pyrotekneks 11-26-2012 09:34 PM

In 4 1 too! I hate the logo's, but the products are top notch. Been waiting for the G9x to be on some kind of sale for a while now!

puttingdog 11-26-2012 09:42 PM

I see $54.99 instead of $50?

Dragazn 11-26-2012 09:53 PM

They must have raised the price. Still a decent deal...

neso617 11-26-2012 09:58 PM

nice find, FP soon..

NotYetRated 11-26-2012 10:02 PM

Excellent, was looking for a sale on this mouse. Keyboard is a nice added detail I can re-gift :)....

Maybe can remove the awful labeling easily as well. Heres to hoping!

groundzyy 11-26-2012 10:06 PM

The price raise, tax and the a bit slow shipping made me finally give it up...

Waiting for a 35 G9X...

XOXO3788 11-26-2012 10:13 PM

G9x is the best one, got it from fry's $59.99 two years before.

wtfbrowtf 11-26-2012 10:17 PM

that mouse looks sexy

no bestiality lol

monkieinabarrel 11-26-2012 10:25 PM

the annoying part about 1sad is when they change the description to refurb... has happened to me 2-3x before. G9x should have a longer warranty, dunno about the keyboard.

ShadowDealer 11-26-2012 10:28 PM

I've been using the g9X since it's beta launch and I can honestly say it's my favorite mouse. I'm never going to stop using this baby.

I love the shape and how it feels, but it takes a ton of force to push depress/click the scroll wheel.

The tilting action of the scroll wheel is nice though; I can't see myself ever using a mouse that doesn't have one of those now.

slamtaz 11-26-2012 11:16 PM

got it, tnx op! repd!

TriCKyHitS 11-26-2012 11:23 PM

got one!

lawchingto 11-27-2012 12:19 AM

Damn hot deal.

eggyolk 11-27-2012 12:20 AM

Sweet. I had wanted a Corsair K90 keyboard but Xmas shopping is killing my wallet. $55 for this combo is to good to pass up. The K90 is going to have to wait.

ChroniCali 11-27-2012 12:26 AM

Got one, thx.

heldl 11-27-2012 12:31 AM

thanks, just bought one

goodolarchie 11-27-2012 12:41 AM

Slick indeed, I've been using this mouse for a few years and it's very well designed (not just for gaming).

mdbrich 11-27-2012 12:52 AM

I have been struggling with the G700. My hand does not sit right on it. Was looking at this mouse but its an older model. However for this price with a keyboard I have to jump on it. bought one

Im curious, do you have big or regular hands? They said g700 is made for big-n-tall people. I wonder about g9x size compare to g700. Anyone had any experience?

The g9x is definitely a bit smaller and has a flatter, more boxy shape, which is better for claw/fingertip grippers. The G700 has a very ergonomic curved shape, best for palm grippers.

I haven't used the g9x in a while but iirc it's also lighter. Then again the G700 is pretty heavy...

I couldn't get into the G700 either, but that's because the laser sensor wasn't centered on the bottom (more forward than dead center), and me being a fingertip grip guy it made small adjustments weird, since my thumb/pinkie is usually aligned with the sensor.

Not sure if any of that made sense, hope I helped.

shadowline 11-27-2012 01:38 AM

What happened to the professional box denters at Logitech?

No offense intended, but I couldn't help but chuckle when you said "g700 is made for big-n-tall people." "They" say a lot of things best to take their advice with a grain of salt.

Regardless of hand size, consider your preference for holding the mouse (which to some extent may be influence by hand size, alas)

g700 definitely for palm hold/grip as it contours, well, the palm. :D

g9 geared toward those who may favor the claw grip; the palm never really rests on the mouse, hovering over it. I'm using the alienware rebrand version of the g9. Very comfortable mouse.

As for a size comparison: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=aazudv&s=7

For those indecisive on the g700 vs g9 or variant: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-s...d-p/834704

Happy Holidays.

SDRockz 11-27-2012 02:07 AM

They raised it $5 more after the SD effect! I have to pass just on principle now!

itsderpxd 11-27-2012 02:41 AM

The keyboard is trash. A corsair will be better for the money. If anything, the keyboard is to make it seem like a deal. Especially with mechanical keyboards becoming more popular, these logitech keyboards are harder to sell.

yabel 11-27-2012 04:02 AM

I own a G9x mouse. Not a COD version and it came with wieghts and 2 added shells to fit your hand. I have smaller hands and took shells off but it is the best mouse Ive owned. Im a gamer and with the sensitivity buttons on top make it breeze to change in mid game. well worth as a combo IMO.

