12/14 - 12/16 $10 off $50 One Item When Using Your Debit Mastercard w/ coupon Best Buy B&M
1 Attachment(s)
I got a email with this coupon for $10 off $50 when paying with your Debit Mastercard. I'm assuming this is a non unique coupon but I can't tell for sure.

Doesn't seem to exclude BB gift cards / third party gift cards either
|
I hope the Nikon exclusion isn't a sign of things to come, the old Rewardzone coupons never excluded Nikon, I got an SB600 and a 70-300 for pretty good prices with them...
|
Making this slick, you should be able to have BB price match Toys R US 10% off gift cards for additional savings.
|
I should also add that the paypal card is a debit mastercard for those wanting to get in on this deal
|
Would be awesome if we could use this with the 3DS deal that starts tomorrow, but it looks like the fine print says that it's not usable with 'gaming hardware'. Damn...
|
Has anyone tried the coupon yet? I was thinking about getting a prepaid MasterCard gift card and using that. I also noticed that the coupon is just $10 off period, even though it states that you must use a MasterCard debit card, it doesnt look like the register would remove the coupon if you swiped a visa. I think I'll give it a shot today.
My line of thinking is, go to Walmart and have them pm toys r us for 10% off giftcards and pick up a $200 MasterCard giftcard. Head to BB and use the MasterCard gift card and coupon to buy 4 $50 prepaid (if they have MasterCard gcs then could just take those and buy 4 amazon $50 gcs for even more savings), then shoot over to TRU and buy $200 worth of amazon kindle gift cards. Total should come out to be 18 in fees and 80 in discounts = $134 for $200 worth of amazon. Mind you all of my stores are like right next to each other so it really won't take all that long to do it. |
I was wondering if this could be used on BB gift cards? What I would like to do is buy some $50 BB gift cards with this coupon, and then turn around and buy some $50 Amazon Kindle gift cards pricematched with the 10% discount Toysrus ad. Could be some pretty cheap Amazon gift cards if it all works out.......:shake:
Buy two $50 gift cards at BB, works out to $80 OOP if you do two transactions. Turn around and then buy two $50 Kindle gift cards for $90 with the 10% off and your previously purchased BB cards. So for $80 OOP you get $100 in Amazon gift cards and $10 left over in BB gift cards. |
is this a single use coupon?
|
Naw, this isn't a unique coupon. It doesn't appear to work on gift cards though. I tried it on Kindle cards and it didn't take off the $10, but every cashier I tried accepted it. They just manually took off the $10.......
|
Tried today in two bestbuy. not working for Amazon Kindle $50 . so I assume not working for BB GC too.
cashier can scan coupon, and the Mastercard promotion code appear on Monitor. However, it won't deduct $10 while paying. No matter cashier scan coupon first or scan Kindle card first, no $10 off Supervisor said it won't work for the system even tiny terms of condition not mention GC excludive I give up since Nothing good price in Bestbuy for me now FYI |
no go on BB gift cards.
|
Was able to get $10 off on Amazon kindle cards. Even though amazon $50 cards not available, store manager did apply the promotion on 2x $25 amazon kindle cards purchase. Used my $10 reward zone certificate also. $30 for $50 amazon gift card, not a bad deal. just used one of the gift card to purchase at amazon.com on top of $5 off $25 amazon promotion. BTW, i used Citi Master credit card for the purchase.

Nice, now what do I buy that would be worth going to Best Buy for. Usually $50+ items at BB your better off buying online would still be cheaper even with this coupon. I was gonna buy some bluerays but this is good for 1 item.

I received the same email - who has a MC debit card?? Spent more than $5K with BB and they send me this? Gonna be a lot less spent with BB next year, I didn't even get one of the previous 2 day email coupons. Oh well, but seriously who has a MC debit card? :(
|
I'm sorry that the coupon does not suit your needs. I'll try harder next time.
|
Am I blind or do the restrictions not include the purchase of gift cards?
If you can buy $50 in gift cards with $10 off, super slick! |
Sweet! $10 Bonus rewards and this combined with my current Debit Card that has a deal where I get $5 back on a $25 purchase. Now, to find something to buy.

