How can you fill out both rebates when they both require an original UPC? It also states you can use an "original proof of purchase seal". What is that?

Proof of purchase is a little flap inside the box.

You send the POP with the "upgrade rebate", and the original UPC with the "product rebate."

So if we are in the process of doing the last deal of the single you listed here http://slickdeals.net/f/5699056-T...r-Frys-com . Can we do this deal?

Yes should be fine, since those are totally different products and rebates.

Yes, they are entirely different Offer #'s, so you can get these as well.

Everyone should be fine on the Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 (3 User)... unless you bought it previously on a deal that wasn't a Money Maker where you had to fill out the upgrade rebate.

As I said in the OP, if you participated in the late October Money Maker on Trend Micro Maximum Security Premium 2013 (5 User), forget that one. Although it really shouldn't matter right now, since it's OOS for shipping anyways.

Now the $69.99 one shows 'in store only'. Annoying.

ETA: And now the other one is back-ordered. I think Fry's watches your posts, OP, and moves things in and out of stock accordingly. Bought the back ordered one, here's to hoping.

Not as fast as Norton, IMHO...but I got my $65 from the 5-user in a somewhat timely manner. Still waiting on my "upgrade" rebate for $45.

The upgrade & the regular MIR requires valid or original UPC codes. so you can not submit both the rebates at the same time.

I dont know have the box yet but you know where the Trend Micro is written in front of the box, check the left hand or right corner. When you open the box, it should be one of those small flaps

Did you get a confirmation email when you submitted? Just track it through the link in the email. You can trust parago, atleast you can talk with them about the problem and rectify it! Mine has been mailed out it seems (both rebates)1

I can confirm it's back in stock, I just ordered one. By the way, can you buy both products and submit all 4 rebates if you didn't participate this year in any other Trend Micro rebate, or do you need to choose one of the 2 products? Sorry, I'm new to the rebates stuff,,,

Back stock, baby!

mrtrance 12-19-2012 04:00 PM

Will I still be eligible for the $60 rebate for the TM Internet Security 3 user if I did the Office Depot one back in September? Since it's same product and rebate amount, but different store can I do it again? At that time I did not do the upgrade rebate.

Update: Nevermind. That was a totally different product. In one for 1.

mrtrance 12-19-2012 04:17 PM

Quick question regarding Trend Micro and the rebates. If I got in on the October one for the Premium Security 5 user can I still do the Internet Security 3 user rebates? Does TM limit per quarter or anything like that or as long as the offers are different and for different products we are good to go?

Starrx05 12-19-2012 04:21 PM

Has anyone tried sending rebate to an address different from the one on your invoice?

Yes, you can. Trend Micro doesn't enforce any quarterly limit. The only no-no is submitting a rebate with the same Offer Code more than one time per household. You could even submit for the same product more than once per quarter, as long as you are buying from different retailers, since Offer Codes would be different for Newegg, Fry's, OfficeDepot, etc.

bb182 12-19-2012 04:39 PM

I just asked about the upgrade requirements (for the 3 user one) through their web chat. The agent said that I would need send the "original CD from the previous software" when asked if a photocopy of the CD was acceptable. Also Norton Ghost qualifies as any Norton product.

I submitted a photocopy of a Norton CD for the last TM upgrade rebate I did in October and rebate was approved with no problems. I think you should good with just sending them a photocopy of the CD. The agents just reads what is on the rebate form.

Ok thanks for that info.

So again with these rebates it's best to wait like 7-10 days after we submit the regular rebate before submitting the upgrade rebates. I waited about a week before submitting the upgrade for the TM Premium Security 2013 5 user and it worked out fine. Both the regular and upgrade rebates were approved and processed.

I guess there is no online submission at this time for the $60 rebate for the TM Internet Security 3 user.

The UPC is the bar code and POP is the round one. The Trend Micro is just like Bitdefender and has the POP at the top flap.

