In my opinion, the Nook Tablet is far and away better than some of the crappy A8-based ICS tablets that are floating around in its price range. You have to work a bit (make a microSD card with CM10 on it), but you'll end up with a nice little Android tablet.

Got two of the Nook Tablets from the front page ebay deal yesterday from B&N. They were refurbed, which i kind of prefer over preowned. Plus I am guaranteed to have by X-mas. They already shipped with a delivery of Dec 21st. I am really anxious to root these. Had the original NC and loved it. Paid over 200 for it last year sometime... can't believe i got this tablet for 95 bucks!

I bought them as well but finding a very hard time finding "simple" instructions on how to root it. I would like to use the SD card and not root the device itself. Any info would be extremely helpful.

I havent started looking for rooting instructions yet. Once I get to my personal computer, I will try and find some good instructions. I normally start with XDA or youtube.com because the videos help me out a lot more than written instructions. Keep in mind though, that the instructions seem like a lot and are overwhelming to read. If you follow them step by step, you should be fine. That is why i like the videos because they give you the step by step and they show what you are doing.
