Yeah it's kind of strange .. you may see an option to put in your zip code, then select store .. but it won't let you change to ship to store until later in the checkout process.

It's weird. I added it to cart, went to checkout, put in my info and selected ship to store (put in zip code) and hit apply. But it is still charging me the shipping and there is no way for me to put the DOT on the store option.

i had trouble too. first enter your zipcode and choose your store - then click continue to checkout (not checkout with paypal yet, if thats what you wanna do) - you should get the option on the next screen or so, to individually choose where each item goes - ship to store or ship to you. You can check out with paypal on the final screen

It wouldn't let me ship to store if I either used Paypal or didn't have an account with them...
I ended up making an account, placing the 3 in cart, then checking out like normal till it gave me the options to individually ship all 3 to the nearest store. After I submitted, THEN it let me pay with Paypal.

It's not much consolation but for backups I actually find slower better because if it's only running at 3.68MB/sec then the backup doesn't tax your hard drive and crowd out the other things trying to access. If you have some usb drive running at 144MB it's going to block out everything else until its done. But this is mainly because I haven't found a good file copy program that allows you to throttle the speed of the copy?

I did that, but for some reason when I logged into my paypal it switched it back to ship to home. No big deal, like I said, I got it to work with regular cc info, just figured I would share in case somebody else had the same issue.

just placed order... the ship to store was not working good so decided to proceed and then gave option of the store and gave free shipping (weird way but it seems to have worked) $25.17 w/tax.

I ordered 6 on one order before the OP was posted. It originally listed the first 3 as 7.99 instead of 9.99, so my original order total was $58.12.

I just received the shipping confirmation and they adjusted the discount off, and charged me $64.58.

So everyone getting the shipping confirmations might want to check what price they charged you. I'm still happy at this price, but others may not be.

After your post, I just logged in to check and I'm seeing the same thing. Weird. The shipping confirmation email I got says they shipped all 6 and my paypal was charged $64.58, which I verified in Paypal. When I click "Track My Order" in the email, which takes me to the Radio Shack site, it says 3 are cancelled and 3 shipped.

I guess we'll find out how many shipped once they get here. If they charged all 6, they better have shipped all 6.

I paid through paypal. Paypal shows $64.58 charged today, but my credit card shows the original $58.12 as pending from Friday. So it looks like Radio Shack put the $58.12 in originally, but today is trying to put it through as $64.58.

i think you can ignore the email that shows they charged $6 more. because i used a $50 gift card, and it says the gift card was charged $56.50

I called in CSR and they had to manually refund me the difference through my cc since I paid through paypal. They had to send it off to a different department and it will take several days to go through.

They will credit me the difference down to 29.97 + tax.

They need to make this right. I've never heard of a retailer taking your order, and then adjusting the price and quantity after the fact. Cart systems are designed to be conservative, not liberal, when it comes to low stock items.

Thing is, the item has now been removed from the website, which is common practice for something they will not restock. Funny how the 16GB and 64GB versions are still there, though.

Yep they pulled my 3 at $8 completely, but I did have 3 more at $10 that are coming... and at least I got free shipping out of it (needed $50, they didn't pull it when the cancels took it under).

Just received my shipment. Received all 6 usb drives! The packing slip says $58.12 even though paypal says they charged $64.58. I'm not going to bother disputing the $6.

I ordered 3 pretty early (I guess, don't remember how soon), and my charge amount hasn't changed. I checked my tracking and it indicated that it's already there at the store, but I didn't receive an email notice or anything. I figured they'd give me instructions on how to pick up (i.e. do I need to print an invoice?). I guess we'll see.

I am a little concerned about the ship-to-store order. The order and shipping confirmations say nothing about pick-up or ship-to-store... It just shows the radioshack address as my delivery address.

I did, 1st it was the associate he was on the phone chatting away. Then he finally asked for the manager to come out who knows what he was doing in the room toke him long enough :vomit:. He wasnt helpful at all either seems like they are all in on the scheme.:eek:
