Coupon at coupons.com for $1.75 off 2 packs of rayovac. Don't have a home depot here to try it out.

burticus 11-30-2012 07:55 PM

DAMMIT. I needed this last week. Had to resort to an 8 pack of Energizer AAA for $5 which was the cheapest I could find at the time. And I would be perfectly happy with Rayovac... for misc remote controls and flashlights etc.

Oh well....

aidankate32476 11-30-2012 08:00 PM

Plenty in stock at my area stores. I was JUST there earlier too, picking up the Christmas tree; wish I had seen this then.

I believe Rayovac is guaranteed for at least 5 years. At least the 9V I bought at Target today were.

I bought 2. With remotes, Christmas toys and cameras, they'll probably get used. When I used my digital camera often, I'd only buy Rayovac because they lasted the longest and were affordable.

I know my SIL loves when I put batteries in the toys I get her kids, so that'll probably use a handful before January!

Absolutely incredible

This deal is absolutely incredible. I have been purchasing AA and AAA Duracell, Energizer, and Rayovac batteries in bulk for over a decade. I usually purchase 144 packs of Duracells and did so recently. 48 Rayovacs for $8 is truly awesome. Thank you.

harleywife1993 11-30-2012 09:18 PM

I have come to the conclusion that because of Staples FARewards, combined with FARebate items, there is no reason for me to ever pay for: AA or AAA batteries, copy paper, photo paper.

But it's a great deal if you don't roll with Staples. :-)

Funny...a lot of your rep is from flaming people.

If you have an opinion about a product, posting it is just sharing your thoughts on the product.

If you post your opinion about someone with innuendo...i.e. how do you know nobody cares?...and your opinion is negative in a way to be spiteful or hurtful...then your opinion is useless to everyone on these forums.

My opinion is you are why they made ignore buttons. Goodbye.

. This is a notification that one or more item(s) from your order have been cancelled.

xkaptainx 12-01-2012 05:43 AM

I received the pickup notification at 630AM, so they are not cancelling all orders. Probably depends on store.

Yes, well at least in New Jeresy they are. There is a lot of them left over in Jersey due to everyone stacked up on batteries before/after Sandy...
This is a good deal though....And the Depot normally doesn't carry this pack so they have to be fresher batteries, not like the ones that lay in distribution centers for a while before shipping out.

examante 12-01-2012 06:00 AM

I'm guessing they aren't really in stock. 2 local stores cancelled on me

My local HD actually gave me a call around 7 this morning, saying that the truck with the 95 hadn't showed up yet and that's why my order was cancelled. Not until Monday or Tuesday would it be in stock. But she guaranteed me the price. Polite of her to call and let me know I think.

Yes, they are the same price in the store. I just saw this thread and they're already sold out online so I called my local store. They had 8 left, I asked for 4 packs and they couldn't hold them for me unless I paid for them on the phone.

I used a prepaid gift card and the total came to $33.10 for 4 packs. They have them at the service desk for me to pick up.

virtualko 12-01-2012 09:32 AM

same price in store for me in orlando, fl. bought 3. had the $1.75/2 and a $1 off coupon from a previous rayovac package.

in the years past, i wouldn't have touched rayovac. last christmas, i noticed that they've been putting on their packages that they 'last as long as engergizer and duracell'. duracells are usually my battery of choice, so i took a shot and bought them. suprised to say that those were a VAST improvement on the rayovac experiences i had in the past. not sure that they are equivelant to duracell, but they seem to be close and i'm not disappointed for the price.

For anyone wondering, In Store pickup is good for at least 7 days.

Once my order is ready, how long will it be available at the designated store for pickup?
Your order will be available for in store pickup for at least seven (7) days from the date the order is ready. After 7 days, your local store may cancel the order and issue a refund based on the original form of payment. For more information please contact Online Customer Care at 1-800-430-3376.

