According to Posts this is for only one figure, not 3, and is an error on part of Toys R Us. Still waiting for confirmation by members who have picked up their order.

I picked it up and can confirm it is one figure. Plus, TRU doesn't have their site-to-store working smoothly so pick-up time + return time ended up at about 35 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. Also, although the guy working at TRU swore up and down that I read the item wrong it shows a regular price of $69.99 which is waaaaayyy more than 1 GOW figure would ever cost.

Yeah I ordered 2 in case it is the 3 pack. I hope it is. These are sweet looking, but I've never seen a NECA 3 pack. TRU sometimes makes price mistakes and doesn't fix them just makes them look like a sale. Take a look at the Mega Bloks Rhino... originally priced at 149 when MSRP was 89.99

Well it's a series, and there are 3 figures in the series, I do believe they are single packed and TRU just put a picture of all 3. They do that sometimes with figure cases. Like I said, hope I'm wrong.

See my comment on the first page. This price has been there since last wednesday and someone tweeted it to NECA's twitter account as well. They confirmed/mentioned that is a regular price for a single one, and suggested it is probably single.

I ordered one for in store pick up, as I wanted to get one anyway. It turned out to be a single one. The description on that page has no reference to it being a triple back or the sort, it is just the picture that is wrong. The product dimension on the specs tab also suggest that it is for a single pack (Product Dimensions(in inches)12.2 x 6.0 x 3.0)

There is no 3-pack for this, the only reason they are dumped together is that NECA released 3 figures exclusively for toys'r'us individually packaged (http://necaonline.com/36679/licen...ssortment/).

Toys'r'us did a pretty bad job of putting up the product on their page with some sloppy copy paste. Only argument you can have when you go to toys'r'us is that product page was misleading, and cancel your order.

ya, I worded my post wrong. If you collect these I guess is a good buy but for reselling if all you get is one toy is not a good deal. And I'm sure this is a typo..They don't even show on NECA web page...and they are showing everything they ever produced , active or discontinued products...

As I said someone might get lucky and convince some store employee give 3 of them ;) So yeah - UPC is probably for one of the figures and that is probably what I got.(I am not happy that I already threw the package away - I would be able to confirm.).

Yeah I wanted to buy one, and it also gave me a good reason to go to Toys'r'us and look at other exclusive figures from NECA.

These might have a resale value internationally - but doubt they will be in limited quantity in the U.S like some of their other products.

OK, starting to get pissed. TRU store phone has been busy since I last posted.
I have been also searching the web, and found a forum that is stating that these orders are for ONE SINGLE FIGURE, and not the set, as pictorially advertised (and equally list priced to imply) on the Toys R Us website.

Now, my question is, if TRU knew that they had problems then (11/20/2012) with a smaller amount of people ordering and expecting 3 figures per order, why would they not have changed, notified, or altered their website to reflect that this is for a single (imaginary list price of $70 retail) action figure, before it hit a national "deals" website (Slickdeals)?

Well, I just showed them the website and the guy that does the store pickups just gave me all 3, put them in a bag and said have a nice holiday. I got all 3 for $15.99. I think if it's confusing for the employee as well, he took what he saw as being correct. I applaud the first good customer experience I've seen from Toys R Us in a while.

I said that it was obvious from the $69.99 list price and the description talking about all three, that it was designed to be a set. He agreed.

For those who are doing store pickup like me, after 5 days it will auto cancel, no harm no foul. I talked to CS about it and they confirmed the auto cancel. They also said "Ya it shows three but you only get one, that's weird." I told him someone should take the picture of 3 down because it's misleading.

Kind of late to the party, but can confirm a few things. It isn't a 3 pack. It has been ages since NECA has done a boxed set. It is supposed to be for the 3 figures(Best of Gears of War) pictured and not per figure. If you notice in the link, it shows the original price point value is $69.99. If it were per figure, they would be listed individually, like the other Gears figures. Now that being said, I ordered 4 sets of 3 and received 4 figures yesterday when my box arrived. Add insult to injury, only 1 figure was the correct one. I received 2 Cole's, 1 Marcus and 1 of the Best of Theron Guards. I spent a hour on hold and another half hour straightening this out. Hopefully I receive the correct merchandise this time. I'd definitely recommend if they have these 3 figures in your store to have the store price match the website. I bought 4 sets because these are great army builders and price. BTW, does anyone have the UPC/Barcode? I'm really hoping that TRU.com doesn't let me down, but need to make sure I can find this locally if they screw it up again.

Same in Fresno Ca. I went there waited over an hour for them to pull my order. They told me that it was for one action figure so i asked if there is 3 different ones why did they give me 2 of the same character since I only ordered 2. I then pointed out that the list price was also misleading at 69.99. in the end I returned them and I had to fight to not get store credit. They said they didnt know how to refund paypal.

Just received mine. I ordered THREE alleged "3-packs"... I received 2 Golden Cogs and one Elite Theron. You WILL NOT receive a 3-pack. Damn. I figured it was too good to be true. The lined out $69.99 is incredibly misleading.

