If you all keep buying at this inflated price why would they lower it???

jaksmith 12-16-2012 12:20 AM

Not bad if you need it now. Frequently at $35, rarely at $30ish.

where is it 35$ frequently?

Fadekyn 12-16-2012 12:30 AM

More at $40 with rarely at $30 this year. I just got lucky and got the $30 ebay/tigerdirect version that sold out in 10 min on Friday. So this is not a bad price at all. Especially since it's a physical card instead of a code.

Much better for stocking stuffers than printing out a piece of paper.

Too bad you couldn't price match this, since this is Neweggs Ebay account.

Just search slickdeals, you'll see it previously. Think it's been 35 twice since Thanksgiving.

For the lazy:
http://slickdeals.net/f/5701600-Xbox-Live-12-Month-Gold-Membership-Card-35-Free-Shipping
http://slickdeals.net/f/5658890-eBay-Daily-Deal-12-Month-Xbox-Live-Gold-Subscription-Card-37-99-Free-Shipping (it was actually $34.99)

Both were Tiger Direct via eBay Daily Deal and a week apart. This is still a decent deal.

But yeah, decent deal if you need it now.

Yes, but very sparse prior to that. This is a good deal.

:thanks: DJ3

Thanks. Been holding out for $35, but has been impossible since they sell out in 20 min every time. In for one

vikram1984 12-16-2012 06:26 AM

Thank you!!!! Been missing the 35$ deals since I was at work and it would always expire quickly!! Was almost about to buy the 40$ deal recently..Thumbs up!

I did that same deal and it was $34.99, not $30. I don't think it has been 30 for the past 6 months.

chomdh 12-16-2012 07:26 AM

I'll bite. Just picked up borderlands 2 since it's been far too long since I have played a console FPS.

Thanks OP.

I got in on the $35 offer from TD via eBay on 12/7 and picked that up 3-4 hours after the deal was posted so it's not impossible. But an extra $3 isn't so bad, even if it always hurts a slickdealer to know that a better price will be out there somewhere, sometime. So enjoy those minutes (hours?) of your life that you'll get back now that you've made the purchase

beany323 12-16-2012 07:49 AM

thefoxman 12-16-2012 07:52 AM

Good find for those of us that pay tax on Tiger Direct. Repped!

s1lver 12-16-2012 08:09 AM

got one this time.

HerbStempel 12-16-2012 08:14 AM

+ ca tax, totals 41.31 for me. Not the best price, but I'm tempted. An extra 0.60 a month won't break me, and I can cross this off my list. What the heck, I've just talked myself into it. in for 1

cathwats 12-16-2012 08:52 AM

Thanks - in for1. My son just told me his was about to expire and I had passed up the previous $35 deals!

sleepybubba 12-16-2012 09:03 AM

So-so deal. The $34.99 deal from TD couple of days ago was a good deal, but I was too late (of course). I will wait for another $35 deal

BaconMode 12-16-2012 09:29 AM

Sick of missing $35 deals, in for one. Somewhere I have a 3 month card...I think...maybe. That's my backup if I can find it and my year subscription ends in like a month anyway.

76 cents in ebay bucks

FalconX 12-16-2012 09:44 AM

I wonder if the orders are going to get cancelled this time like the last time. I doubt they have that many in hand.

ctz 12-16-2012 09:54 AM

Tax in CA kills the deal. Will have to wait the deal from Tigerdirect.

well the card retails for 49.99 so this deal aint so bad really. I am in for 1. The charged me sales tax in nj so it came out to a little over 40 but still almost 10 bucks off is still a nice deal. ohh yea and the additional ebay bucks is cool.

GaryY5289 12-16-2012 10:48 AM

Limit 3.

jachammercyclin 12-16-2012 10:59 AM

Thanks OP - worth the extra $3 to not have to worry about it anymore. Plus the fact that I bought at $38 GUARANTEES that TigerDirect will dump more on Ebay at $35 for the rest of you some time in the next few days - you're all welcome!!! ;)

RedSChase 12-16-2012 10:59 AM

Just got an xbox for my sons - could a few of you experts help me out please?

I saw all those widgets on the dashboard. Will I need an xbox live gold membership to even access YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon video, etc... (on top of their individual fees of course)?

And for those services, am I going to have to buy "Microsoft points" to purchase a subscription or just use a credit card?

Thanks a lot for the help.

Edit: Looks like I might have found my answer: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/join

Seems I'd need it. Hmm...

You do need gold for the apps, and the subscriptions transfer from computer to Xbox. You sign in with an account just like on the PC, so I believe it is paid by a Credit Card.

I have an xbox with a recent year live subscription.

I just got another xbox for the kids. Should I get a separate live subscription for them?

I remember setting up an austere viewing restrictions all over and it bugs me everytime I'm the one watching xbox content.

Also when I'm playing games, if they don't sign in on my account, they don't get the extras etc. So although I have 4 profiles set up with their avatars, they want mine for the extra songs, and general online content, saves, etc. GRRR.

What is the best advice? Mty kids are 6 and 4 and they use the xbox a lot on playdates, so it's not like I have a couple of teenagers to justify a 4 account family account.

Any advice?

Frequently is such an exaggeration. It has been twice that I know of at $35 since Thanksgiving like one of the other posters mentioned. But hoarders / fleabayers clear them out pretty fast. I cannot remember the last time these were at $30 flat. Basically the point is no one should EVER pay more than $40 for these. Groupon is attempting to sell them for $45.

I tried to purchase, and since my PayPal has home address in Canada, Newegg eBay blocked me.
Thanks

If you're going to pay for two subscriptions anyways, why wouldn't you jump on a family pack? It's 4 accounts for the same price.

No and I am starting to panic.. It is one of my Christmas presents.. When I bought it - it was supposed to be here on 12/20.. They've sent me a tracking number (which you can find on your ebay account).. So I click the DHL link for the tracking and it says "no results found"..And on ebay's site it still has estimated delivery date 12/20..:(

I just contacted them to see what the deal is..

EXACT same problem here. I ordered 2 of them, both are a gift.

Mermaid 12-22-2012 10:43 AM

The price went back down to $37.99 with a delivery date of Dec. 28th. Guess my kids will be opening pictures of a Gold card on Christmas Day but their current subscriptions don't end for another month anyway.

Heya,

I contacted NewEgg via ebay and got a response from them last night.. They sent the correct tracking number, which was the same as the original but without the first 8 numbers.... Mine is already in my area post office.. it definitely won't be here before tomorrow.. what a shame.. : - (

Perhaps you can try omitting the first 8 numbers and try to plug those into DHL's website OR USPS' site.. The same tracking number works on both sites for me since I guess USPS will ultimately be the one to drop it off..

Here is DHL's website:

Thanks for the info... it was in my mailbox today. A little disappointing that they were late, and I have to take a small drive to give one of them I ordered to my nephew.

As a pleasant surprise...... I ordered and was charged for 2 of the xbox live cards, but there was 3 in my package!!!. I'm unsure how to check to see if all three have been activated- the first code that was for my son worked, now hoping the other 2 do.