The UPC goes with one rebate and POP goes into the other. REad the rebate terms carefully as the POP may also need a copy of the UPC.

Yeah, I would advise to wait 7 to 10 days to submit the upgrade rebate. You just want to ensure the product rebate processes first, so you don't have any risk, in the highly unlikely scenario that they would deny a rebate on some bogus grounds.

Also, PC-cillin is the old product name for Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security or Trend Micro Maximum Security.

They changed over a couple of years ago. As long as you have a previous year version of those titles (2012 or earlier), you can submit them for the upgrade rebate.

jonnyrybz 12-19-2012 06:40 PM

I purchased the FAR McAfee Int. Security last month, which has no disk, manual, email confirm... Will the Quick Start guide (which contains the Product Key) suffice? It doesn't really fall into any of the categories listed...

Does TITAMIUM ESD ANTIVIRU 2012 counts as stand-alone version of Trend Micro PC-cillin?

I have a download version, then the email confirmation is good?
Otherwise, in case I have to use a Norton product, should I send the real CD or just a copy?

Photocopy of CD is sufficient (not the actual copy). I've done this many times successfully. HTH

alex_ro 12-19-2012 08:13 PM

Quick questions.

1. I know that rebates are usually one per product/name/address/year or quarter. Does the same apply to these upgrade rebates? That is you can submit several as long as they are for different products even if they are all from Frys, right?

2. For the upgrade they require proof of some pre-existing product (the options were enumerated above). Does it have to be an older version of that product or can it be the 2013 version of say Norton that I also ordered from Frys?

netll 12-19-2012 08:21 PM

Does Trend Micro have the mcafee-like policy that only one product per year is eligible for the rebate, even if the rebate number is different?

The $60 and $70 rebate both mention -
"limit one rebate per promotion, per product version, per name, address, household or company"

Ok, then yes.

peppermint 12-19-2012 10:43 PM

Thanks OP, I had missed the last thread, ordered both.

Frys put both the items, Kaspersky and TM from the previous thread on 14th on b/o.

Thaineseguy 12-20-2012 12:19 AM

Kaspersky doesn't qualify as a competitor item?

Lostwarriorram 12-20-2012 03:05 AM

Are these perpetual license? Meaning, can I update my virus definitions forever?

adamant 12-20-2012 03:39 AM

These are still good right? Your other thread has them listed as good until 1/3/12. I'm going to go edit that.

adamant 12-20-2012 05:57 AM

It should probably be noted that the purchase dates for the upgrade rebate are until 12/31, not 1/3.

Right, and there's no guarantee that the product price won't change. Fry's could see the high number of purchases of these titles and decide to jack it up $5 or $10 for the following week.

Its only guaranteed pricing if its in the new Friday Ad, which we won't see until tonight.

The Kaspersky PURE 2.0 3 User and Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 1 User are the only guaranteed money makers through tonight.

TMTIS 2013 1 User has a continuing rebate until 12/27, but again, unless its in the new Friday ad, its not guaranteed FAR.

I would say its pretty likely that both titles in this thread, plus Kaspersky AV 2013 3 User will be in the ad since their rebates started the 19th, along with Nero 12 and Nero 12 Premium, Bitdefender and a couple Norton products.

Frys lists wrong rebate valid dates all the time, both Trend micro upgrades are good from 9/12/12 to 3/31/13, (try presubmit then you will see the valid dates) so if you bought these, you will not be able to do upgrade rebates till 4/1/13

I just played it safe and ordered them today.

Will it (5 user) work if I have done a 3 user version of the product (Maximum Security 3 User) in May 2012?

I have mcafee on my laptop right now but looking to get a 2013 protection software. Anyway, problem is I don't have proof that I purchased mcafee before.
downloaded but it don't have the email confirmation. Is there anything else I can use to be able to take advantage of both rebates?

madshakes 12-20-2012 07:32 PM

For Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 (3 User), on the rebate it says limit one rebate per product version. So if I did the Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 (1 User) rebate from a few days back, can I still do this one?

ugh.. so confused... need help.