I used these last time to get some discounted Amazon kindle cards..........
|
I have one but I like it better to pay with my Amex to get the extended warrenty.
Thats what I did when I used the coupon, cashier didn't care or didn't realize  Quote:
|
These probably can be used on BB gift cards, but be prepared, they will scan but not take off the $10 discount. The cashier will have to manually take off the $10. They don't have any gift card exclusions, so it shouldn't be a big deal though......
|

curious, did the coupon scan fine or a manager had to override it? |

i got this offer last week, ended up not using it because most stuff in their $50 range is overpriced. I pricematched some games last week, but they ended up at $49.99, so no go.
|
Sweet. Paypal's card is Mc and it is a debit.
|
Any idea if this works even without paying with MC? My guess is it would since it would take off the $10 before a card is swiped, but I don't know their system. I have a MC debit from Ally, but would love to combine this with my Amex offer. :)
|

From my experience they don't care what you actually pay with..........;) |
Can you buy bestbuy gift cards with that?
|
This deal seems far superior to the TRU 10% Amazon Kindle price match from two weeks ago. I would've expected hundreds of replies by now.
Is there any reason why I can't print out 100 of these and buy every $50 Amazon Kindle card I can find in the store? I understand I would have to check out one transaction at a time, but for a 20% savings on Amazon it seems worth it. Am I missing something here? |
Quote:
Not really. I bought quite a few last week on a similar deal, and even posted about it here, but nobody seemed to care that much. I thought a 20% discount at Amazon was pretty sweet. Combine that with the 10% off Amazon coupon and it could be even better......:lmao: |

Is an "Amazon Kindle" card just an Amazon gift card?

Best Buy sells $50 and $25 kindle cards. By the sounds of it, you'd have to purchase the $50 one (instead of 2 $25 ones) since the coupon states $10 off $50 on one item, not transaction.

I have a Paypal Mastercard Debit Card. Problem with this coupon is that it excludes nearly everything..lol. :shake: |
This is an awesome deal. Go buy a $50 kindle card for 20% off, ok sure!
|
This might be good for those that can't find a Killzone Bundle anywhere (like me). I'll probably pick up the white controller in the twisted metal bundle is looking pretty tempting. Rep'd!
|
For people who can't find $50 amazon kindle gift card, make a purchase of BB gift card and then use it for buying amazon kindle gift card.
|
This may be a dumb question but do you have to run the debit card as a debit card or can be used as a credit card?
I always use my Paypal MC debit card as cc because I get 1% cash back but guess I will have to use it as a debit card in this case just to pay it safe. |
Really, that is quite the deal on a $50 Kindle card !! :)
|
Just came back from buying 4. Didn't want to hold up the line too long. Prob get another few tomorrow. I just paid with a MC debit, but I'm sure another card would have worked. The discount comes off before running the card. Never bought Amazon GCs from there before, took me a while to find them in the back by the computers.
|
Worked great with regular MC! Only was able to get two Amazon GCs.
|
What If i wanted to buy ms points that are 49.99?
|
I just got two Kindle cards but was not easy as the system didn't want to accept them and cashier had to call over a supervisor and they had to override it. They didn't give me any friction about it, but juAst took time to read the entire coupon and decide it was ok and put it in manually.
And as someone stated above, the cards were in teh computer dept and took me awhile to find as well. |
Just a heads up for anyone who got the Safeway/ Mastercard GC deal. Those are debit cards.:woot:
|
Thanks for the coupon! Here's some rep, tis the season for rep.
|
Whats the best CC for points for a BB store purchase? thanks
|
To answer an earlier question, Ally Bank uses debit mastercards

Got denied trying to combine this coupon with my $10 'mystery' one. Ended up using the $10 off on a $25 Kindle card instead.