Microshock 11-27-2012 05:46 AM

Good deal except the G9x has a terrible mouse sensor, with hardware mouse acceleration built in, and it's unremovable.

Keyboard should be fine though, even though it's a membrane one.

devdevil85 11-27-2012 06:10 AM

If these arrive DOA or damaged OneSaleaDay requires that you ship both back before they will refund your money or send replacement. I wouldn't do business with them.

Trakanonn 11-27-2012 07:26 AM

keyboard was $25 here, i bought it last wee and like it.

Tell me why it is trash, I am using it right now as I type. For the price it is one of the best bang for the bucks.

schnitter 11-27-2012 07:44 AM

Sorry if this has been asked before, but does this web tax every state or just Florida (and perhaps some others)?

EDIT: Also

Read some online reviews mate, G9x is on almost every top 10 mice list you'll ever see. Its an amazing mice so don't be spewing trash.

samux 11-27-2012 07:52 AM

Great deal, thanks OP!

I've been using this mouse for a long time for gaming and applications like photoshop and it works like a charm.

The mouse has, I believe, 3 sleeves and some weights you can add. In addition, you can adjust the sensitivity with two buttons underneath the left click button.

I feel the opposite. Not too many people are going to notice a positive acceleration of <5%. The keyboard is the weak part of this deal. I love Logitech products, but their "gaming" keyboards aren't too great.

The sensor is flawed, most people aren't going to notice it though. See here [esreality.com] and here [overclock.net] (guide is currently being updated). If you want to know more, google "AVAGO-9500" as that is the sensor in the G9x.

They keyboard is alright for $15 as I'd value the mouse at $40 since it's been that low a few times. TU good deal.

Danzilla 11-27-2012 09:55 AM

Don't really need a keyboard. Would have bought at $50, but not $55.. :(

Brianblunt 11-27-2012 10:19 AM

Edit : The keyboard is backlit , i purchased one , been looking for a backlit keyboard ,plus i've always liked logitech, so the mouse was an added bonus ,
Thanks OP !

TAT_SHINTA 11-27-2012 01:02 PM

Anyone that wants an accurate mouse pointer is going to have an issue with any hardware acceleration, even if it's a small amount.

I think you grossly overestimate the amount of people that are that picky. Anyone who is that picky already knows what they're looking for and know that this isn't it or has tried it and found out it's not as bad as it's been reported and can live with it.

nacional 11-27-2012 02:47 PM

How long is the shipping form 1saledaday lately?
I haven't order in a while and it took them like
a 1 week and half for some headphones.

project300 11-27-2012 02:54 PM

great deal!

i have both of the mouse and keyboard. they both are awesome!!!!!!!

just fyi that the extra gaming button on the very left of the keyboard can through you off if you use the ESC key a lot. i end up pressing G1 a lot instead of ESC. its annoying, but i got use to it.

I don't know why you're downplaying it. This isn't a 5 dollar mouse, the type of sensor actually matters. The fact of the matter is, it's not an accurate mouse.

I never said it was completely accurate, it's not, it's been proven, I've said that. I'm saying it's not noticeable to a large majority of the people that buy this mouse. The acceleration is less than 5%. Yes, a small majority will notice it, but they will likely know in advance about it and thus not purchase this product and buy a G400, Deathadder, WMO, etc instead.

only1love 11-27-2012 06:03 PM

Darn, I don't like the logo but so many good reviews. I need a new keyboard, not a mouse though.. Just impulsively bought the Logitech G500... and I already have the G400 and Razer Deathadder!

Small majority is a contradictory term. And why are you assuming everyone knows about this?

qtfsniper 11-27-2012 07:36 PM

I know about the acceleration and I don't care. It is a good mouse

I wasn't aware of this issue and I owned a G9x for several months. Would explain why it never quite felt right when I was playing StarCraft etc.

It is a decent mouse for sure and if acceleration isn't an issue for the user, go for it. Assuming you don't have large hands - I ultimately replaced mine with a Mionix Naos 5000 simply because my hand did not enjoy the small size of the G9x.

As for Logitech's keyboards... their gaming boards are just bad in my opinion, especially when compared to the various mech boards on the market that go on sale often enough.

burnttoast 12-08-2012 11:28 AM

Brianblunt 12-10-2012 10:15 AM

Still no ship lol this is insane!

qtfsniper 12-11-2012 03:20 PM

Thank you for contacting 1saleaday.