1. Trend Micro Maximum Security Premium 2013 (5 User)
LINK [frys.com]

Item Price: $69.99
$70 Mail-In Rebate [frys.com] - Product Rebate
$45 Mail-In Rebate [frys.com] - Upgrade Rebate (For previous owners of stand-alone versions of Trend Micro, Norton, or McAfee products)
AR Cost: $45 Money Maker

So you can just buy this one and make $45 if all the rebates are processed right?
You do not need to be a previous owner of McAfee or anything right?

2. How many of these money makers can you jump on?
This is my first time submitting rebate for fry's this quarter... or actually this year

Sorry for noob questions and thanks in advance :D

No, they are not perpetual licenses to my knowledge.

They are one year licenses, that you can install on X number of PCs.

After that one year, you will have to either buy the new version (2014) or pay Trend Micro to continue receiving antivirus updates.

The upgrade rebates are valid once per quarter on this specific software, or on any variations of Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security?

For example, if I did the rebate for "Titanium Antivirus 3 user" at Fry’s a week ago, would I still be eligible to get both the upgrade rebates in this thread?

dggo12 12-21-2012 04:01 PM

New to this, looking at the rebate it says any older version of Trend Micro PC-cillin. What's this PC-cillin, I've few CDs from 2012 Trend Micro products, will those qualify for upgrade rebate or Trend Micro PC-cillin is a specific software from Trend Micro. TIA

The upgrade rebates are valid one-time per quarter, per retailer, per title.

Each specific product has a different Offer # and their own Quarter 4 2012 upgrade rebate offer.

For example, if you got Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 (1 User) and Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 (3 User), each would have it's own upgrade rebate offer #.

To answer your question, yes, if you did the Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus 2013 (3 User) from a week ago, you will still be eligible for both of these upgrade rebates, as they are different products and different offer #'s.

As I said in the OP, the Trend Micro Maximum Security Premium 2013 (5 User) had a previous Money Maker almost identical to this one in late October. If you already participated in that one, you will not be able to do the money maker upgrade rebate on this one. You can however, purchase the software and send in the product rebate, if you want it Free.

A little hesitant

Did the October rebate "allow" for photo copies. Clearly these upgrade rebates state they want the disk, or the original page from the manual. Let us know.

They usually get in software shipments on Fridays, so it may be back in-stock by this Friday. If not this week, most likely next.

The rebates are valid for 30 days after the purchase date... so you shouldn't have any issues claiming them. If it doesn't ship out with 20 days (highly unlikely), you always have the option to cancel the back-order.

Yeah, they do. Usually 12 to 14 weeks after you send it in.

At least they send checks and not prepaid cards with all those non-sense fees.

They were kinda cool at first, but when you have 80 prepaid cards with small amounts like $5 or $7... it gets kinda old. Plus most of the cards charge usage fees starting after 3 to 6 months... which can be hard to keep track of.

If you use them for Redbox rentals... every time you use a code, you put a temporary authorization on the card that doesn't fall off for a while. I remember one time, I used a prepaid card to rent a Redbox movie and then I noticed that the prepaid card had to be fully used within 3 months, otherwise usage fees of $2 or $3 per month were taken out.

Well.. I think I used the Prepaid Card at Redbox at like 2 months and 3 weeks or something and the pending authorization didn't fall off until after the 3 month mark. I was able to clear out everything else on the card but the $1.29 Redbox pre-authorization fee. When the fee did finally drop off... the bank took that money as a fee since it was past 3 months.

I've never used AMEX Sync, but I know you can use AMEX Serve to get the value off of most Visa and MasterCard Prepaid Debit Cards. That won't work with AMEX Prepaid Cards though.

matt48 12-27-2012 02:46 AM

I notice on the rebate form there are 2 requirements that need to be mailed in in order to get the rebate:

1. This completed rebate form
2. Proof of product purchase from Titanium Internet Security 3 user. Hand-written or altered documents will not be accepted.