Thanks! It worked this time. I had to choose the store and check the inventory, close the page, and then go back to the item which now shows my store and add it to the cart and check out.

firedog79 12-01-2012 10:25 PM

Picked up two today, didn't see about the $1.75 until now dang it that would have made a sweet deal even better. I also had to hunt them down and found them by the paint. I asked and was told that all their batteries were up front and walked back to the batteries with the guy and he said I dont see what you are talking about, I said online last night it said there were 200+ in stock, he said the price and pack didn't make sense (they had 24 packs of energizer for about $15). Anyway while talking to him another worker overheard me and asks if I was looking for the Rayovac batteries and I said yes, he said they are by the paint, there were easily the 200+ of them there and yes then I noticed the price at Walmart, very good deal.

Thanks for the tidbit, just so happens the display was close to the entrance door at my HD but I walked in through the exit door. Haha~ :repped: U

The manager didn't allow printed MQs so those $1.75/2 didn't work, but I happened to go to my local Vons grocer earlier and the back of their receipts have local printed ads $5/$20 Ace Hardware Q's so I was happy to use 1 of 5 in hand. Vons receipt local printed ads are YMMV.

I'm pretty sure these are the same price in-store, I've ordered from Home Depot a few times before just to find that the price was the same. But it's always good to call and check with them first :).

Military Members get 10% off everyday, so if this is the same price in-store you can get an additional 10% off your total order.

Thx! OP

godaime 12-02-2012 01:02 AM

Also got this in Logan, Utah. bought 2 online an additional 1 in-store as it was a really sweet deal. For all interested, battery expires at Dec 2018. I have enough to last!! Unless I have kids soon and they use it up for all their toys. lol

scottman 12-02-2012 02:27 AM

Home Depot has a deal like this on rayovacs every year for BF and after. Last year it was 30AA+30AAA in the plastic boxes for $10, year before it was just 60AA for $10, which works out to almost the same here. If I didn't still have over 100 unused from past deals, I would be in on this since all my stores seem to have 200+ in stock.

Awesome, I went to my local store and they were OOS on Black Friday and I was super bummed. Two kids with lots of toys that require batteries = awesome!

Svnla 12-02-2012 12:47 PM

Ordered one and just received the cancellation email. Bummer.

JKrash 12-02-2012 02:09 PM

Dropped into the local HD, picked up 2x48 packs.
At checkout the cashier said, well each of these say 2 packs so the discount is $1.75 on each of them!
I asked her to check with the manager and he said the same thing.
Great Deal!!!

ChadK4963 12-02-2012 02:47 PM

Steveb3163 12-02-2012 02:49 PM

The back of the package says AA made in USA Belgium or Germany see battery for details - AAA made in USA

The HD I went to won't take printed coupons.com coupons... I guess it's hit or miss who you talk to. I was using the self checkout... still a good deal for 3 packs - $5 PayPal promo...

lozts 12-03-2012 05:30 PM

105 in stock at my local store...hopefully they wont cancel.

How long do unused batteries last? I don't know when I'll get around to using these.

Redrotors 12-03-2012 07:57 PM

What you are looking at are imitation Rayovac's from CHINA. The Feds seize fake junk like that all the time but im sure that 53' containers of that $hit gets through.

simplec6 12-08-2012 02:15 PM

Got 3 packs, peeled the label off one AA. It is not relabeled.

OK , So here is the deal , Not sure if it was posted before in SD , but I saw it in FW .

Home depot has this deal on a 48 Pack of Rayovac Batteries ( 24 AA and 24 AAA ) for $7.88
The Deal is Online to buy but mostly for in store pick up .
To make this work ; Make sure you go to the store ( Does not work online or for in store pick up )

http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5...MRLBne-Z8E

To make this deal work you have to go here :
http://asupersavvysaver.blogspot....chase.html
and sign up for the email alerts ( use whatever email account you want , you will get it within minutes of signing up ) and get a $5 off $50.00 Coupon .

Then you have to go to this Link : http://asupersavvysaver.blogspot....depot.html
and add this coupon to your Paypal account for $10 off 50 Coupon for Paying Using Paypal .

