do not post directly to Ebay auctions. It is considered self-promotion because the mods don’t have a way to verify if you are the seller or not.
  • Do not discuss or promote unethical and/or illegal activities with coupons or GCs (i.e. using expired coupons, using fake coupons, etc). Do not post expired coupons. Do not discuss ways to use expired manufacturer’s coupons.
  • Do not discuss ways to misuse the true intent of a manufacturer coupon.
  • Target.com has changed to the E-Centives coupon printing system where you have to download special software that keeps track of what you printed, like bricks coupons. The coupons print out directly to your printer and now have a limit of 2 prints per computer.
  • In keeping with SD rules, multiple per pages (MPPs) coupons ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED.
  • No begging for coupons allowed. You may ask where a coupon originated but that is it. Requests for Coupon Trades should be directed here.
  • Finally - Mod Alert any fighting! The mods would rather catch it in the beginning, versus going back 5 pages to see what happened.

How do I let someone know they've posted a no-no?
  • If you feel it would be beneficial and helpful to the thread as a whole, go ahead and post an answer. But if you need to correct someone on an etiquette issue or on coupon use, try PM'ing them first. That avoids embarrassment and negative posts. The mods are watching our thread closely--we want to keep things helpful and pleasant.

I have a request/new rule that will will need to be implemented in threads such as this from now on.

When you make a post you need to avoid doing a copy and paste of the work of someone else. It is stealing to copy and paste things directly from other sites such as the TT site.

We have been contacted by them and asked nicely to stop doing that.

If you see good coupons or deals just we love to have you share them with us, just be sure to rewrite them before posting.

This thread has been renewed to change the first post to the wiki and add 3 more wikis.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I contact Target Guest Relations?
  • (800) 440-0680
  • Guest.Relations@Target.Com
  • Questions, Comments and/or Complaints about Target/Super Target and/or Team Members.
  • When sending a Team Member compliment and/or complaint, keep in mind that ETL's get share-pay bonuses, while Team Members don't. Stores are responsible for store-controlled things like clean restrooms and sales floors, carts and hand baskets available, response time to the jewelry and electronics counters and Guest call buttons, etc. Also, use a different E-mail/name each time, else after 2-3 complaints they just refer you to the Store Team Leader (STL).

What is Target's Price Match Policy?

Target stores will now match prices of other stores with a physical ad of the competing store, as well as products from the Target.com website. Please refer to their official price match policy at their website for additional details and/or stipulations: Target's Low Price Promise [target.com]

When does Target do their markdowns?

Mark Down Schedule - Please note that the list may not be entirely accurate, as some stores have reportedly made changes to this schedule and other stores may be days (or weeks) behind schedule!
  • Monday - Electronics, Kids Clothing and Stationery (Cards, GiftWrap, etc.)
  • Tuesday - Domestics, Women's Clothing, Pets and Market (food items)
  • Wednesday - Men's Clothing, Toys, Health and Beauty, Lawn & Garden items
  • Thursday - House Wares, Lingerie, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Movies, Music, Books, Decor and Luggage
  • Friday - Auto, Cosmetics, Hardware, & Jewelry

Is there a different markdown schedule for the holidays?

Holiday Clearance Schedule Please note that with the last few holidays, stores are not as rigid with this schedule and can be a day or two ahead or behind. Bagged holiday candy is slower to be marked down than other holiday merchandise.
  • 50% off day after holiday for three days
  • 75% off fourth day after holiday for three days
  • 90% off seventh day after holiday for 1-2 days.

Why are some items tagged "as is" instead of clearance?

They are items that were received in to the store but are not stocked in that particular store. It happens occasionally.

What's the "inside scoop" on Target's pricing policies?

Quote:

A few things about Target and their pricing policy:

First, Target is split into 2 sections. Hardlines and Softlines.
Softlines: All clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and infant items
Hardlines: Everything else

Softlines have set days for mark-downs. Hardlines do not.
At my store, the softline schedule is:
Monday - Boys, Girls, and Infants (the non-clothes infants (aka infant gondolas) may or may not go down on this day, a majority of the items will, but can go down on different days).
Tuesday - Ready To Wear (aka Womens, Juniors, and Plus)
Wednesday - Mens
Thursday - Lingerie, Hosiery, Women's Active Wear, and Shoes
Friday - Jewelry, Purses, Accessories

The way pricing works (this will explain how Hardlines is marked down): The pricing team prints out the labels for the day, these are small price increases and "Price Cuts" (not to be confused with "Temporary Price Cuts" which have an end date).
Then, the pricing team goes to the pricing section of the PDA, and does "todays load". It gives them a section, aisle, and location of the mark-down. If it is a price cut, the PDA will tell them to scan the label, if it is going on mark-down, it will tell them to scan the item to "activate".

It is normal to have a 1,000 price changes in a day for the pricing team to do (which is usually 2-3 people). Many of these price changes you won't ever notice. For example, one time I had to mark nail polish up a penny. That is 20+ labels to scan and put up. I'm pretty sure it cost more for the pricing teams salary than they would make on the item.

There are 3 categories of clearance. First, Further, and Final. First is usually 30%, except HBA (Health & Beauty Aids) and sometimes Grocery, which can start at 15%. Further, is 50% (and 30% for those that started at 15%). Final is 75%.

Mark downs are usually 2 weeks between markdowns, but may go faster toward the end. It is general guideline, not a rule. All mark-downs come from corporate, and the store has no control over when an item is marked down or up. The only exceptions are "Additional Markdowns" (see below) and "Repackage" items. But even those items, the PDA gives the price, we just print out the label.

After 75%, most items are salvaged, though certain items can be salvaged sooner, usually higher end products, such as Dyson and Flip cameras. When an items is salvaged, it is marked out of the system, and taken to Receiving, put in a Salvage box, which the Receiving clerk checks against the salvage report, and most times is sent to GoodWill or a Reverse Logistics company that pays pennies on the pound for the salvaged items.

The Pricing Team Lead may decide to take an "Additional Mark-Down" on some items that were supposed to go salvage. For instance, if there is a lot of an item because it missed mark-down, was mis-stocked, or in the backroom, an additional may be done. An additional will most times be 85%, unless the item was salvaged at 50%, the additional would be 75%. An Additional Mark-Down requires the approval of the Pricing Team Lead or an LOD, or in some instances, both, so not "any" employee can do it for you.

There is also two kinds of Clearance. Ticketed and Non-Ticketed.
Non-Ticketed is clearance that is usually seasonal, and follows an approximately 10-day markdown schedule. Non-ticketed is obviously not ticketed, and will have Red with White Lettering signs that state "mark-down taken at register". Non-ticketed will start at 30%, 50%, 75%, then 90%. Non-ticketed is also done in the computer, so it will be active within a few hours of opening.
Ticketed- obviously has red & white stickers on them, and will have (if any) signs up that are White w/ Red Lettering that states "prices as marked". Ticketed items are marked down throughout the day.
*These signs may be put up in front of the wrong things, the Pricing Team may have new people or people helping that do not know the difference.

Hardlines clearance does follow a little of a schedule, but it is not absolute. A majority of Electronics will get marked down on Mondays, HBA on Fridays, ect.. There is a schedule in the Wiki that is pretty close, but Hardlines items can go at any time. The days/schedule is usually when the clearance endcaps are scanned and further and final markdowns are done. There is not a set day the pricing team has for this, it is determined that day if an endcap in a certain area is required to be scanned or not.

As for items not marked or found for salvage. At the end of each Pricing Day the un-found items that are still in the PDA are "activated". That is why you may find an item that is not marked, but scans the clearance price, or a clearance item that scans at a lower price than ticketed. Even if 1 item is found, but there are 2 other in the wrong place, once that first one is scanned, it activates that price for the rest of the items with that DPCI.

Some other things that may help you with shopping with Target.

Have you ever wondered what the location (example) A35(1)3-5-5 means?
A - the section of the store
35 - the aisle
(1) - the start of the location
3 - the section of gondola in the aisle
5 - how many shelves up from the floor it is
5 - the spaces over that the item is

Section of the store- pretty self-explanatory Most aisles will have a letter and a number at the start and end of the aisle.

The aisle - Starts with 1 toward the front of the store in each section, and goes on.

The start of the location, let's take the eye car aisle, for example. The first section of this aisle is pegs with glasses hanging on it. The next 3 gondolas are shelves 5 rows high with contact solution and eye drops. The next 2 gondolas are only 4 shelves high with diabetes health care. For each new kind of gondola, the section numbers will start at 1 again. So the glasses will be on A6(1), the contact solution and eye drops would start at A6(2), and the Diabetes care would be A6(2). This helps understand the next numbers. Other location numbers are (0) - which means it's an endcap, and (99) - which means it's a sidecap. For endcaps, the Odd number is on the main aisle, and the Even number is the "back" endcap (where the clearance endcaps are). A co-worker once told me "It's odd that the even are on the back", a little mnemonics device to help me remember.

The section of the gondola in the aisle. There are usually 6 gondolas in an aisle. You can see the separation of the shelves going down the aisle. The numbers start at 1 from the main aisle. So, A may start at 1 and go <-- and B will start at 1 and go -->

The number of shelves up from the bottom. If the item is hanging, it may have a P1, P2, P3, ect.. or an F1, F2, F3, ect.. Otherwise, it is the standard 1, 2, 3, 4, ect..

The spaces an item is over on that gondola.

If you look at the label picture below, you will see this (from the top-down)
Description
Price
DPCI (DePt Class Item)
Location (the shelf label will only include the last three location numbers, it assumes you already know which aisle you are in).
The number next to the location is how many items will be facing. In the example: *01 means that it will have 1 row, and the * means it has multiple locations at the time the shelf label was made. The * could mean that it is simply below and above (like printer paper is) or it could be on an endcap, or in this case, the front of the store.
The number under that is the last of the UPC. Most times they will match up, but sometimes they do, because the manufacturer may have made a different UPC for a bonus pack, new packaging, ect.. but Target still keeps the same DPCI.

How can I check inventory before heading to the store?

To check inventory online input the DPCI in the form of xxx-xx-xxxx in the "Search" portion of the Target website. You will then be able to click on "Find In Store" to see the list of available stores.

or replace the xxxxxxxx's w/ the online item # number found on the item webpage above the dpci in *other info*.
http://m.target.com/fiats/t-xxxxxxxx (8 #'s)

How do I know an item is out of stock?

If an item is out of stock (OOS) on both the shelf and the backroom and needs to be ordered from the warehouse, there will be a small gray dot sticker on the shelf price tag of the item. If there is no gray dot on the shelf price tag, enter the DCPI number into an updated price check scanner to check back room stock of the item. If your store has the old style of scanners, ask a team member to check the stock of the item for you.

Does Target give out rainchecks?

If an item you want is out of stock, there should be a little tear off pad with rainchecks on the shelf. You tear one off and take it to the cashier/CS, tell them the quantity you want, and they will print a raincheck. Please note: current rainchecks do not have a barcode and when you go to use a raincheck, the cashier has to manually type it in rather than scanning a barcode.

If the cashier does not know how to process a raincheck, gently guide them through the process below:
Key 9801 + DPCI

What does DPCI stand for?