Please provide: (A) Valid* UPC code (cut from the package, no photocopies will be accepted), AND (B) A copy of your conrmation email OR dated invoice/sales receipt. * A valid UPC begins with the numbers 733199, all other UPC do not qualify.

My question is does the rebate form has to be typed ie Name, Address, Zip Code etc since on line 2 it says hand written materials will not be accepted. Or does that line refers to the barcode only?

Did anyone submit the rebate form with a hand written name, address filled out and get the rebate back successfully?

Yeah, you can do that without any additional fees.

I would not add all of the card balances at once though.

You can only have 4 debit cards linked in your Serve account at any one time. If you add 4 cards, and then wipe them clean by loading the funds to Serve... and then delete the cards and add new ones to your Serve Account.... they may draw some red-flags in their system and cause your account to get locked.

Trust me... you don't want to have to go through the verification process and deal with the long hold times to get it "un-locked".

I would advise doing small batches of card loading, every few days.

So, for example, add a couple of cards today, and load the balance onto the Serve account. Wait a day or two... and delete a couple cards, add some new ones and load their funds.

What I wouldn't do is do all 10 in one day and then immediately do a withdrawal to your bank account. That's what I'm getting at.

At some point, yeah, it should. But they take forever updating their forms online.

I almost always just use Acrobat Pro XI (or an alternative program) to fill out the forms instead of waiting on them.

dragonkid 12-27-2012 10:29 AM

Please provide: (A) Valid* UPC code or the original proof of purchase seal
(no photocopies will be accepted), AND (B) A copy of your confirmation email OR dated invoice/sales receipt . * A valid UPC begins with the numbers 733199, all other UPC do not qualify. Proof of
prior ownership of a retail (boxed or downloaded) stand-alone version of Trend Micro PC-cillin, or any Norton™ or McAfee™ product, byproviding one of the following: product CD, product disk (disk
1 only), title page of owner’s manual from a retail purchase, or the email confirmation for a download purchase.

Where is the original proof of purchase seal?

billyloon 12-27-2012 12:51 PM

The rebate form says "1 rebate per product version." This is not clear to me. I have seen McAfee not honor the rebate for the same product even with a different rebate offer code. Based on the way the rebate form is worded, it seems to me like Trend Micro is not obligated to honor the rebate (even with a different rebate offer code) if this exact same product has been purchased for rebate in the past. For example, if a user submitted a rebate for Trend Micro Internet Security 2013 - 3-user in October 2012 on rebate offer code #ABC123, and then the same user submitted a rebate for Trend Micro Internet Security 2013 - 3-user in December 2012 on rebate offer code #XYZ456, then the #XYZ456 rebate would be declined...

Yeah, that should work fine. Last Trend Micro Update rebate, I used the User Guide first page of Norton 2001 and that was no problem. Just either scan a copy of the disc or use the user guide your disc come with. Very easy but you will have to be patience because it will take a while.

For Trend Micro, only the upgrade rebate required the CD. Or if you download a previous version, you just need to submit a proof of the invoice that you purchased a copy and download it online.

Only time the CD would not work if was a OEM CD, trial CD, etc that you got for free.

Do we need to pre-register for these rebates?

madshakes 12-27-2012 07:15 PM

Damn, stupid me forgot to sign the rebate form. Just realized it after I put it in the mailbox. Anyone else ever do that? You think they'll invalidate it?

Thanks again. You are a real slickdealer.

Does anyone know if you submit one upgrade in December and the other in January if they might both go through?

