Hey OP, I know you are very busy posting deals, etc. but I was curious if the price you are quoting above is a super slick price?

In other words, what is the 'average sale price' of pistachios and how does this price compare to that price? I ask because I am debating about heading out to my 24 hour Walgreens to snag a few lbs. of these for my pistachio loving wife. :-)

PS - Do you remember a long time ago when pistachios were dyed red? Or am I just imagining that? TIA!

yes, $3.98 per lb is a VERY Slick price right now for Pistachios. Typically, the best we've seen in the last 6 months is $4.99 per lb. again these are 10oz bags for $2.49 which equates to about $3.99 per lb.

And yes, remember red pistachios VERY WELL, and the red dye would get all over your fingers. Never understood why they had to dye them red...now you rarely see them.

Pistachio's for less than $6.00/lb is a good price. there is a better deal on CVS.com with CVS brand California pistachios 18oz bag for about $3.10. Use code blackfriday at checkout or search slickdeals for CVS and you'll see the deal

As for the red color, up until 5-10 years ago most pistachios were imported and had blemishes on the shells, and although harmless they were dyed red to hide them. Since now almost all pistachios are grown in US and shells are for what ever reason not as blemished the practice stopped.

Seems to be problem with the code that prints out. If you have already used a credit card before at redbox, it says it is only for first time customers. Is anyone successful in using the code with a pre-used credit card?
