for ipad 2. seems perfect for anyone with smart cover but not smart case. would also work fine just as a case without the smart cover. i dont know if it will fit any other gen ipad, if u know please post.

I prefer the cases made from TPU. They are a nice mix of the super soft silicon and hard plastic (like this). It gives a little more feel to it. Good find and price though.

I bought one of these with for my Ipad3 serveral months ago and it works fines. I use it to protect the case if I ever drop my Ipad. I also own this case for my Ipad 2 and it worked for that one as well.

iPad 2 is 8.6mm thick, iPad 3 and 4 are 9.4mm thick.
So their concern regarding whether an iPad 2 case will fit an iPad 3 is valid. ;)

The thickness comes in the touch screen mostly. The back aluminum part is the same thickness.
If this thing does wrap around to the screen, it should work just fine.

For those wondering (as I was), the depth difference between ipad 2 and higher is 0.6mm. That is not even 1 mm. I think I can live with that or maybe not. :D