Janerl 12-27-2012 08:12 PM

Got in on the 5-user one, first time doing an upgrade rebate. If I do both, is there anything to stop me from using a photocopy of the same McAfee CD for each of the upgrade rebates?

dharmatma 12-27-2012 08:18 PM

The pdf for the titanium upgrades says proof of purchase is either a original upc or proof of purchase. However, if u pre submit then the final page lists both original upc and proof of purchase requirements. Im not sure if the same has happened before but i hope this wont be a problem. In any case i went ahead and attached the copy of upc bar code along with cut out of "proof of purchase" from the side flap.

Nopes... I have a bundle of mcafee scans lying in a corner that were scanned from same cd and have already yielded a lot of free cash :). The kas upgrade rebates are turning pretty heavy, around 1.08 oz. i guess will have to make a trip to PO to get the correct postage on them :(

The online pre-submission always says AND, instead of OR, which is another reason why I never do it online.

You would think Parago would correct it... but they never have. It's been that way for months.

The correct requirements are on the physical form, which say OR.

Obviously if you are submitting both rebates, the original UPC can't be with 2 forms at once. You should be fine with only sending the Proof of Purchase for the upgrade rebate.

Thanks. Thats what i thot it to be. If they raise any issue then i will just point them to the physical form which i used as my basis to make the purchase. Hopefully they will not add up and wise up ;)

Haha, indeed. ;)

In the future, I'd just suggest doing the physical form. You never know what kind of anally retentive rebate processor might do if it says "AND" instead of "OR".

I mean how would you like to look at nothing but rebate forms all day? :D

For what it's worth, I took a chance and did both online anyways from a previous deal based on a couple comments in that thread. Both of my rebates were approved yesterday. I agree with TDM though, you will always be taking a chance of having your rebate disqualified based on the wording.

Yeah and i guess the real fun or even incentive for these processor guys will be to reject rebates! Physical forms appear to be too much work. Dont trust my hand writing and foxit pdf reader way looks like lot of work. Parago is not hosting the rebate forms for titanium 3 and 5 users, so had to do them thru physical forms. However, the upgrade rebates for the same are hosted!

Yeah, the upgrade rebates are hosted because they have been out since September.

It usually takes Parago (RebatesHQ) a couple of weeks to get the new physical forms updated on the site so that you can pre-register online.

I typically can't wait that long because I'm impatient... so I just send them out using the physical forms, filled with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI's text tools.

I just purchased the following:

Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus 2013- 3 PCs
Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013- 3 PCs
Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security Premium 2013 Multi Device
Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013-1 PC
Kaspersky Antivirus 2013-3 PCs

Am I missing any other money maker upgrade deals? Also, I would like to do another order for all of the same products, but using a family member's CC (different billing address). However, I want to have my address for the shipping address for both orders. Could this lead to one set of rebates being disqualified? Thanks!

Thanks. So the one's that got approved yesterday were done online and the same AND appeared on those pre sub forms?
I still haven't mailed out nothing. If it indeed cud be trouble then i will just swap the physical forms with the pre subs.

Yes. On my pre-registered upgrade printout form for mailing, it specifically said both UPC AND Proof of Purchase. Not "OR". So it's up to you whether you want to take that chance. I never liked to hand write rebate forms because I hate my writing style and for one time the rebate check came back with my name misprinted and the bank gave me grieve before accepting the deposit. I'm sure it's the same for this one too. I haven't started doing both rebates yet.

If you have Adobe Acrobat, you can use it to form fill. I didn't know until earlier today when TDMVP suggested it.

Presubmission forms always give a big list of required enclosures. I've always been fine so long as I stuck to the terms of the hand fillable form for the same offer. Not worried about it at all.

I dont like hand writing either coz of the same concerns. If it comes to it then what do is use the 3m labels. I have printed a stack of them and generally use them for return address section on envelopes. For physical forms i fill them out but also stick one of these 3m labels that repeats the same info in much more legible manner. This has so far made sure i get the checks issued correctly. With TM it will not matter much since these are pre paid visa's. But correct address will still be an issue without 3m labels or using adobe pro.

