i'm debating between this or the Sams club $399 HP Sleekbook.

looks ugly to me. If you dont care ab the design, it's pretty good price for i5 3rd

Good-to-great deal. If it were $400 without rebate, it'd be excellent. 14" with a 3rd-gen i5 processor isn't that common, even at $450.

The closest I could find is this one which is basically the same laptop with i3 instead of i5. Only 3 reviews but the are good.

There's never a keypad on a 14" laptop.

The webcam is 0.3mp. C'mon mfg's - what are we talking here, a $5 part to toss in a 1.3mp?

Makes you wonder if the HP build quality is that crappy or if the Samsung is that bulky or possibly both? :D :confused:

I would think the higher battery cell and existence of optical drive should explain most of Samsung's bulk and weight.

Is this laptop reliable?

Been watching this one all week at $459 after rebate. Bought at this price!

The Core i5 in the SleekBook is 3317U - Ultra version, - lower performance and power consumption.
compared to 3510M is Samsung

One additional difference - for those who care about design and looks.
the sleekbook - Width - 0.81" to 0.83" ( Sub 1") compared to the
Samsung - Width - 1.14" - 1.37"
Does not seem like much unless you would see them side by side.