DPCI stands for DePartment, Class, Item. it's Target's proprietary SKU # system for inventory control. the format is xxx xx xxxx and can be found on the shelf tag, on the price scanner when you scan a bar code and on the left side of your receipt.

What is Target's Coupon Acceptance Policy?

Dear Target Guest,

Thanks for asking again about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping at Target, and we make it easy to use them at our stores. But because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target:
  • We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued coupons and manufacturer-issued coupons.
  • We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
  • We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in that case, we'll adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
  • We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
  • All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of sale.
In addition, Target empowers the store to limit the number of items a guest buys with coupons. We reserve the right to limit purchases to reasonable family-size quantities. Have questions or want more information about using coupons at Target? Check with a Guest Services Team Leader at your local store. You can also give us a call at (800) 440-0680, or visit us on Target.com. Either way, we're here to help!

Thanks for shopping with us. We'll see you again soon at Target.

Dear Target Guest,

Thanks for writing back regarding our coupon acceptance at Target. When a coupon states one per purchase, and you have more than one, you can use one coupon per item, as each item is considered a purchase and not a transaction.

We always welcome your questions, so if we can assist you in the future, please contact our Target Guest Relations team at (800) 440-0680. You can also speak with a team member at the Guest Services Desk at your local Target store, or visit us on Target.com. Either way, we're here to help!

Why do my coupons beep *item not found (INF)* at Target?

item not found = computer cannot do a match because:
  • coupons coded x xxxxx xxx00 x beep at all stores
  • coupons coded x xxxxx xxx01 x beep at target, but not at kmart
  • short barcode x xxxxxx x
  • mfr code is off by a zero
ex: aveeno q mfr: 5 08137 xxxxx x, product mfr code: 8137 xxxxxx x. also clean and clear.
  • family code doesn't match ex.most nexxus products

Does Target do Missed Coupons?

There's no one answer as to the time frame a missed coupon can be taken off receipt... It depends on the store and the person at customer service. Some stores say till the end of the day. Some stores say 3 days. Some say 1 week. And some say until receipt is valid (90-days) Some don't care (so that would also mean 90-days).

Does Target adjust coupon values?

Target's policy is that they can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in that case, they'll adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item. Some cashiers may not catch "overage" if a coupon scans properly; however, as with all things Target, this is YMMV. As the policy states that Target will not give cash back, just accept "FREE after coupon" and move on to the next deal :). It is best to always keep a copy of the Target Coupon Policy with you at all times, just in case.

If a cashier does not know how to manually process a coupon, gently guide them through the steps below:
  1. Select Coupons/Discounts (K4).
  2. Select Coupons.
  3. Select Manufacturer or Store coupon.
  4. Key the adjusted coupon value and press Enter.

You will then receive texts from Target supplying you a link to go to on your phone. You will need internet on your phone to use that link. Just show the barcode to your cashier and they just need to scan it.

Coupon is unique per phone# and can only be used once per item.

Don't have internet on your phone? That's fine- sign up any way and then on your computer go here [target.com]. Enter your phone number and print out the barcode.

What are some good tips for a successful coupon trip to Target?

Quote:

Originally Posted by whatalotofstuff (Post 16582211)
Here's an important couple of tips.. :)

1) Target puts out their own coupons on their website. You can combine Target coupons and use them with manufacturer's coupons. So if you have a Target coupon for Heinz Ketchup for $1.00, and a manufacturer's coupon for Heinz Ketchup for $1.00 - you are allowed to use them both together and get $2.00 off your ketchup purchase. :) So check Target's website, I think they put up new coupons every other weekend.

2) You can also find Target coupons in the newspaper. If they aren't in your newspaper, check e*bay and coupon clipper sites - do a search for "Target coupons" and see what comes up. You can also combine these with manufacturer's coupons. Right now there are Target insert/newspaper coupons for $2.00 off Kotex items and there are manufacturer's coupons for $1.00 or $.50 off Kotex items. This makes some of the Kotex items FREE.

3) Check your coupons and make sure that they don't say "excludes trial items" on them. If they don't, you should be able to use them on trial items, potentially getting them FREE. (This varies from store to store, some stores will refuse you.) Not long ago, there were $1.00 Tide detergent coupons, and you could use them on the Tide trial sizes which were $1.00 = FREE Tide.

4) Keep your eyes open for coupons in the actual store. Sometimes Target will have tearpads, peelies, hangtags, etc, that are Target coupons. Again, you can combine them with your manufacturer coupons. Right now there are $1.00 Target Ziplock coupons attached to some Ziplock items in the store + $1.00 Ziplock manufacterer coupons = some pretty cheap darn Ziplock stuff..

5) Watch the Target ads for gift card deals. These are AWESOME. Combined with coupons, sometimes Target will pay YOU to take items off their hands. The last major one I remember was the Venus or Fusion razors.. it was buy two, get a $5 or $10 gift card, I can't remember which. And there were $4 coupons available to use on the razors. Buy two razors, use two $4 coupons and get handed a gift card back.. good deal. :woot: There's also a Sobe gift card deal coming up, making the Sobe free using coupons.

6) Keep your eyes open for coupons that say "buy x product, get y product free." Then combine those with other coupons. Example: I had coupons for $1.00 off Chinet plates. I also had coupons for FREE Heinz ketchup when you buy Chinet plates. I ALSO had $3 off $15 partyware purchase Target coupon. Combine all those, and I now live in a Chinet fort and take baths in ketchup. :D My skin has never looked so smooth (and tomatoey) and my utility bills have never been so high. (I'm kidding, I'm kidding..)

Hope that helps out a little bit. We were all new once. Feel free to PM someone when you have a question about something they post here.. if they don't answer, at least you tried, right? And a bunch of people will answer.

What happens to Target salvage and food?

A- Our Merchandise Salvage program sends unsold product to organizations for resale: although we maintain a business relationship with both nonprofit and for-profit partners, more than 900 of our stores enjoy partnerships with Goodwill Industries affiliates, which provides services like job training along with low-cost goods.

(this section of the corporate responsibility report has constantly shrunk in wording from 2004 to non-existent in the current 2011 report. however, the wording in the 2004, 2007 and 2009 reports was essentially the same, therefore i do not believe there have been any major changes to the merchandise salvage program. there may be some language on the subject in the current annual report. -slowtech 1/11/13)

Since 2001, we've partnered with Feeding America in its fight to end hunger in the United States. We donate millions of pounds of food each year, providing millions of meals to families in need. The Glade deal of Old usually starts around Nov. 15th, but who knows if there will be another one since we just came off the Mist/Diffuser one. I'm going to have to get a POD if I 'buy' anymore Glade

I think it should be usable on Halloween, though I'm sure others will see it differently.

Purina Beggin or Busy dog treats $1/2 TQ (12/31/12)

There's also a $1ip at pureloveforpets.com for these.

Does anyone know the price of them?

viovio 10-28-2012 10:37 AM

$5GC when you buy 2 Curel. Got those: http://www.target.com/p/curel-ult...term=curel I know it's not MM like it was before, but i gave away and used everything i had, and this is great cream. I had two coupons $1off Curel, but i think those were from mailing samples, not sure where i had them from. More expensive creams from CUREL had $2 peelies on.

Burts Bee- a lot of stuff were marked for GC deal. Cheapest Hydration Treatment product was $9.99 cream cleanser. Wipes worked for GC as well http://www.target.com/p/burt-s-be...term=burts bee Funny thing that both $3MQ for Hydration Therapy cleansers coupons attached to sensitive wipes, and only one $3TQ went fine, another beeped, even if i had 2 cleansers.

The Beggin Strips are on TPC until 12/22 for 2.50 for the 6 oz bag--I've been buying them like crazy for the shelter. I've been using the BOGO MQ on them

I bought the Sauve yesterday and did four orders. On 2 orders it said I did not spend the 10.00
so would not take the T coupon. Cashier put it in anyway.....then the next order it works.
Could not figure out why.....so put the T coupon first..before any other coupons and it went though.
Had the same thing happen with the method....first coupon flashed the red screen....then next three coupons worked. Frustrating to the new cashiers.

Beggin Strips are 2.50 for 6 oz.

Jerky is 3.99 and 4.49 I think--bought lots before with the TQ and the $1 peelie on the bags.

I got mine in the mail yesterday as well, along with a $5/50 toy purchase TQ (stuck to the back of the catalog) but did not see them in the stores yesterday morning.

The TQ is meant only for the blue label hydration therapy product. It beeps on the sensitive items. Odd that they would make it so specific. My store only had one left.

If I remember correctly, the last Lego Target giftcard was advertised in the Target toy Booklet/ catalog & was put out when the toy book was put out.

Hope I get one in the mail. I want to use my $/$$ general purchase cat & 5% mailer tq on Halloween clearance.

Did not get a Toys r us toy book yet either.

hi, link to your last thread here

i made the op wikipost and added two more wikiposts.

if you wish to discuss amongst yourselves on how the wikis should be used, kindly use the target chit chat thread, located in the lounge forum.

niko2k4 10-29-2012 10:16 PM

Starting it off with a kicker:

Any items bought between now and December 24th -- Target will be price matching with any store ad or any of the five online retailers listed previously. According to the wording it seems, if you buy an item on Nov. 3rd, and it goes on sale at a different store (in weekly ad & doesn't hit any exceptions) on December 12th, they will price match it.

Naturally, the Black Friday ads will not be included in this.

Just wanted to remind everyone that you'll need to create a new subscription and/or sticky for this thread because it won't carry over from the retired thread. ;)

I believe I read in the weekly flyer that Target.com is excluded from this price guarantee.

Do you know if there are any other limitations? I assume that you can do ti only once.

a) www.target.com/morereasons <-- specifically mentions Target.com as a part of it. If nothing else, when the online retailer matching likely comes later this week, that should mention it I would think...

b) limitations are here:
http://www.target.com/HelpContent...2|X0Y0W2H2

Yes, you can only get one of the same item per this, but it does not limit the number of different items

There's a few other major ones, including Nov.22-Nov26 not included, but read through it thoroughly for a better idea.

I've been collecting these pics for few weeks already. There are pictures from food to toys.

Besides the pictures, I noticed that there are a lot of floor model appliances on clearance, and some of the garden stuff.

The pictures are named so it will be easy to get an idea of what is hiding there.

Enjoy!

On another note (OT) I wanted to let those of you out on the East coast who are battling "Sandy" you are in our thoughts and prayers and if there's anything the rest of us can do to help you out, just ask and I'm sure there will be enormus response from all of your SD friends and family.

My GSTL told me a couple of weeks ago that T.com WILL be able to be PM'd.

wildcouponlady 10-30-2012 06:38 AM

I saw a dora sheet set marked down under 10.00.....with that 20% coupon.....even a better deal.
Is the new GE coupon 1.00 off?
My store still had quite a lot of candy bags on the shelves. With this wet and cold weather, I don't expect much to be going out the door.

Hope everyone has made it through Sandy safe and sound, with no major damage  We had tons of wind and rain here, Naval base closed on Mon and my college is still half underwater today (so no class today :yahoo:, the one good thing today haha).

I'll get the Mon recap up later today, since quoting the retired thread is a pain in the patootie. Also, I had volunteered last week to Slowtech to be the "Wiki volunteer" for this thread, so I will spend the next day or so trying to make the Wikis (thanks Serra! :bounce:) a little neater and more organized. If anyone has any suggestions for this, please feel free to pm me :), so we don't clog up the thread.