Thanks. Thats what i thot. As long as there is another rebate form out there that lists the correct requirements, it shudnt be a problem IMO. One email will validate if at all the rebate gets invalidated.

If and when you run out of those pre printed one, you can always use Foxit Reader or Foxit writer to type your into into the pdf. It's free and it's what I always use. Very easy to use and not complicated like adobe.

Caveat Emptor!

Guys, please be aware of the following:

For the Trend Micro rebates it clearly states under restrictions that there is "only one rebate per qualifying purchase" and additionally "It is illegal to submit multiple rebate requests for the same product purchased". Not to mention, at Fry's retail stores they indicate on the price tag in big, bold lettering that only one rebate applies.

I was just about to grab 1 copy of every MM deal (5 total) until I saw this. Very clear and straightforward, submitting multiple rebates, i.e. full rebate + competitive rebate for the same product is illegal and it is up to the sole discretion of Trend Micro to act on this provision.

Take other member's success with this with a grain of salt. This applies only to the Trend Micro, I don't see any problem with the terms in the Kaspersky rebates.

I think that the fact that the full rebate and upgrade rebate allow for different proof of purchase submissions is a good indication that they allow both rebates to be submitted.

That is referring to using the same receipt to get two rebates under the same offer number. You cannot submit the receipt twice for the same offer number (even if you use a different address and have an extra Original UPC).

Your purchase date is good but you need to make sure you send it in by the post mark deadline. Usually 30 days from the purchase date. THERE'S NO WAY TO GET YOUR REBATE IF YOU MISS THIS DEADLINE! If your package comes after the deadline, contact Frys customer service.

Hey superocean or TDMVP73,

In your experience, how long does it take for back orders? I can make it but, if I want to try that tdmvp73 trick, send the first one then, the upgrade, 8-12 days later. I might get f...ed, on this one...or, i'll eagle stalk the mailman all month then run to the P.O. and get it hand stamped

I'm not sure about back orders or delayed media mailed packages so I can't speak to that. For the upgrade rebates, I have always sent them in at the same time and had no trouble with them. The less time you have the more likely you are to make a mistake, so get your ducks in a row ready for the process.

Fill out the rebates, get the envelope ready, scan your submissions, and when your item arrives, cut out the upc, pop and scan them. Then make sure you have the right pop upc in the right envelope then wait a few hours, walk away from the rebates then come back and read the instructions and double check your work. Then mail them.

ballershanelle 12-29-2012 10:07 PM

Wait until Frys put up Corel Sony or pinnacle video editing software at the same time. Buy at least 2 of those and use each one to qualify for the other's upgrade rebate. Then use one of those to get the Nero for free.

Hope your charging these on a cash back rewards card.

I have until, 1/3/13 to purchase the nero12! Ill know what to look for in the future, if frys doesnt post in time. I'll check other sites, too. Now, these titles are new to me. But, FAR is the only incentive I'll need to try it out. I do a cashback card and bbuy rewards at times. you are a lifesaver...

If you are opening the top of the box, there are two little flaps on the right and left side. One of them will say "Proof of Purchase" on it.

Can someone please help me do the upgrade rebate.... (i don't have any older antivirus)

I think someone mentioned that i need a copy of an OLDER antivirus CD cover.
Is that right?

So i guess i need 2 different copies of some older CD cover.

you try to scam the manufacturer and you don't even know how to print... trust me this deal is above your league, your rebates will fail for some other reasons

filing the upgrade rebate is not a scam. upgrade rebates are incentive for consumer to try out their products. If I have to go through uninstalling and installing a software and risk the stability of my PC, someone ought to pay me to do it.

What software did you buy? You should post a scan to help others in return. Post a pinnacle scan? Post a sony vegas or roxio creator scans, trend?

purchase and do the work.

Usually, people dont boldly ask for a cheat but you got a response. I hope you are not just, a taker and then, disappear...

