For one of the most highly rated games for the PS Vita, so far this sounds like a sweet deal to me.

http://www.frys.com/product/70147...IN_RSLT_PG

Runs at $34.99, but only $19.99 right now.

NOTE: IN-STORE ONLY(INCLUDES IN-STORE PICKUP IF AVAILABLE)

Seems to be OOS at all stores within 100 miles of me (Irvine, CA)

Same here with the OOS in WA, but just go to the store, i'm pretty sure they barely sell Vita games in the first place, but doesn't hurt to check.

This is one of the best games I've ever played this year. Tho I highly recommend you play 999 and get the true ending before playing this.

AvantGourd 12-06-2012 12:01 AM

Thing is, I was just at my local store yesterday, and there was no VLR to be found. =/ The Vita section was basically just one rack with a ton of CoD, Resistance, AC Liberation, etc...

Guess I'm going back... Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Lumines, and BlazBlue for $15 ea don't seem bad at all. Not VLR but I think those prices are new as well.

dblo7 12-06-2012 12:11 AM

no, those prices have been like that for maybe a week or so now. i'm holding off on buying anything for my vota before xmas b/c i have PS+ and am expecting them to give us more retail games for free like gravity rush and uncharted

AvantGourd 12-06-2012 12:22 AM

Huh... maybe it's a regional thing. Dungeon Hunter and Lumines were both 29.99 at my store yesterday. Now I'm kinda pissed. And somewhat confused. And a little amused.

It's the opposite for me; I have the 3 1-month PS+ trial codes from the AC Liberation bundle and I'm waiting for Sony to add more games before I start them. Until then I guess I'll go physical.

dblo7 12-06-2012 12:25 AM

i'm holding off on buying LBP:V in case they have a sale on it before xmas, unlikely though.

i might grab this virtue game, but i played 999 and wasn't too thrilled about it: replay after replay after replay just to try and achieve the "true" ending. easily a resellable game though

never played 999, this game does use the replay mechanic, but instead of replaying from the beginning you just skip back to a decision and go from there and they make it easy to skip most repetitive dialog with the square button.

You need to put "In Stores Only" in your title. Great deal, but sucks for the thousands of us that don't live near a Fry's per usual.

starfox_387 12-06-2012 08:45 AM

Unavailable at every location? I want to Amazon PM this, but if it's unavailable everywhere, I can't really justify it.

makstaks 12-06-2012 09:39 AM

I don't recall amazon ever pricematching Frys. They're too small.

999 is the exact smae, IMO. i lost interest and just rushed thru the 2 hour game within an hour or so just to make different choices. IMO, this is not a fun game, but you be the judge

Not my style of game but amazing reviews:

Vita has the quality; now it needs the quantity.
If Amazon PM's, I'll bite.

Just a heads up: Dungeon Hunter isn't a bad game but its NOT worth $30. Its a $10-15 PSN game and its ridiculous that the MSRP for the Vita version is $40. Same goes for Lumines. Its got great reviews but IMHO, a puzzle game should not retail for $40.

Thought I'd try my luck but they said it was on clearance and they wouldn't get any more in stock; was hoping to get a rain check.

dblo7 12-07-2012 12:06 AM

funny how they claim it's on clearance whereas it's a fairly new release and still strong at every other store that sells video games. i went to ask and only 3 stores have it: texas and cali,.

forgot to ask for a raincheck. :/

Street Fighter x Tekken is also listed at $20.