Again, sending nothing but positive thoughts to all of those who got the worst of Sandy, I'm sure my complaints about a little wind and flooding are nothing compared to those in the NY/NJ area . If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Just curious...

anyone that has received a Target mailer (catalog, coupons,etc)...
do you live in an apt or have a unit #?

I read some place that they don't mail to apts or places with unit #s,
just wanting to see how true this is/may be.

Thanks!

Legally, the post office isn't required to deliver any mail addressed to "Occupant" or which are clearly advertising. This means that people with small mailboxes do not always receive mailers like that. It's a call made my the individual mail person. (At least, that is what is printed in our company's official FAQ about why one may not be able to receive ourcoupons in the mail. )

I live in a house with a locked mail box for 5 other houses--which has nothing to do with it--but this toy catalog is addressed with my name on it.

Ah good to know...was just curious. Yep, I am aware of the "occupant or current resident" rule (this goes for any piece of mail) but was wondering about those that have it directly addressed to them and live in an apt or duplex. If you live in a house with a cluster box, you still only have 1 address not an addy with an addtl #, (which some folks on another site were discussing as the issue). Some retailers don't want to pay the extra fee for it as the return rate is higher than the mailing itself.

We use to receive them then we moved to another city & no longer receive anything - house in both cases.
I know the theory/rhyme or reason of why you do or don't is a mystery but I was just curious.

Thanks everyone!

Hi all! I come bearing coupons I can't use again. I got some Huggies TQs in the mail (I don't know why, we never buy diapers... ever). If anybody could use the following, send me a PM!

Both expire 12/31
$2 off with purchase of both HUGGIES diapers & wipes
$1.50 off 44- to 72-ct. HUGGIES Overnights diapers

Also, is it possible for someone to price check the Puffs with Vicks for me? Thank you!

 We haven't gotten TQs in the mail in a while so it's possible my mom signed up for baby stuff last year when we needed them, but I'm not really sure.

whatalotofstuff 10-30-2012 05:51 PM

I know the Tangerine Kitchen Aid mixer was on clearance a while back, but can anyone confirm exactly what display models they have been seeing on clearance..? Same mixer? I never saw a confirmation of color or style on those.

Tangerine display model. Tangerine is the only color that went 70% off. And it is the 4.5qt Ultra model KSM95TG0

One of the triggers for the coupon mailers is buying hypoallergenic items.

There was an article out last year where a father was upset about his high school aged daughter receiving baby related coupon mailers. Target stated that they merely guess who's pregnant based on typical items pregnant women begin buying - like unscented or hypoallergenic lotions.

anything in particular you're excited about? I was actually walking around today thinking the clearance has seemed pretty dry lately-- I am really having a hard time finding some decent deals ... I feel like a month ago there was plenty of detergents, household products, makeup, food etc that was pairing up with my Qs ... I am feeling pretty :O about what I have seen lately...

lachie 10-30-2012 06:13 PM

Just mentioning this since someone asked a question about something like this last week---Tonight I made the bacon wrapped chicken breasts stuffed with jalapeno cream cheese. I 'doctored' them up a little-as my Dad used to say- and they were pretty yummy. The cream cheese doesn't melt out like the cheddar ones I've made before. With my additions they were very rich but good and smelled wonderful.

HALLOWEEN!!!! LOL I love getting decorations and crafts for next year, not to mention dress up clothes for the kids. And of course the "hidden clearance"...noticed small peg bags of Lego Friends in the Halloween section today. Last year I got Halloween-themed Mac N Cheese for .12 that lasted us all the way through the middle of summer!

Def excited for Halloween clearance... In that aspect- this is my favorite time of year for holidays/clearance.... Forgot tomorrow is Halloween... This week has been so weird as I am in PA close to Philly... And grew up in Jersey... ESP on the Jersey Shore in Point Pleasant/Belmar/Seaside... So I am a mess looking at how bad things are there and am all screwed up with my days lol!

My favorite Halloween clearance last year was the large bags of single-serve variety chips. They were not marked at my store, but I read about it here on SD. I was able to get as many as I wanted, but I only bought a cart full, which was about eight bags. I will be looking for them again.

I've also seen 2 almond colored mixer displays on clearance for $229, they never hit 70% and I don't have the specs on those.

I bought these the other day with the 3.00 off q. I did nothing to them and they were good! Easy and yummy.....

I had great finds today! I found organic clearance Gold Medal marked as-is for $1.56 from $6.19. I bought 4 and I left 2. Now I have no excuse not to use my new mixer. lol!
Also found as-as 5 cans of Campbell's Chicken soup with wild rice for $.36 and 3 boxes of Barilla spaghetti for $.36 also. Now to see if there are any Qs that I can use.

I happened on a new cashier (I think she was new). The barcodes on these products were covered, and she went on to peel them so she can scan them and then manually override the price. I told her that she has to scan the stickers. She was reluctant at first but she did it. Seriously?! Why do you think somebody placed blank stickers over the barcode on all products? Just to kill some time maybe?

I've been trying to watch the prices of cooking oil since the first Crisco TQ came out. I'm glad new Crisco and Wesson TQs came out. Crisco Vegetable only and Wesson Vegetable and Canola oils are finally on TPC for $2.99 for 48 oz. Hopefully some MQs will come out to make it an even better deal. TPC for Wesson is until 11/24 and Crisco is until 12/29.

Crisco $2.99 - $1 TQ = $1.99
Wesson $2.99 - $0.75 TQ = $2.25

Forgot to check the price of PAM though.

However, I do believe that this flyer was approved and printed weeks ago, and meanwhile T changed their strategy.