I sincerely apologize for the delay in receiving your item

Unfortunately we are currently experiencing issues with some tracking numbers.

Most packages have shipped, although their tracking numbers may not reflect that, due to some technical glitches with our shipping program.

If you do not see movement, please allow 1-10 business days for your item to arrive.

If you do not receive it and the tracking number is inactive at that time, please let me know and I will be happy to assist you further.

Again, I am sorry for all the trouble and thank you kindly for your continued patience.

burnttoast 12-14-2012 09:33 AM

Is 1saleaday a Chinese company? Is that why shipping takes so long?

oran9e 12-14-2012 01:40 PM

any1 actually got theirs already? or a shipping confirmation?

Apparently theres no track of the order number in my paypal transaction.

for those that know their order number does it look like:
1043217xx (i feel like they are just b.s. customers with the same order number)

yaynick 12-14-2012 04:37 PM

They JUST shipped my F540 that was being sold at the same time as the g9x bundle. It came with a shipping number. I got two shipping e-mails from them in the past few hours. Be on the look out. I was honestly ready to dispute the transaction. BS shipping time.

My number is similar to that, but the 7 and 1 are reversed: 1043271xx. Tracking is now listed on Paypal as well.

BboyPa 12-15-2012 01:54 AM

I finally got my shipping confirmation. I should receive it on christmas eve or by friday next week.

This is my second item i purchased from 1saleaday and the first purchase took exactly a month to receive. Almost the same amount of time on this product.

burnttoast 12-18-2012 01:38 PM

I received my tracking number 4 days ago. They shipped it via UPS. HOWEVER, according to UPS:

Quote:

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

Label Created On:
12/14/2012
So they printed a shipping label but have not actually shipped it.

qtfsniper 12-18-2012 01:40 PM

Same here - They made the label. Shipment never went to UPS

I have a feeling they sold more than they had in stock. The printing label was just to tide us over. This was my first, and will be my last, order from 1saleaday. I don't mind waiting for something, but at least tell me there will be an extended wait period.

Their website says:
Quote:

Delivery timelines vary from item to item. Most orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days, but on rare occasions can take up to 10 days.
I ordered on 11/27, I got my tracking number on 12/14. That's 17 days (13 business days), and that's only if I ignore the fact that it still has not actually shipped that's just the time before a shipping label was created. Who would have thought you could order something online in November and not receive it befor Xmas.

nerdykid 12-19-2012 10:18 AM

They also printed my UPS label, but the tracking number also shows no activity since then. You would think they would stop selling these things if they are having problems procuring inventory.

drenline 12-19-2012 01:37 PM

just received my order after a month (ordered on 11/27), the g9x seems like it's a refurb product, how can I tell? The package for it is very banged up, rips and dents, doesn't feel like it's new at all. The items inside seems fine tho (so far), but whatever. If it is truly refurb, then they should advertise it as that next time...oh well.

drenline 12-19-2012 01:49 PM

I probably WOULD have preferred a return or exchange for this item, but since they've taken this long just to ship it, I think I'll hold onto it. I'm never buying from Ben's Outlet again tho.....

I am not going to buy anything from 1saleaday. Like many of you, mine still says shipping label created for a week now. This company is BS, DO NOT buy from them. I bought a microSD from them once, that arrived on time. Using that experience, I thought it would be fine to purchase from them again. Boy was I wrong.

bartturner 12-22-2012 05:19 PM

Hey Drenline did yours go from label created to delivery? My orders all show label created since 12/14. I purchased three of these for my kids and wondering if there is a chance that it might actually be delivered on Monday.

I agree. I checked paypal the other day and we have 45 days to file a complaint. I figured I would wait until the 27th (so its a full month from my ordering) and contact 1saleaday, then open a paypal dispute.

I don't think it's necessarily 1saleaday's fault. I've ordered numerous items from them before and haven't had issues like I have for this product before. It's their 3rd-party vender "Ben's Outlet" that I think is the problem. The box that came in the mail says that's where the product came from, so I assume that's what took so long for me to finally receive it.

To be honest, I've never even gotten a label created notification, I contacted support@1saleaday.com wondering what the heck was the hold up and requested a tracking number on 12/16. They told me it was shipped the following day and that was when I found out the news it was shipped. Luckily, it arrived before christmas because the keyboard was the gift for my dad.

SO how many people actually received theirs? I have not yet.

