Yea the pictures show this is the small one. So i'm thinking a typo.

The dimensions on Sam's Club match the Amazon dimensions for the Big

I bought a Big JAMBOX used on Craigslist for $160. It sounds awesome for a small speaker (far better than either the Bose Soundlink or the Altec Lansing inMotion Air). Not as portable as the regular JAMBOX or the Monster Clarity HD, but those really tiny speakers lack ambience and simply don't compare.

If this price is legit, get one.

Anyone jumping on this?

These things are actively being bid up to ~$260 on eBay every day. I'm surprised this isn't getting more love. Maybe adding something like "wireless bluetooth speaker" to the title of this thread would help.

I'd be on this if I had a need for it but I don't. Plus I was let down by my small jam box after the live audio update it was never the same... I returned it

You can sign up for a Sam's Club membership (if you haven't already done so) while checking out to waive the 10% fee... and later cancel the membership and receive a full refund if you'd like!

From the Sam's Club membership details page:

Costco has been selling the regular Jambox for the same price, so I'm sure this is the regular size.

If anyone can pick it up successfully then please let us know. I don't have a sams membership though, but this would be worth getting for the membership!

Called my local Sam's club, the lady said it doesn't say Big Jamebox, just Jambox. So I am assuming this is the small Jambox.

I was at Sams today and I saw these, they were at a table as soon as you walk in. I'm 90% sure they were the smaller Jambox.

I don't think Sams even sells the BIG one right now, so how could they even give it to you

lol..................true, true -- it definitely does. However, the specs say 10 hours of battery time, which matches the small Jambox. The bigger issue is, I believe, the fact that they don't even carry the big one -- so they have no way to honor it and give you the big one. Looks like it'll only be a refund....no chance of a big one.

The called Samsclub to check stock availability - and were told that this is not the Big Jambox

I just got it PM at Best Buy!! All I had to do was show them the price at Sam's Club on my phone and my Sam's Club card and got it....no hassle at all! Thanks, saved 130.00!

Just tried to price match on bestbuy.com and was told SAMs club was not on their list of price match retailers. Maybe going to the store is the way to go.

Best buy does not pm clubs. Show us the receipt.

FYI even if this is a 'TYPO' WALMART/SAMS honors when they have it marked wrong its their mistake if the dimensions match the big one.

Bought 2 at best buy. They priced matched it with no manager approval needed. Ill post tbe receipt when i get home.

look at the top of the big jambox compared to the small one. The picture on samsclub displays the regular jambox. not that great of a deal, but the normal jambox has some awesome sound, for sure.

No approval needed on the price change. It definitely helps that 1. They were about to close. 2. Most employees at my BB know me. 3. I appear extremely confident and rarely ask for risky PMs such as this that may or may not be within policy(the information on the Sam's Club page is for the Big Jambox but other info supports that it isn't= risky).

not sure how this sounds - but I tried the SuperTooth disco after buying the SoundFreaq SFQ-04 and even though the SuperTooth was a much nicer build - the SFQ-04 blew it away in sound quality.. Would be curious to hear from someone who's tried both this and the SoundFreaq...

Same here. I had the Description pulled up on the mobile site that said BIG Jambox and after she looked at it she said," Now, show me where it says the price." I clicked over to the main page on the mobile site and after seeing the price, she PMed it right away. I would have gotten 2 but they only had one in stock. I have been wanting one of these for a while. I am hoping to get a few more for gifting and/or selling at this price.

Off topic: Has anyone seen any good deals on a decent 5.1 channel bluray surround sound system with wireless speakers? Everytime I try to get a clearence one at BB they are out in store and for OMS order.

Just came back from Target! They price matched! So I also got my 5% redcard off also. Took awhile they really tried to think it was the smal one because the pic showed only 3 buttons on top. I showed them the description and everything they finally gave in! The model numbers do not match the big or the small one but the description said BIG and the small one is called just Jambox!

Their policy clearly states that they don't match warehouse clubs, so I agree, they are either in a test market that is matching those stores, or they got lucky.

Again, at this price it's well worth it.