I didn't do a lot to them, just browned them in some bacon grease , baked them covered, and when they were done added some sun dried tomato alfredo sauce to the juices and let it cook down a little to thicken for a sauce. These were yummy too...

Thanks.. I saw a dark gunmetal gray display model sitting on a clearance endcap. I asked about it and they scanned it.. it came up as $299 which is regular price right now. After a few reds put their heads together, they all agreed it had just been put in the wrong place. Which was probably correct.... but I just wanted to see if anyone else had seen that color on clearance.

This is not true. All mail with postage is required to be delivered. However, if there is a mistake (such as, incorrect address spellings or number) on mail with "Occupant" or "Current Resident" it is considered waste. Instead of using the proper channels to acquire adresses, some companies will just use every number and many times the numbers do not exist. So if your address is Winterberry, but mailers have Winterbury on mail you may not receive said mailpiece.

The pictures are named so it will be easy to get an idea of what is hiding there.

Enjoy!

Relatively off-topic, but to many kids it'll be considered a deal ;)

Excited for tonight - we're attached to a mall, so we'll be getting tons of people in costumes coming in, and there'll be someone (sadly I have to run the front, so not me :() handing out candy for a few hours at the mall entrance. Always so much fun to see.

I happen to be off today. What is the best time to hit Target for some Halloween clearance? On opening or are the items marked by the mark down team and I shoul wait few hours? Or few days even for a better percentage? Can we still buy something at 70% and return it with the 50% receipt (holiday stuff)?
TIA

Halloween clearance is automatic, no markdown team. In past years I have done the rebuy and return with different receipt thing, but I think someone mentioned a change in policy for Halloween clearance this year (maybe just costumes?).

Unfortunately, the last time T updated the website, it took down all the inventory trackers. Your best bet is the DPCI on T.com.

i believe holiday clearance is auto markdown by corporate..so once store opens..it is at 50...70..90..etc..depending on day. i usually go in the a.m... but i always just personally wait for 90% days to go. im in nyc..so our target was on a generator yesterday..and parts of it is closed off..only essentials were open yesterday. im pretty certain halloween clearance is underway there but we just got power back today.. ..hopefully things will be back normal here soon! and..yes..u can still buy and return with old receipt..except for costumes. hths!

Anyone else at 70% off for candy today already? All candy at mine was 70% and everything else was 50%. Stocked up on paper towels, Hefty Halloween quart size ziplocs, Annie's Halloween bunny grahams box of 36, Clif Kid bars packs of 18, packs of 20 Cheez Its, Herr's chocolate covered pretzel packs, Kleenex, Market Pantry Halloween fruit flavored snacks, box of 54, and, of course, some candy. I have to agree. I also use cloth towels when at all possible, Just can't see throwing $$ in the trash

Interesting shopping trip..for 3 days all halloween food items, bakeware, etc has been condensed into 1 isle over from all candy.
50% Signs were up on both sides, and all along entire side end to end of this area. Most ringing up correctly BUT,
1) the large gold fish cartons should have scanned $6.99, the came up reg price.
2)bags of nestle butterscotch morsels TPC $2.29 till 11/3 ? scanned reg price not tpc or 50% off
3)large boxes Market pantry fruit snacks TPC $5.99 till 11/3? scan as regular price also.
Red walked past as I was talking about all this to DD, she goes n gets LOD, who starts taking all the TPC prices down.
I point out they are good till 11/3 as marked on sign. I ask if everything in this isle ( both sides) is 50% off , she says "yes"
So I grab 3 gold fish and a few of above mentioned. She says those are NOT 50% off! Then removes all 50% off signs on that side.
I turn to my left and as say" so this is all 50% though right?" ".Yes" she says," that side is correct". So I take another gold fish as there are some there as well, and a few other items.
She grabs the 50% signs off that entire side and says its just the cookies under THIS sign!
Keep in mind both sides of shelves were full offood/ non food products not just 2-4 boxes here and there
DD is about to expload. Im scratching head shocked by All of her actions etc. I told her" I will be going to the register with these items and paying 50% off as marked and also the % off the tpc as all signs say" and I said it nice just firm.
Shes pissed and talking rude and my DD tells her how dare you treat my mother that way it was your stores mistake and corporates about the tpc's. You should speak with respect and own up to any mistakes. We walk off as I hug her :) .No problems at register

tarribear 11-01-2012 11:23 AM

Could not find it here or in Wiki- the DPCI or DCPI for the crest 3d 5.8 oz size,TIA

dentbill 11-01-2012 12:14 PM

Bounty quilted paper napkins Halloween design ( 200 pkg) are ringing @ 1.49. There is a Bounty paper napkin coupon for $ 1/2 in the PG flyer dated 10/14.

8110100370000

I found these in the regular section, near the paper products.....not in the holiday section. They were on an endcap.

usual price is $2.99. It is 50 % off. I needed napkins and did not want to wait until the next markdown and chance not having any.

nofunname 11-01-2012 12:16 PM

Went to scope out Target today just to see what kinds of things were left. I don't ever buy anything at 50% because i don't NEED any of it, and 50% still isn't worth it. I'll get some stuff at 70% if it's something I could use, but I'll typically wait for 90%. I'd love to put a sign up at T that said - yeah, it's 50% off now, but if you DON'T buy it now, it will go 70 and then 90% so don't waste your money!

My T was still at 30 for good candy and 50 for the other stuff, costumes etc. The 30 and 50 stuff was all mixed up though. I didn't want to fight that battle, I am fine to wait for 70 or even 90 :D Most of what I want is candy, so the less there is left, the better for my waistline!

I took a quick swing through the Halloween items this afternoon after picking up my prescription... same as everyone has described - 30% on candy, 50% on other items - except for a few random food items.

