Audio Technica AD-900 $79.99 @ EBAY via buydig

Audio Technica AD-900 $79.99
Really good deal on some nice open ear headphones. $79.99, which is the cheapest I've ever seen them.

Wow this is back again which means it must not be a price error. I missed it the first time. This is an amazing price. Thanks!

GsxrSD 11-23-2012 02:03 AM

I was thinking the same thing. I was bummed I missed out as I ordered a different pair of headphones and then found these doing some research. Guess it does pay to stay up late!

dekrob 11-23-2012 02:04 AM

No one ever apparently answers that question. All I've read is that the construction is better and that they sound a bit better. Don't know if they are better for gaming though.

GsxrSD 11-23-2012 02:22 AM

I felt kinda special I got the first set on ebay. There wasn't many buys when I got my pair (had to double check to make sure they REALLY were the right ones) but about 3 minutes after I posted this thread the headphones started going QUICK!

Welcome to all who scored a pair. I've been following eBay close for other sales that have been hot on here, will update if there is another sale (and I see it).

Happy holidays all!

cervantez015 11-23-2012 02:22 AM

crap. it ended before i could check out

From what I read they are:

Quote:

Basically, the AD900 takes the AD700 and gets everything right. Deeper bass, fuller sound, better detail and clarity while remaining non fatiguing and keeping that same second-to-none comfort. Pretty much an upgrade across the board. The 'musicality' of those headphones is one of its best features imo.

dcpoor 11-23-2012 02:26 AM

went crazy fast, lol at the guy/flipper that bought 30 or 40 pairs in increments of 10.

GsxrSD 11-23-2012 02:27 AM

Thanks at4k. I've benefited from here before I was a member so what better way then to pay it back? Hopefully there is another deal, everyone deserves a great pair of headphones at a EXCELLENT price.

Now I can go to bed knowing if I don't get anything else BF, I will be 110% satisfied.

People seem to like the soundstage that they have so I assume they'd be decent for gaming.

Same. I'd hope that the greedy few would get their orders canceled. I'd still also hope that this deal pops up one more time. I've been wanting to get this for someone for a few months now, but I couldn't due to the pricing. ATH-AD700's almost as good, but the colors are awful, despite having a nice price. ATH-AD900's colors are great, with better sound quality to boot, but I can't seem to justify a $200 purchase on a pair of gift headphones...

I've already got myself good headphones, the Beyerdynamic DT880 (600 Ohm), and I really wanted to get ONE of these, not for myself, but as a gift to someone else. I'd probably also bundle the gift with the Fiio E10 deal from Adorama, so they can listen to their music with great quality.

But honestly, the greed to buy 20 or 30 (maybe even more) pairs of headphones is appalling. To think people would sink so low for a deal. It's no better than the morons who push each other on a Black Friday opening at a B&M store.

All orders getting canceled, we get reimbursed with a "free shipping coupon" for our next purchase. Somehow they listed this 3 separate times with a "typo" in price.

I bet buydig did this on purpose to draw attention from buyers. I mean price mistake at 3 different times, COME ON MAN!

I just want this but without the chance to get it, will some one who get two want to share it if you receive them?

srichter 11-23-2012 12:46 PM

Ordered from eBay. Got the cancellation email but the auction and my PayPal payment are still active. Check your spam box; that's where the emails were (I wonder why......)

srichter 11-23-2012 01:10 PM

From their pricing policy on their website

Quote:

If an order is refused due to a pricing error after it was shipped, we may issue a charge to reconcile the difference.
Well that's not illegal...

GsxrSD 11-23-2012 01:27 PM

I ordered through eBay. I haven't gotten any of the e-mails y'all are talking about (shipping or refund). Anyone else in my boat? There's no tracking, refund or e-mails besides the one when I bought the item.

This will be real disappointing if they refund after showing this price three different times.

Not seeing anything? Anyone else in the same boat as me or did everyone get a cancel e-mail?

srichter 11-23-2012 02:36 PM

My cancellation email had an order number in it. Used that to create an account on their website and my order shows as cancelled. Still shows active on eBay and PayPal though.

You can't leave negative feedback for them until after 7 days. I have the feeling in a week their eBay feedback score will take a nosedive.

MagicalSauce 11-23-2012 03:22 PM

THEY CANCELED MY ORDER AS WELL. I am furious!

akbisw 11-23-2012 06:01 PM

Yep their feedback will be nonexistent

SOSTrooper 11-24-2012 12:15 PM

I will wait to see what happens on Monday. If they end up cancelling all of the eBay orders I will keep pressing eBay until their account is closed. No normal eBay seller would get away with cancelling 400 orders.

bellabunz 11-24-2012 05:35 PM

dude you aren't going to do crap to their ebay account. I guarantee it.

For those of you that purchased from eBay, Buydig's reference to any terms and conditions listed outside eBay (ie their website pricing policy) is completely irrelevant. You made a purchase from a buyer named Buydig on eBay - and just like any other transaction on eBay, the sale is governed by eBay's terms and conditions. The condition that applies is that the Seller must deliver the product sold unless they a) did not receive payment or b) cannot reach the buyer. If every seller referenced an outside term and condition not listed in their eBay listing they could get out of any sale for any reason - eBay would cease to function as an efficient & fair marketplace.

I urge you to speak up about Buydig's unscrupulous tactics (referencing unagreed T&C and emailing outside the governing marketplace). Furthermore, I brought this issue to their attention and they replied that the item is out of stock which is also a blatant lie. These guys have no shame.

The1andonly 11-25-2012 05:38 PM

Came in and out of stock several times, apparently even on their own website. It wasn't even the most shocking of black friday deals, in fact it was somewhat blown out of proportion. Using ebay in the past, several times I've been scared to death to cancel orders. One time I was selling my receiver, put the price as the units and hundreds were sold for a dollar. My feedback was torn apart, ebay did nothing to help. Ever since then there has been several occasions that my auction didn't go high and I would have loved to cancel but I've gone through with it. This was just one of the 2009 Dell deals that deserves negative feedback. It was clearly not a mistake. Look, there throwing out other deals right now.

I have documented the entire process and will file in my local small claims court if buydig doesn't follow through with their obligations. It is obviously not a price error because there were 2 separate auctions listed hours apart, as well as the low price on their website. Nobody makes a typo 3 times.

MagicalSauce 11-26-2012 06:09 PM

Anyone get them to honor their price yet?

I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. This was in no way a ploy to waste your time. In fact, this has caused a bad trail of negativity, which is the antithesis of what we strive for here. We hope most customers will understand and empathize with this error. We are an honest company and loyal to all our customers and we expect the same in return. We care about each customer and would never do anything to cause discomfort to any of them.
Not good enough. If they claim to be honest and loyal, why not hold up their end of the deal and eat the losses?

Open a BBB complaint: http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/bus...j-10000396

The more this deceptive move hurts them the less they'll be inclined to do it in the future.

A lot of companies will offer a coupon or store credit when they make a price mistake. To me, this is like store credit, but even better. Honestly though, I really just want the headphones. Heh.
