anyone know if i were to buy from BB before the 18th since BB has 3x rewards, will the price adjustment cancel the 3x reward? thx

With the coming of Microsoft Surface, I have little use of the Ipad. I am waiting for a good deal on the Surface so I can replace my laptop and get a all-in-one device (tablet+laptop).

Have you tried Surface, I thought it was little slow and lagged a little. I went to the MS store and the guy there took a few mintues just to show me how to click a simple picture with it.

Does anyone know if Surface comes with Windows 8 version? How much? or is it only running Win RT?

Yeah it'll come out like early next year with normal windows 8. It should cost a lot more than the rt one though

Surface Pro vs Surface RT
http://reviews.cnet.com/microsoft-surface-pro/

and for the leak price
http://www.redmondpie.com/surface...not-cheap/

yep.... it is priced for a laptop instead of tablet. But it does function like a laptop to run all the windows application rather than just RT apps

Wow, that looks awesome. First time I'm hearing of the Pro version. You think the pricing is accurate or will it be lower in the US than in Germany? 970 is pretty damn steep! Also, does it come with that keyboard attachment or is that going to be another 50-75 bucks?

anyone has comment on virgin mobile? or any better deal for iphone 4s? thanks

gh188 11-12-2012 07:09 PM

$700 for a 64GB tablet, or $900 for a 64GB laptop + tablet.

The Surface Pro wins if you want to do anything other than browse the web and play casual games.

I wish they would just refer to the New iPad as Ipad 4...make it so much easier.

So the one pictured in the ad is the 3rd Gen or 4th Gen iPad? If its the most recent one and it can be purchased online with the GC, then I may be interested.

JoeSmith2010 11-12-2012 07:57 PM

I would like to know the source as well. The leaked Best Buy BF ad had a whole page of Apple products with the iPad 2 and iPad with Retina pitcured saying $40 - $60 off. But now the BF ad on the Best Buy site is differnt and the Apple page is gone.

bolland99 11-12-2012 10:55 PM

So this is 15% off the IPad? Doesn't seem like a great discount to me. I mean better than greedy Apple usually allows but not a slick deal by any means.

Robrain 11-12-2012 11:28 PM

15% off of a company's products that aren't usually discounted ever is a great deal.

X2_Tweaker 11-12-2012 11:29 PM

The one at Best Buy is a 4th gen. 3rd gen's are discontinued btw.

Where do you see it? I cant find it on their ad.
blackfriday.bestbuy.com

X2_Tweaker 11-13-2012 07:39 AM

bfads.net and then view the bestbuy ad. In the add it states "Save $40-60 on ipads" and it shows an ipad 2 @ 399 before savings and the new ipad @ 499 before savings. Respectively speaking that would be 360 for ipad 2 and 440 for new ipad

MrPractical 11-13-2012 07:46 AM

Question guys.

Don't discover cards get 5% cash back on all online purchases?
Also, right now can't you get $100 cash back if you spend $500 in the first 3 months?
So, if I get a discover card and shop online at target.com will I get the gift card, the 5% cash back, and the $100 cash back (assuming I get a 64GB ipad 4) or at bestbuy.com at the $439.99 price (+200 for 64gb) and the 5% and $100 from discover?

Yeah, I see that on bfads.net, but the BF ad on bestbuy.com no longer has the Apple page that bfads.net has. I hope BB does have them on BF with this deal as I have gift cards to use, but the BB site does not show it anymore in their BF ad.

I think BB excludes those days as well. Someone can chime in if I'm wrong..

The Guarantee does not apply to: Our competitors' website prices, offers that include financing, bundling of items, free items, pricing errors, mail-in offers, competitors' service prices, items that are advertised as limited-quantity, out of stock, open-box, clearance, refurbished/used items, Deal of the Day items, BestBuy.com Midnight Sale and special hour sale events, BestBuy.com Clearance & More and Marketplace items, and items for sale Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving.

And I think that if you return the iPad for rebuying purposes, they will only refund $460 and you have to keep the $40 Target Gift Card.

I wish Target would just exercise good customer service and give the early buyers the $20 GC. It seems to me that it will be pain in the butt for Target to process all those potential returns just so that they don't have to give the $20 GC to customers. Once a high ticket item like an iPad is returned, there's a possibility that the customer would buy it elsewhere, thereby losing an already guaranteed sale. But I guess that can be said for any high ticket item. Apple will have a ton of refurbished iPad4s for sale soon.

joe318 11-16-2012 05:53 PM

So no confirmation on BF sale for iPad 4 at BB?

Edit: Oh wait, I see it on their official ad at https://blackfriday.bestbuy.com/#!/apple. Too bad the prices aren't concrete, so I'm still undecided between Target and BB.

If you have a Safeway (or one of their company stores), right now they have a deal, spend $150 on select gift cards (Amazon included), get a coupon for $25 off a $50 purchase. You'd have to buy the $450 of gift cards in three separate transactions, but then you'd have $75 off $150 to spend at SW (doing it in three transactions of $50 each).

Not saying it's a better deal than Target, just saying it is another option.

aroundtheriver 11-19-2012 12:12 PM

If you have a Discover More card, you could get 5% cashback for Best Buy, 5% extra cashback for online purchases, 2% bonus cashback for Black Friday and $5 in Reward certs for every $250 you spend.. Unfortunately I have the Road card so I don't get the 5% cashback for online purchases, but still. That's a total savings of... $60 off (plan on getting the 32 GB one), $64.80 (or $37.80) additional cashback with Discover, and $10 in rewardzone certificates if you spend $500 total (32 or 64) for a total max savings of.... $134.80.. Not bad, not bad at all...

In my experience, the GC ships separately. Every time I have done the online deals with a GC attached, the GC comes first in an envelope.. and the package a few days later.

Am I wrong here, or is this NOT a $60 gift card?
...It looks to me like it's priced at $559, ...less $60 'gift card', ...brings it to $499.
(I initially thought this was a $499 price, ...PLUS a $60 giftcard.

Did I miss something?

I guess it's late.... ...I checked the wording, and even though the -$60 shows up in the cart, ...they apparently ARE sending a $60 gift card with the Ipad.

Thanks OP I have been wanting one of these. I used the Shop discover for additional 5% off. Saw the Best Buy one too late at $439 with no tax on the $60 or would have done that one but $60 at Target will be easity used.

ErikaW1971 11-22-2012 08:10 AM

New to posting, but just wanted to let people know that I used my RedCard just now, got a white iPad 2 (black unavailable online) for $399 plus $60 gift card. It is not only retina display iPads. The BF paper ad said "any iPad" and I think they are adhering to that. It looks weird in the cart, but once you check out, it ended up being $399.99 EXACTLY, with free shipping and other weird discounts (my 5% red card probably had something to do with it also). Very strange how it was calculated on check-out, but the total was correct and I get the $60 gift card shipped to me as well.

RosemaryNJ 11-30-2012 01:20 PM

Did anyone get the giftcard from Target? I ordered on Black Friday - received the Ipad 4th generation but no gift card so far.