For once I agree with this thinking (although I resell on eBay, Doh!). I want to buy my items direct from China/ Taiwan/ Japan, etc. Think of the savings, you would spend a third or less of what they make you pay in the store. Say good buy to quick exchanges though! :D

That was a joke. I fixed dinner and cleaned up the dishes, about 1 1/2 hrs. I just left the phone in the dock on speaker. Talked to 1 lady that said she would help and took information, gave me a reference number and sent me to another lady that hung up on me. Called back got Kelly and (he or she) tried to convince me that the web site was accurate, but you only get one of the three listed. I asked her for 69.00 original price, you get one. Yes, that is correct, they are very special. I asked for her manager and after music for 35 min, I hung up. Dishes were done. TRU definitely needs to find some intelligent employees.

Well if it is any consolation it looks like TRU.com messed up again and I'm receiving a QTY of 4 instead of 4 sets of 3(12 figures total). I'm currently on the phone with them and the CSR is researching it. Listen, I can understand if it is a typo and it is per, but if that is the case give folks the option of picking which figure they receive. I'm actually debating on if I'm going to take this into a store or not? Have to take my wife and son to get haircuts, but might go to store once I get home. Ridiculous that the warehouse can't get their $#!% together when fulfilling the orders. I really feel sorry for the stores. They are the one's selling at a loss because of it.

Got mine, I argued, because they only had the 1 Gold Cog Soldier away and the staff were looking for a boxed set. Arguing they couldn't give me three for 15.99 I argued and said you have to give me what the website says, at least give me two, otherwise I'm cancelling the order and contacting HQ. So I got the Gold Cog and Theron v2, worked for me, just required being a bit of a jerk, but I'll never see them again, so whatev I guess. Fight for what you want.

Like most, I've spoken to too many folks the past week. I'm actually waiting on a call from a manager from TRU.com corporate. The last person was a supervisor that felt more like a CSR. Whether it is a typo or not, it is advertising 3 figures for $15.99 and these are sold individually and not part of a boxed set. NECA hasn't done a boxed set since Delta Squad [toydealer.de](TRU exclusive) and the last multipack they did was Kim vs General RAAM [actionfigurepics.com](Specialty/LCBS Stores). Other than it picturing 3 figures I can't understand why TRU(or anyone else) keeps thinking this boxed set? I'm not sure how many of you actually collect this line, but I follow it pretty closely. It is one of the last lines that is actually worth its cost. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend using the store pick up and pushing the issue when you go to pick it up. Dealing with the site is a headache at this point. Received a set and an extra COG soldier. Making it 4 figures instead of 12 figures, since I ordered 4 sets and not 1 figure. Something I can't seem to get through their thick skulls is if it was individual figures they would either be sold separately or give you the pick a figure option. I'm sure he did, why wouldn't he? I'm assuming he did the store pick up and had a receipt of the transaction on TRU.com. I think it is definitely a YMMV situation though. As I explained to a assistant manager, it doesn't make sense that it is just one figure. Especially since it has the list price scratched out of $69.99 and shows all three figures. Not to mention it doesn't give you a option on what figure you pick from the three offered. Nor is it sold separately like the other Gears figures. He tried telling me that each figure originally cost $69.99 and I told him that wasn't true. I've collected the line for quite some time and when TRU originally started selling the waves the figures were $15.99 and have sense gone up to $17.99. I'm hoping I get my phone call tomorrow. Really don't feel like dealing with this much longer. I've got my return label ready and might try another TRU to see if they'll price match the sets online just in case things go south.

If you order 3 they gave you one of each including golden cog.. If you order 10 they gave you one of each but only one golden cog per order.

Just a little update and really suggest those who placed orders to call in and get your orders corrected. I actually got right in today. I'm not really sure how that happened, but I finally got a CSR that read it the same way. She even had a few others confirm it and took down what remaining figures I needed to fulfill the order. Fingers crossed I should have the remainder of my order fulfilled in 3-5 days. Of course these are showing back ordered and I don't know what that means at this point. I understand those who don't have a TRU near them, but for the rest I'd suggest going to the store and having them price match the site. Like I said, it is definitely a YMMV, but it is worth a shot and much better dealing with a TRU.com every other day. At least if you order it and have it shipped to the store you can argue the point and cut out the middle man. That's just my two cents and I'm keeping my fingers crossed until I receive my corrected order. Good luck everyone.

Well, looks like they finally found their mistake and pulled it. So I honestly don't know what they are going to do or what you should do? I've got the order boxed up and debating if I'm going to just return them at this point? I was able to snag a couple sets of 3's for the site cost at a local store yesterday. I was kind of hoping to go back and get a couple more sets and just return the one's I bought through TRU.com to cut my losses. My wife is telling me to just sit tight and wait to see if they send out my figures. Patience isn't something I've learned. Anyway, might be worth a call to see if they'll fulfill the original order. I will say that the rep told me yesterday that they were back ordered on them. Don't know what that means though? I think it is another YMMV or YEMV situation.

Just a little update. Looks like I'm sending back my box. Initially I was told they'd send me the remaining 8 figures they owed me(2x Cog, 3x Theron #1, 3x Theron #2) and now I'm being told that they can't honor it because they have no proof from their own site that this is how it was originally listed. How do you, a .com business have no record of how it was originally listed on your website? Also, why is it stores(YMMV) were for the most part honoring the advertised price.