I managed to find one Halloween Barbie to stash away for next year for DD. I try to give her one new holiday toy for when the decoration boxes come out of storage so this was perfect. The kids Solo cups are great for parties so I grabbed the last 3 black ones they had.

The bar code is on the back of the box that contains a map at the bottom of the packaging (not on the car.) I guess you draw a line on the map with the pen, set the car on the map, and the Target dog auto-drives (or follows) the line. It's really quite heavy. I'll post more detail this weekend after the grands open them.

HTH!

There's a class action lawsuit against some organic milk producers including Target's Archer Farms milk. If you have purchased this milk before September you are entitled to settlement money. The details are here: https://www.organicmilkmarketingsettlement.com/ Please don't lie if you haven't purchased these items in the past. Read the FAQs on the website for more information about how to find out if you qualify. Costco sent me an email about it because their Kirkland brand milk is included in the settlement and I've bought that in the past.

Due to bad weather Halloween will be this Sat. Other stores are delaying markdowns. Is Target in NE OH still clearancing now?

That's actually the DCPI :P Oh and I bought the same undershirts (tank tops I assume) and I mentioned that the DCPI comes up as a nonspecific "white underwear" product. They were $2.26 at my T.

I tried buying 4 Gillette Fusions and using 2 of the $5/2 Mens Gillette shave items TQ and it beeped "One or more item missing." Anyone else have issues with this Q?

They didn't want to K1 because I "was getting too much of a discount, that's why it wont accept."

shiftingkate 11-01-2012 09:44 PM

Has anyone tried the Slim Jim 'dare' beef jerky? I was wondering how spicy it is. Even at only $1 after TQ & peelie, I don't want to waste my money if it will set my mouth on fire.

Instead of using the proper channels to acquire adresses, some companies will just use every number and many times the numbers do not exist. So if your address is winterberry, but mailers have winterbury on mail you may not receive said mailpiece.

Mine beeped last night, but easy K1 since it says 2 gillette shave items. I guess I could see where they have the problem, but it's really not rocket science here.

So this is a new thread, with new wikis? Could we delete all the inventory checkers that don't work?

And I love that people are posting dcpi numbers but how are they getting them to work?

I've tried using someone else's link and putting the dcpi in there, tried the mobile target site. I can't seem to get dcpis to work anywhere. I'm still missing something. ?? It's too far for me to drive to Target in my area without checking stock first. help please? tia.

p.s. I did a search again, got lots of posts with dcpi, still no checker that I can find. nerfed?

hifromgray 11-02-2012 06:16 AM

You can still enter DPCI in the search box on t dot com. You get the same results page as if you searched by words, but with dpci, we're sure we're talking about the same item.

You can also use the DPCI in-store -- type it into the price-check scanners -- to check stock and find out if there is more out back.

About deleting the inventory checkers - a few people have volunteered to take on the wiki maintenance (I think they have listed themselves in the wiki). Maybe PM them. I personally keep hoping the next website revision will make them live again.:)

I came here to ask same question. No luck for K1, i've been told that i have to buy whats in the picture, one razor one refill. I showed the wording, cashier read coupon like 5 times and still no go. Will try to go today and see if it works in another store. So bad, because i purchased coupons on ebay and was planning to do 5 transactions in 3 days. And now it's like impossible to do with beeps :(
When the dollar spot should be 70%off? tomorrow?

Both places BUT if you are hunting when they are 70% or better yet 90% --- your absolute best bet is if they are in the regular aisles. You want them to be in the regular aisles -- overlooked by the average shopper who thinks they are full price because they are untagged clearance. Legos might be in the front checkout area with the other small, expensive, impulse buys. ;)

I have two Targets but only one of them will open early enough on Wednesday to hunt before work so my plan is to hit one Target opening Sunday morning when hopefully everything hits 70% & discount my purchases with the 5% mailer before it expires & 5% red card.

The other Target will get sweeped on Weds morning but based on what I saw Thurs, they shouldn't have much of anything left.

You can use the DPCI to try and find the online number for the item (which is what I posted) which will work in the mobile inventory checker.

Mine was like that this morning too!! 70% towels, lights that sort of stuff & 50% off snacks. Candy is 30% off. Will try and post more info later, I have 2 toddlers running around looking for lunch.

chipilota 11-02-2012 09:44 AM

NJ Target has everything but candy at 70% off today. Did not go in for this but left with a bunch of snacks that were 70% off here like fruit snacks.

CRMommy 11-02-2012 09:54 AM

Can someone tell me if this would work please. I have been very out of the target loop for months and am not sure if there are any weird register "issues"

Buy 2 lego kits for 39.99 or higher
Get back 2 $5 gc's (this weeks ad)
use 2 $5 off $29 or higher TQ from toy book
and use a $5 of $50 or more toy purchase TQ from toy book

I guess I am most curious about using 3 TQ's. Do I need a 3rd "toy" for the coupon to attach to or will it just group them together with no issues? I haven't gotten my toy book yet :confused:but I've gotten 4 from my neighbors so far. Santa has alot of lego's to supply this year!

Thanks so much!

And I love that people are posting dcpi numbers but how are they getting them to work?