Discover has 5% off all online purchases. |
Can I combine this with the Amex 20/200 deal? That is, if they are careless enough to allow that..
|
Worked for one, but was a hassle. First, how do they validate you're using a MC Debit, until you pay? But you need the discount applied before you pay? Anyway, she had to ask the cashier next to her for help, as it wasn't scanning. Then I was tying up two lines. She finally just inputted $10 as a generic coupon. I didn't bother going back through to try it again. Am happy it worked once.

Has anyone ever done a return and rebuy at the same discounted price? Would like to apply a BB gift card that I'll be receiving in a week.
|
I tried to use the coupon and it failed on the Kindle gift card. I then got a regular item that wasn't on the exclusion list and the coupon still failed. He then told me I need to pay for the gift card first and then it will only charge me $40. I paid and I got email receipt showing I spent $50. He then went to customer service desk and gave me $10 cash. I was hoping they would manually mark it down so I could buy a couple thousand dollars worth of them between the stores in the area. Doesn't look promising though. :(
|
How about buying the Leather Smartcover for an iPad? That's worth at least $50 right?
|
I got shot down in Sunnyvale Bestbuy. They gave me some BS about it not being valid for gift cards.

I ended up calling BB corp. and the CSR was nice enough to do a research and said it wouldn't work on GC https://www-ssl.bestbuy.com/site/...page&h=488 Can I use a digital coupon to purchase a Best Buy gift card? No, digital coupons are not redeemable toward the purchase of Best Buy gift cards. since we're using a "digital coupon" it won't work with GCs personally I think they're just dumb not taking my money. Costco is selling restaurant GC everyday at 20% off(or more), ie.79.99 for 100 at Elephant Bar, 27.99 for 40 at cold Stone, etc. people losses GC or they just never use it, BB gets to keep all that money, FOREVER! I really don't mind BB going under like some of the Wall Street is predicting, if they do I'll still have Amazon and Costco |
i also got shot down by a fat chick and her anal retentive asst. mgr. man, I hate bestbuy.
i realized on the drive home that I'm getting to that point in life where doing deals like this that require arguing/complaining/extra hassle are just not worth the time and stress. for once i hear myself saying my time and energy are actually worth more than saving $10, which is surprising. congrats to everyone who got the override. |
I did this deal last week on Kindle Gift Card. No cashiers can figure out how to make the coupon work. Finally manger manually applied $20 discount from my $100 Kindle Gift Card transaction. Very time consuming process. I don't want to go through this process again for possible $10 discount, since it all depends on manger's mood.

|
Well I got two yesterday and was going to get two more today but it was a hassle. I guess I will just bring my receipt from yesterday and if they say it won't work, I will say it did yesterday and maybe they will do it. I agree it isn't worth arguing over $10 but maybe for $20 if there is a reasonable probability of success.
|
Somewhat YMMV, but this coupon may allow you to get a decent price on a wifi ready (ethernet only w/o buying overpriced adapter) LG Blu Ray Player.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/LG+-+...&cp=1&lp=1 Price match to Nebraska Furniture Mart for $49.99 http://www.nfm.com/DetailsPage.as...d=35117647 Possible YMMV if you are the majority without a NFM in your area (only ones are in Omaha, Kansas City and Des Moines) since NFM is not one of Best Buy's selected online retailers they will match over the holidays. My guess is it would still work as NFM has free shipping on it seemingly anywhere in the lower 48 states. Personally, I am in Des Moines, so if I jump on this won't apply to me. -$10 coupon = $39,99 before tax Of course YMMV on whether you can use cards other than debit MasterCard, others in the thread have had success apparently, but stores in my area typically look for any possible reason to deny you. Of course if you have a debit MasterCard then it's not a problem. Looks like a nice deal seeing as people thought the $38 LG from Walmart on BF was a pretty good deal without any sort of Internet connectivity. |
had to argue with like 5 idiots and wasted 45 minutes to get once $50 GC.. what a pain.. cant wait for them to go out of business
|
Is there an updated version of that coupon? I just noticed that it expires on 12/9 ? I used it twice yesterday but maybe that was just pure luck..weird.