I don't think many got them from the first time they were for sale. I emailed 1saleaday for an update, when I get a response I will respond back here.

Try? Try to cancel it? Not shipping it with the time promised, creating a shipping label to create the impression they were shipping it, and absolutely NO communication for an entire month to the effect of any reason for delay and they will TRY to cancel the order? Really?

burnttoast 12-27-2012 12:44 AM

FWIW here is the reply I got:

Thank you for contacting 1saleaday.

I apologize for the shipping delay. We are currently experiencing some system problems with the tracking information. You can expect delivery shortly.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Have a fantastic day!

Sincerely,
George

can you guys post whether or not yours was refurbished too?

just check on the bottom of the g9x and see if there's any normal wear (or not).

thanks.

Please do! They refused to cancel my order, but said I could refuse to accept the package and then they would refund me. I was planning on reselling the mice and keeping the keyboards, for Christmas gifts. So I already failed on the Christmas part here. I'd have a hard time reselling G9x's that aren't new.

qtfsniper 01-03-2013 03:43 PM

Here's an update: stuff came today. the boxes had slight tears in them (mainly the mouse). I haven't plugged it in yet, but no software was inside. I honestly can't tell if they were used or not. The mouse does appear to me new. The keyboard has a smudge on the bottom so that' the only thing that I can think of that might be very lightly used ( refurb maybe?). But overall - If the stuff works, I am keeping them. because I do need a new kb and mouse desperately, but I am done with 1saleaday.

Thanks for the update! I'm still pondering whether or not to accept the shipment.

My mouse was definitely refurbished. Scratches on the feet at the bottom of the mouse, and scratches on the bottom of the mouse itself and fingerprints all over the bottom near the laser. Product box had damage and the tab to close it was half ripped off like it were previously opened. Keyboard seems to be in better shape. No outward signs of use, but then again how many scratches does an average keyboard get over its life. The space key had a big grease smudge on it but I don't know if thats a guaranteed sign its refurb or anything, however the mouse definitely is. Waited six weeks for this and they give us refurbs? It's not like they even bothered fixing the petty cosmetic stuff- like I said the feet were full of scratches.

Is it their policy to give you refurb items and not tell you? After waiting six weeks for this thing, I don't even want to think about how much of hassle it would be returning it.

burnttoast 01-04-2013 11:45 PM

I won't be receiving mine until tomorrow (I will report the condition when I get it), but has anyone considered filing an FTC complaint? It seems extreme but I can't help reflecting on how many negative responses to 1saleaday I have come across that insist that product missrepresentation (selling an item as New when it was used or refurbished) is common with them.

I'm the last person to go on a "this vendor is crap" crusade, but I think its truly deserved for 1 Sale a Day.

Thanks for the thorough report. I'll be swearing off of 1 Sale a Day from now on despite my previous experiences (~10 orders). Like many others here, I ordered these in November for Christmas gifts. Can't help feel that we've been snookered. Slow to ship AND refurb.. It was also disingenuous of 1 Sale a Day to send "shipping tracking" info just to quell those who might be considering cancelling.

Question for my fellow SD'ers. Does anyone have a screenshot of the original page?

burnttoast 01-05-2013 02:31 PM

Well I can report on the condition of what I got. I must have lucked out based on what others have received. Both my mouse and keyboard came in original factory sealed boxes. They are brand new and unmolested. However, the boxes for both, while sealed, were damaged. My guess is these, or at least mine, were damaged box returns. The other thing is that there is a new barcode on both boxes -- it's a sticker over the original code. When I first saw them I thought they might be refurbished, but everything was still wrapped in the box (the keyboard, instructions, and mouse weights) and I cannot find one scratch, rub, or blotch on both. I'm guessing the new code was specifically for 1saleaday.

Still, while I believe everything is new and I like them, I will not buy from 1saleaday again.

SpyrusNViware 01-07-2013 08:53 PM

I just refused shipment today. I really didn't want the mice, and wanted to resell and keep the KBs. So the experiences of other SD'ers helped me decide here. I just don't think I could get $40 out of banged up refurbs. 1SaleADay SAYS they will give me a full refund, but I've never dealt with them on "returns". Thanks for posting guys.

Dilong26 01-08-2013 05:48 PM

I finally got mine today. The boxes were sealed but the mouse is definitely not new. I can see slight scratches on the bottom of the mouse. Keyboard is new as far as i can tell.

dreezy 01-16-2013 09:17 AM

1saleaday has the same deal today going for $52.99 + free shipping.
