great deal, TU, got the AD700 for more than this a couple years back and I still love em. I want to upgrade, but I don't neeeeeed to.

any comments on these for tracking, mixing, and mastering?...reviews say they have little to no bass response without a decent amp or eq...great price but not flat enough all around for my needs it seems

Good luck and congratulations for those that get theirs shipped! With a decent AMP, I would say these would do 95% of the sound spectrum, and after this point is where you start that journey of spending crazy money to get that last 5%.

Personally love the Audio Technica signature.