I got 3 $50 Amazon Cards today. It's a little bit of a hassle, but 20% off is worth it. The young guy at the register asked an older manager what to do and the manager just said to do a manual credit. He did check to make sure it was a MC Debit card. All three transactions went smoothly but I could definitely see it not working if you got the wrong crew trying to ring you up.
|
where is 20% off
|
Bought one BB gift card, because the 2 $25 kindle cards was not one item. I then purchased the 2 cards I had on the counter with the BB card. Took about 15 minutes of hassle. I have already spent the $50 bucks on SD's today.

Manual credit here as well. Took about 20 minutes to get a manager to complete the override. The barcode scans into the system but it shows $0.00. At first, they had me run my Ally (as a debit card) to see if the $50 would only charge $40 (which I knew wouldn't work). So they reversed that charge to my Ally.
In the end, they let me put $40 on my ING electric orange card (I wanted to use a different card so there was no mixup) and I did not use it as a debit card. Keep your receipts. Manager definitely said GC don't work but I insisted the coupon does not disallow GCs. Plus we all know these aren't really GCs. One time is enough for me, not sure I'm going to try this again. |
And no one cares but me that the coupon expired 6 days ago???

I noticed this still active coupon in an earlier post. |

http://image.emailinfo2.bestbuy.c...c14-16.pdf I simply responded to the wrong thread about the current coupon. I apologize. ***** EDIT: for some reason, this thread has no date on the main thread page so that's why I posted my purchase today in here. Is just says, "$10 off at Best Buy ($50+ item) with MC Debit Card" |
Quote:
...but yes, $10 off of $50 is 20% off. Using the coupons on a $50 Kindle card is like getting 20% off at amazon (cards can be used for anything @ amazon). http://image.emailinfo2.bestbuy.c...c14-16.pdf |
Ok thank you for the updated coupon. I am still not sure if I used updated one yesterday or expired one. I probably used the new one but not even sure. But I'm glad this is good another day and I will try for two more tomorrow.

Just heads up. I had to get a package of mentos with my $50 PSN card for the two coupons to take.

Just purchased 10 $50 Kindle Cards. The folks at Best Buy kept saying, " they're only good on Kindle Devices". I didn't say anything back but was thinking, geez, does anyone know their merchandise???
They initially gave me a hard time but I told them I frequently purchase large amounts of gift cards from giant eagle to take advantage of their fuel perks program. In fact, one lady said it was a 'federal law' to sell more than 2 denominations of gift cards in a 24 hour period! With that said, I got my 10 cards because I'm a true slickdealer and this wasn't my first rodeo when dealing with managers! Detail update: the cashier had to do manual override for each card. I requested individual transactions because they were, "gifts for the family" stay persistent. Go to a regular cashier, this way a line forms behind you. Having a line behind you is good because they will want to just get you out of there. |

Hope this helps. |
I need $1600 Kindle GC. Wonder if the manager would make a deal for me to do it all in one trip :D:D:D

Someone please keep us updated on whether using a small filler will make the coupon work correctly.
I'm planning on heading out to BB later today to get in on this deal, if nothing else I let ya'll know tonight. |
FYI, my best buy is no longer allowing this to be used on Kindle Cards via manual override. I was able to get 3 Amazon Gift cards with it yesterday.
|
Shot down at both my local bestbuys, both with and without fillers :<
|
Got a $50 GC at my local BB. As expected needed an override. They apollogized for the coupon not working. The BB CSRs are so nice. In the end, they didn't even care if I paid with a mastercard debit card or not.
|
I thought it was 10 off of 50? So if u buy $250 do u get $50? How about if u order online to be picked up in store and pay with MC?
|
They only let me buy 1 Kindle card with manual override. I did not try with filler. They said coupon is photo copied and would they would only allow one per customer.