What's your problem? This thread is about TRend micro and it seems the poster needed some proof for upgrade rebate, he asked and he got it. If you want some scans, you ask and if any one in the forum has it, will surely help you!

u do know the disc have indie numbers from each other? If and when, the rebate programing does input/track ALL discs number, ALL will be invalidated. Its not wise, to start the practice, especially on SDeals, where many are quick to follow things to a, T. Many will take the hit.

Actually, y not have OP post up his purchased UPC code/invoice. ALL do a pdf text change and just print the UPC unto card stock and submit. Validation for all until luck stops with a system protocol. Noone has to buy....right? Wrong, I dont advise, cheating.

This is SD, not schemedeals, yet! I know many are trying to move it that way! atleast, PM on the hush, hush.

There's almost no reason to cheat on rebates if you are on SD. TDMVP, BPVH and I constantly post free software deals that would let you get in on these money makers as they come up. There's tons of AV, IS and utilies suites all through out the year and few times a year you can get free video editing too.

Upgrade Proof

The upgrade proof requirements for both TMIS and TMPS is:

Proof of prior ownership of a retail (boxed or downloaded) stand-alone version of Trend Micro PC-cillin, or any Norton™ or McAfee™ product, byproviding one of the following: product CD, product disk (disk 1 only), title page of owner’s manual from a retail purchase, or the email confirmation for a download purchse.

Now typos (originating on the rebate forms) aside, I've italicized and bolded the part about downloaded software.

As it happens I bought some download TM ESD 2012 back in April 2012, and I of course still have the email confirmations (it actually shows the unique License/Activation Key for the six copies I bought).

So, anyone have any thoughts on using this email to comply with the proof of prior ownership requirements on the upgrade rebate? In theory I think it should work, I'm just wondering if anyone has already gone down this path and what their experience was.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

TIA.

The numbers at the bottom of the disc are not unique. They are merely product codes, specific to each software manufacturer. As such, I doubt the rebate processor tracks them.

However, if you need something like that... in the future, please PM somebody before posting it in the open like that. It's nice that the rebate companies allow us to use photocopies of discs in the first place for upgrade rebates.

You never know who's watching on SD... and if we openly abuse it, they may start to crackdown. I, for one, like my money makers.... and I would hate to see restrictions that prevent us from taking advantage of them in the future. :)

ballershanelle 01-05-2013 08:07 AM

Hey, what exactly did u read/comprehend from my statement??? I said, "to not cheat!"

actually, u saying, the indie codes may not be unique, did not help, your very own statement, to not cheat or mine. I gave a very clear example of y not to scheme. You definitely, replied to the wrong person, plus, verifying info. People will do whatever, so, i said, "keep it on the hush", out of warning not agreement.Smh

I think the majority of >US< appreciate, you and the others, that post A\V FARS and help, but your comprehesion failed here. I had hoped, the light hearted response would tip the first guy to not ask for copies maybe, jib him by calling him a taker. A received the right response, from someone else, particularily, saying,["what's my problem"...]. Yes, I do take issue with copies or scheming and I gave a serious, post thereafter. Clearly, one needs to be direct. Buy the A\V content and do your own work.

wow, maybe u should delete your response. I may need to remove my, first jibbing one...clearly, a misunderstanding.

Did anyone else notice that the "upgrade" rebates promotion end date now extends until 3/31/2013?

I looked at rebate numbers: 12-22948 & 12-22952

Just a heads-up.

Proof of purchase is a little flap inside the box.

You send the POP with the "upgrade rebate", and the original UPC with the "product rebate."

it would be very helpful, if you can post a picture of it or can u say how it looks?

Yes, I noticed that a couple of weeks ago. Be very careful this quarter if you're participating in a Money Maker or FAR deal that involves Trend Micro.

There are a couple of Trend Micro titles still eligible for MM deals this quarter since there weren't any last quarter on them.

Although this is not the exact same title, here is where the proof of purchase will be located. (top flap of the box)
