Heads up - I got this a few weeks ago at the same price - but they did something different to the product. It definitely is not the same as it used to be and you have to change these rolls so frequently. :(

roark1138 11-13-2012 08:39 PM

Thanks, I'll watch for it. Did you get a bad batch of some kind perhaps?

This is the only stuff "allowed" in our house, so we'll see if anyone notices a change.

I feel slighted, as long as I've had my user id here, no one has ever said anything even close to that nice to me. ;)

Win2012 11-13-2012 10:40 PM

nice.

Us also, it's not as soft as before, they have cheapened it!

drymarro 11-13-2012 11:04 PM

Who pays for toilet paper in the fall?
Just stockpile the leaves in your backyard and wipe away...don't let them take your hard-earned $23 from you!

kawasakiklx 11-13-2012 11:13 PM

ah hell, why not?

shiroikaze 11-13-2012 11:17 PM

First time nabbing toilet paper from Amazon, thanks.

mauiwowie 11-13-2012 11:52 PM

Well perhaps it was because the Romney campaign SuperPAC contributions were expensive for the Koch Brothers and they had to increase the margins on all of their products which includes this brand.

Quoting so everyone can see this moron's political trash after it's removed by the mods.

To stay on topic, these ultra-plush rolls run out too soon. It's very soft, but I usually just buy the soft&strong (blue packaging) because it lasts longer and is still very high quality.

Yeah, the joke's on them because by 2016 we won't need their toilet paper at all. Forward! [pbs.org]

On topic, my family has bought this from Costco (I don't remember a price) and it is a good product. I hope the variations were a batch issue and not a new standard. Thanks, OP.

jeremythecamel 11-14-2012 05:41 AM

Just got it for $20.35!

miso_ohio 11-14-2012 05:42 AM

True Slick Dealers will just keep a washable towel and hand sanitizer next to the toilet.....

almightys 11-14-2012 05:57 AM

There is a quill deal if you want to stock up on these that brings price down to $039 per roll but you are going to have 150 rolls

yada,yada,yada 11-14-2012 06:06 AM

I'm not thread crapping because a dollar saved is a dollar earned but I just looked this product up on the wally world website and their price is $24 for the same quantity. I guess that would be $25 and change with tax depending on your location. And it would be delivered to your door. Reps to the OP for a good deal.

Same here, that's 42 cents per double roll or 21 cents per single roll.

I'll stock up....tell me how?

AJay17 11-14-2012 07:09 AM

Add more to my collection. Thanks!

kryztalz 11-14-2012 07:34 AM

Got this deal last time... this is comparable to the cheap angel soft rolls. If you're used to the Charmin Ultra Strong/Soft you are not going to like this one!

oxyi 11-14-2012 07:45 AM

Costco is cheaper ?

Koch Brother can just simply just transfer that money away from the SuperPAC to their offshore acct and no one would what happened to the money.

A month ago, I bought the Soft&Strong. Definitely seemed like a different product. It had the quality of an off brand product.

Exactly. Noticed that too. They also have shrunk the width a tiny bit. They are constantly falling out of my holder so now I need to get a new holder.

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but this is a deals forum. Bring your political opinions into The Lounge or The Podium. Or, just keep them to yourself. UGH!

dont tell me that true slickdealer will not wash the towel to save laundry costs ?:D

jpeatty 11-14-2012 10:12 AM

Our strategy has always been to make enemies of as many neighborhood kids as possible during the Halloween season. The little punks will buy TP for you and deliver to your front yard. Just collect all the TP from the trees and roof of your house and bag it up. Free toilet paper!

dcmetro 11-14-2012 12:54 PM

Is this price better than @ Costco? Just curious.

Weird, one of the comments on this deal at Amazon said that Costco's are thinker and wider?

dravid 11-14-2012 06:40 PM

The MSTRCRD1 code does not work for me. Why???? I am using mastercard for payment.

ps9 11-14-2012 08:24 PM

Huh, just noticed if you cancel your S&S subscription right away, it also cancels the initial order.. this is different then before?

Exactly !!! i just bought it 2 weeks back in the same offer....i ain't buying again this

sd59 11-14-2012 10:46 PM

yeah and lucky me, I bought TWO of this offer, so 96 of these rolls. It seriously used to be the best TP out there. now it's just like any other :(

smartbuy 11-16-2012 03:33 AM

clog magnet

These are good for arse :) but not good for drain. We had a clogged toilet and had to call a plumber and he said charmin and all these double roll stuff clog the toilet.

Same. Anyone else get it to work?

SDRockz 11-16-2012 11:02 AM

FWIW - Costco also made some changes to their toilet paper, not as soft as it used to be.