Thanks OP. Got one from Bestbuy. I was nervous whole time.. manager took my phone and checked thoroughly :-) and approved price match. I did use my reward zone account.. Now I am worried that BB would chase me down to get the product back.

My BB is across the street from Sam's but when the BB cashier was choosing the store that she needed to price match from, she scrolled down her screen to "warehouse clubs".
Sam's was not specifically listed.

They didn't ask, but the two nearest to my Best Buy store are 58 and 61 miles away

I found the BIG JAMBOX in the store (I got the last one), brought it to the register, and politely asked if they could price match it with Sams Club. The cashier immediately said, "Sure, no problem", and I handed her a couple printouts (showing the price and description).

PM success @ Target! Had to go to Guest Services for PM. Had print outs of the Sams Club page but had it pulled up on my phone as well. They wanted to see the price on the phone. Easy Peasy.

I think it's funny when people get nervous while doing PMs and cashing in on price mistakes.

What's the worse that could happen? They say no, and you turn around and leave. You're not stealing, even if it might feel like it when you're getting such a huge discount. :lol: Better yet, you may be able to learn to the art of sweet-talking and be able to convince them to hook you up! Consider it live lesson in persuasion and thinking on your toes.

Shot down at 3 different Targets. Denied Sams as a viable price match. Tried BB receipt match but they checked online and showed full price. Win some, lose some.

Tried to price match at a BB they said that they couldn't unless the item was instock... they offered me a 10% discount (which i denied).

I was able to price match at Best Buy with no issues at all!

Went to one Best Buy, and they refused. Then I went to another one, and it was so easy.

All I had to do was show them the Sam's Club page on my phone, and he took it.

went to BB, got item; shows salesman ad, said he had to verify, waited 20 minutes and got verification it was in stock. went to register, couldn't find sam's club, asks another saleperson, he say yes we match them. he asks me for the ad again, studies ad and says it the small one;look at the picture. he already had the security tag off.
I said thank you and left. Maybe he saw me doing the Happy Dance :-)

yes it is!! it was tough to PM this as Sam's Club isn't selling this unit for $169.00 The description is for the BIG unit but that isn't what you're getting for 169.00 You're getting the small one.
the model number is for the small one. If BB or Target check the model #, you finished , if they look st the picture your finished, it shows the small unit (top buttons)
Those who got a PM were lucky as you could niot get this unit for that price even at Sams.

I commend those who got in on the deal, but I think they are far & few. That being said, Anyone of you lucky few that got more then one, PM me if you want to sell one for ~200. plus s&h

Worked for me at the second BB on the way home today!

First BB (Alderwood, WA): Grabbed a red Big Jambox and headed for the checkout. Asked whether BB price matches Sams Club and got a resounding "yes!" Ok, off to a good start. Started out by showing the page with the price of $168.99, and then tapped over to the info tab on their mobile site to reveal, in the first sentence, that the product in their catalog is a Big Jambox. The nit ended up being that the Jambox I was requesting was red, instead of black at the link, and that a manager needed to review. Long story short (too late?), the manager told me that I would need to purchase a black Jambox and show a Sams Club card, and unfortunately Black was out of stock and I'm not a Sams Club member. Walked out with nothing, but fortunately the entire ordeal took less than 10 minutes.

Second BB (Northgate/Seattle, WA): Headed straight over and grabbed another red Big Jambox and made a bee line for the checkout. This time, nothing but success: same method of showing the price and then tapping over to the info tab. The cashier tried to find the model number on the box to match it to the website, but wasn't able to find anything besides the serial number and just put the PM through. Noteworthy is that he wasn't able to find Sams Club in their competitor PM list, but instead selected Walmart, and I was never asked to present a club card. The cashier did note that normally the products would need to be the same color, but since they were the same price he would put the PM through. Hooray!

For what it's worth, after rocking out on this thing for half of a day using 3 or 4 different BT devices I can report that this baby was probably worth the $300 asking price. Very, very slick and heavily YMMV deal, though the success rate seems pretty high. I'm sort-of a minimalist and really hate big and intrusive things, especially in my electronic devices. Probably one of my better purchases of 2012.
