kicker618 12-06-2012 02:44 PM

produke 12-06-2012 02:45 PM

semms like discontinued product, no?

jackone 12-06-2012 02:50 PM

discontinued product for sure.

Reirika 12-06-2012 03:01 PM

No black ones... Only managed to make it work on the white one.

sklar 12-06-2012 03:46 PM

Single core, 512MB ram....meh...spend a little more and get something that won't suck by next year.

max1001 12-06-2012 03:53 PM

need to be $100 to be slick.

espy 12-06-2012 03:56 PM

Probably best tablet that is almost $100, but it seems to have performance and stability issues. Would still recommend a Nexus 7 if you can afford it over this.

Damn racist coupon codes!

jdr36xbr 12-06-2012 04:13 PM

I picked up a couple of these for $90 something from the outlet and honestly they were an ok deal (just) at that price. They are pretty slow by today's standards and the display is TN so off-axis is pretty bad. These are sort of comparable to the original Nook Color but with a worse screen. I'd pay a little more for something better at this price.

ctsoh 12-06-2012 04:25 PM

Why buy it when Staples has the newer product A2107 on sale for $149.99.

peppermint 12-06-2012 04:58 PM

thanks

slickdealler 12-06-2012 05:01 PM

Nexus 7 is so good. buy it.

512MB ram is the biggest draw back. You might as well buy a chinese knockoff for $50 at Biglot

link626 12-06-2012 05:16 PM

these are $99 specs

This. If you're looking for something super cheap, get a $70 tablet at Big Lots. Otherwise, spend a bit more for the Nexus 7. $129 is not a good spot for tablets right now, which is crazy to say, but that's where we are. Just wait until you see what $99 will get you in Q4 2013.

There's a ton more of drawbacks to this thing besides the RAM -- Not worth it at $129 still

jbstrom 12-06-2012 06:13 PM

These should have a dual core for this kind of money by now.

Chi-YanC 12-06-2012 06:39 PM

I got on the $99 refurb BN Nook Tablet last week. It was pretty easy to root and get CM10. I think the Nook Tablet is better than this (dual core, 1GB ram), except it doesn't have cameras.

I think you're right. If it had a couple of camera's I'd buy one for a beater tablet.

cheema 12-06-2012 09:53 PM

I think the bad screen is a much bigger drawback.

Little off topic, but can anyone recommend a good deal on a 10" tablet, or at least tell me what price point I should be aiming for on one?

This is a bad deal since a nook tablet can be had for 99.99 at 1sad.com(live 20 mins ago) and the tab 7.0 is going down in price. On to the next tablet thread. :-)

DarkriftX 12-07-2012 02:04 AM

Avoid the omap processers as a lot of stuff will not install on them. Also, this is double the price of the visualland prestige 7 which is much better for a low end cheap tablet (I bought 2 for my kids).

RavenSEAL 12-07-2012 02:39 AM

Probably better off ordering a $50 tablet from Hong Kong...specs on this thing are completely lackluster.

Tiawolski 12-10-2012 02:17 PM

This is an old spec, next year there will be alot more tablet coming out which made this an slow tablet.
