So all TV's between 26 and 46 will work with the mount right? I know its a really stupid question, but I know absolutely nothing about mounts

microkelvin 11-23-2012 10:58 PM

Coming from an installer.. this is Not the greatest mount.. however for 8.00 I can do some cheap installs with them

cimorene 11-24-2012 01:25 AM

how complicated is this install? do you need to make sure you find studs?

canknee 11-24-2012 01:35 AM

i wonder how durable these are

madmax_attack 11-24-2012 02:09 AM

ty so much..... was looking for some.... in for 2.

I purchased a slimline mount in anticipation of getting a LCD.
When I did get my new TV, I realized that I would occasionally
require access to the back panels. I gave away my mount and
got a fully articulated mount at Costco.
Never looked back... for what that's worth.

I got this last year for $12 and it works fine but it's really close to the wall so some of the cords push against the wall. For $8 it's worth having in case I decide to mount another TV.

Thank you OP and also to those who commented as I wasn't sure about this as it's so cheap but after reading comments I think I am going to try it for my bedroom tv as it should be perfect!

are these things hard to install? i've got a samsung 40" bought from earlier this year i'd like to hang. how does that all work if i've got drywall?

Very easy...
Find the center of the wall and desired height and mark it.
Find the studs left and right of the center.
Draw a straight line using leveler and sharpie from stud to stud.
Drill pilot holes right on the line where the studs are. and put the mount on the wall and tighten. You will know without a doubt whether it has the possibilty of coming down or not.

One caveat with this hardware is that it doesn't look like it can be tilted. Some people prefer to mount their tv a little higher on the wall and angle the tv to the appropriate viewing level, which this mount would not be able to do.

Syrinx2112 11-24-2012 11:18 AM

Do you think this would be able to handle a 50" Panasonic plasma