The go to the store and Buy (7) 48 Packs of Rayovac AA/AAA Batteries , your Total should be $55.16 before Taxes , minus the $5 off 50 Coupon , at this point your total will be $50.16 + Tax .....then Check out using Paypal ...your total will be $50.16+Tax ...but when you check your Paypal accounts you will see that you ended up paying $40.16 + Tax after the $10 off 50 Paypal coupon has been applied !!!

You end up getting 336 Batteries ( 168 AA and 168 AAA ) for $40.16 + Tax , That's like paying almost $0.12 per Battery !!!

Feel Free to add anything else in case I'm Missing something and Please be Nice , this is my First time posting a deal !!!!

It's a pretty good price if you need that many batteries. But you can often find sales to get AA and AAA around $0.10 each. Menards frequently runs specials which average between $0.10 and $0.15 per battery on those sizes, as long as you don't mind sending in their rebates for a merchandise credit. You can also get them free after rewards at both OfficeMax and Staples several times throughout the year, so you end up just paying tax.

NikonF7 12-09-2012 05:11 AM

I consider Rayovac a pretty good brand of batteries, especially for getting great value and durability on things like hearing aid batteries. Really haven't used their AA/AAA much, but pretty sure they're pretty good based on a deal I got as Sears a few years ago.

Anytime a brick of 40 or 48 is under $10, you're doing at least as well as a typical wholesale club purchase on a 2nd-tier brand. So with this being half that, this is a great price.

As for the ability to get free after rewards deals at OfficeMax, Staples, etc.
I'll defend the OP and say that $1 of rewards is a lot different from $1 of cash.
Yes, there are ways to make $1 of rewards worth more than $1 of cash, but it's work and takes time, patience, skill, and perseverance. Quite different from just buying stuff you want and being done. Some of the "free battery" deals are essentially giving the store a loan in exchange for just a fraction of that amount back in batteries, plus of course store credit for the full amount in a month or three. Like now, you can shell out $68 for a handful of batteries at OM, and eventually get the right to spend $68 on other stuff with them. And there's always the crapshoot of how many weeks/months it will be before you see something you want to spend the $68 on or are able to roll the rewards on. Lots of us have boxes of "near free stuff" that we'll never use or be able to flip for significant money. Hence rewards rolling is often best for people donating supplies to schools, etc, rather than truly getting stuff they want. You'd need to roll "free battery" rewards a couple of times without mishap, to get as good a deal on batteries as this one.

thegreatfixer 12-09-2012 05:49 AM

thanks OP this is a good deal one of the better deals out there better then the Lowes 30 for $4 and any other deal i can remember

Hogan773 12-09-2012 06:00 AM

You could also tee up this deal for 50 packs of gum for only 40. I guess it's good if you're going to use that many batteries. Why not go to Costco and get the Eneloops on sale for 1.50 a battery and actually be a tad bit greener for our world? You can recharge them 1500 times. I have bought the HD rayovac specials in the past and I still have several boxes in my cabinet. I tend to use rechargeables for flashlights and wii controllers and toys. Kills me to just throw in disposables for those type of things.

I used my 10 off 50 on a wet dry vac

danny_lamchops 12-09-2012 10:24 AM

Does anyone have a scanned copy of the $1.75 manufacturer's coupon? That would be most appreciated!

danny_lamchops 12-09-2012 10:27 AM

Just kidding. I found here.

Picked up four packs tonight @ HD. Used two coupons and there were plenty left.

Big thanks for posting...repped!

L-Tuned 12-10-2012 03:31 PM

Repped. Could've just purchase it in the store instead of "pickup in store". Waited f'ing 30 minutes in the "online pickup line" then found out they had a whole stack of it sitting next to the cashier stand lol

thisisnuts 12-10-2012 04:05 PM

Stacks of this available at HD still. Why? Why are they pushing the 48 pk at such a price? Meanwhile I see the 10 pk selling at the usual price. Is it harder for them to unload the 48 pk? Experation date on a pk I picked up says 2018 AAA and 2019 AA.

Maybe because they only gave limited stores all the 48-PKS. Both stores in OH had zero 48PKS available. Prob just poor distribution.