I've tried using someone else's link and putting the dcpi in there, tried the mobile target site. I can't seem to get dcpis to work anywhere. I'm still missing something. ?? It's too far for me to drive to Target in my area without checking stock first. help please? tia.

p.s. I did a search again, got lots of posts with dcpi, still no checker that I can find. nerfed?

yes, new thread, 3 extra wikis. i deliberately asked for the format to be changed so that we all can access the wikis and edit the contents b/c the OP was no longer maintaining her first post so out of date info was locked in there, esp the inventory checkers.

that said, this means that anyone can go into the wikis and edit them. so if you see outdated info, you can go in and delete it yourself.

however, we understand many people are scared of editing wikis. they are afraid they will somehow mess them up. if so, you can copy the outdated info and post it here and a wiki worker will go in and edit it, just the way the printables thread operates. in the printables thread, people post when a coupon link is dead and a wiki bee goes into the wiki and deletes it. since you know what is working and what doesn't, you will save the wiki worker so much time passing this info to them instead of them having to go and test what works and what does not.

currently we are discussing what the new format for the 4 wikis will be in the target chit chat thread if anybody has any suggestions.

we also have also been slowed down working on the wikis b/c of superstorm Sandy. i did not have power for 2+ days. my nearest target has been running on backup generator. the governor has postponed halloween till monday nov 5th b/c of dangerous conditions w/ downed trees and powerlines.

yes, wiki's are your friend, and pretty hard to mess up, beyond fixing

Yeah, I haven't seen those at my stores for awhile. Either they sold them all before Halloween or someone hid a bunch of them. Plenty of Lego Friends though!

They were by the registers for me.

A few things that have Halloween packaging but aren't ringing up on clearance:
Sunmaid Raisins (canisters-regular packaging but in Halloween section, and bags of mini boxes of yogurt-covered or regular w/scarecrows and pumpkins on them)
Cheeze-its boxes with mini bags in them (very Halloween-y packaging) ring up regular price

I forgot to go to Target yesterday. This is what happens when I go back to working away from home. My husband was shocked that I only spent $114 on my red card last month. No time for Target any more. :( I went to 2 stores today (one that I know is organized with clearance and one that would have more stuff 'hidden'). Most of the stuff I'll wait until 70 or 90% but I knew the snacks would be totally gone by then. Lucky for me I found 2 of the large boxes of Pirate's Booty at the 2nd store (the bags of 6 or 12 snack bags are regular price). The large boxes have 24 bags in them. I think they say they are for trick or treating but they look regular.

I also got customizable travel coffee mugs that you can insert a picture or drawing into at 70% off for $2.98. And the double-walled straw cups (like a reusable fountain drink) for 70% and $2.98 also. My kids are going to decorate the travel mugs for Christmas/Chanukah gifts for the grandparents.

All the blenders were gone at both stores. I should have bought them when they were 50%. I knew it had been too long and they'd be gone.

I got a few coloring books, sticker books and dot-to-dot in the electronics section for $.88-$1.18. All of these prompted for price at the register. Some cute stuff to add to stockings or to fill out the holiday pile inexpensively. Trying to limit the number of TOYS that get added to our house but coloring stuff seems better because it gets used up. Also an Nat Geo early reader level 1 about spiders (cool pictures).

My target went 70% on food ( pillsbury, pirates booty, utz pretzels, cliff bars, icing, drink mixes, baking stuff) she told me they have pallets and pallets of stuff and when to expect what to go what... I AM SO EXCITED! ... On another note- I had two boxes if pirate booty under my cart (for 2.39$!), handed her one and SAID I have TWO... She scanned one and I guess didnt scan the other ( I had a WHOLE cart of stuff I was unloading onto the belt so I wasnt paying attention)... Well LP met me at the door and we realized... I paid-- NBD.. But it still made me all nervous as I'm in there everyday with my coupons- so I already think they think I am weird and the last thing I want them to think is I am shoplifting .... Sigh...

also in the freezer aisle --- Pillsbury Halloween themed cookie dough -- was 50% off ... 1.25$ each HTH!

I noticed the same thing at my T. I wanted the yogurt (forgot the brand) that had ghosts on them, but they were regular price. I asked the red if they were going to get discounted, and he said NO.

I think the Crisco pan spray is a great deal--$1.99 TPC minus $1 TQ. Also, picked up Pepperidge Farm cookies $1.00 - $.55 MQ, Pillsbury Halloween sugar cookie mixes - TQ, Betty Crocker Brownie mixes - .75/2 MQ, and Halloween Oreos 50% off.

I know! All Halloween items are 70% off at my Target-so weird. It is all marked 70% and ringing 70%, except the dollar section, that's still 50%. Yesterday, all candy was 70% off and everything else was 50% but today it is ALL 70%. It may be that they have tons left. Aisles and aisles of candy, costumes, home decorations, outdoor lighting, craft kits. I felt like a kid in a candy store.

I found the Halloween Barbies, full size for 3.xx and the mini ones for 1.xx. The Lalaloopsy Halloween mini dolls were 1.xx too. Also the Lego ghost mini packs were 1.xx but the Lego Girl mini packs for Halloween are ringing full price.

Good catch. This is what happens when I do it after midnight. :D It's all fixed now.

I want to help with the wikis but right now I am so busy that I haven't had time to check the chit chat thread. But I will do in the near future (if it's not too late).

What do the Pyrex containers look like? Where are they located? Are you guys finding the Dixie / Diamond cutlery in the regular aisles? Seems like my two stores have their setup a little differently ....

I wonder if the $1/1 Pyrex MQ from 08/26 SS would work on the containers?

Don't worry it's was not your fault I think you did it right even sometimes I have forgotten to pick up the stuff from the lower part of cart even after paying while unloading in my car so no big deal and also since the cashier has scanned one it was her fault for not scanning the other one I would consider it stealing if none of them were scanned by her so no big deal I know some tv shows have made coupon use as fraud or hoarders and shoppers like us suffers :(
By the way anyone in Denver did the clearance went to 70% I wish I could go but the little one is sick so planning to go tomorrow hope I could still find some snacks

Heads up to check your pantries for Mini Wheats.

Kellogg's has issued a voluntary recall on select packages of frosted mini wheats bite size and mini wheats unfrosted bite size.
