*** UPDATED list as of 11/21/12. Please add to WIKI if you find more. Some YMMV as not all Costco locations carry all movies ... ***

Below a summary of deals which turned up so far at B&M locations. As always with Costco, not all locations might carry all items, so some YMMV involved. Amazon prices for comparison, and yes, they change frequently, but the pattern is that the Costco deals are pretty good even tough sometimes Amazon is better. Very nice post. A few of the SD vets should be ashamed of themselves for being shown up by a rookie.

Superocean 11-16-2012 12:44 AM

Damn I haven't stopped by the center aisle with clothing and dvds at costco in so long. They also have those 24 hour fitness memberships and local restaurant deals too.

mhurne 11-16-2012 04:46 AM

I was at my local Costco this week and can confirm the John Adams price. Great series! Thumbs up and repped.

Is there a discount on Planet Pluto?

Mcdrew88 11-16-2012 06:47 AM

Great prices, I'm almost finished watching Rome on HBO Go, but the show is so good I might pick up the BDs. But probably not. Unlike Game of Thrones, I don't know if I'll watch these over and over.

You missed the clearance fire sale when Pluto was downgraded from planet status.

No, but “Death” is... You can find it at the end of the aisle. Just that it’s a tad more expensive!

I don't understand why you are talking about "credit" so much in this post. When can i trade in reputation points for cash from slickdeals? I wish I could get so excited about imaginary rewards.

I simply thought it's fair to point out that they posted something earlier. After all they spent time on writing something up too! I don't even know what benefit reputation point have. For me it's more a question of acknowledging other peoples efforts.

BJ's has Planet Earth and Human Planet for $15.99 for those without a COSTCO membership. BJs membership: Just walk in and say you want a trial. I don't know why I pay for a membership...they give them away to anyone.

Dangit, the Montebello and Alhambra locations don't carry John Adams and the Matrix Collection :(.

I'll just get John Adams from Amazon then.

Just checked and it looks like Amazon has dropped the price on John Adams to 18.99. Works out to be cheaper than Costco to me when I factor in tax and drive time/cost since I have Prime too.

solara689 11-19-2012 03:51 PM

pick up Rome season 1 & 2 at Amazon for $ 17 each & w/ $ 5 off Facebook :D total $ 31.xx http://slickdeals.net/f/5533182-Amazon-5-off-25-Promotional-Credit-Facebook-Required

Bump as I updated first post with some movies I saw today, e.g. Sound of Music, Lawrence of Arabia, Tarrantino, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park. Even though some titles might be cheaper at some places and not titles are at all warehouses, i believe this are still good deals for Costco Members and not only valid one day or a couple of hours.

freedeal78 11-22-2012 04:40 AM

Is the Planet Earth the 2007 1080p25 version or the newer 1080i60 version with bonus footage?

It's the 2007 1080p24 4 disc version not the 2011 6 disc Special Edition

sykdeals 12-03-2012 12:15 AM

I stopped by Costco today. They still had most of these at the listed prices.

The had The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy Extended Edition (Bluray, 15 disc) for $45.90 but YMMV
