Let it die

myamex 12-19-2012 02:04 PM

I won't even buy it at $84...

cbe_bharani 12-19-2012 02:05 PM

what is your problem with the deal

wobly 12-19-2012 02:23 PM

I have the 64GB Playbook and love it! It does what I need it to do when I need it to do it. If you don't like it, fine. Buy something else. For those of us that DO like them, this is a great deal!

wizard7926 12-19-2012 03:42 PM

I love my PlayBook, but this is still a little steep for a 64GB.

BTW, for those saying it's dead or let it die - it's going to get the new BB10 operating system next year for free. Can't wait! :)

jezzdogg 12-19-2012 03:46 PM

I will believe in the new operating system for blackberry when i see it. Company is on the verge of bankruptcy. To think a few years ago they had a majority of the wireless phone market. Did not keep up with the times and got passed by apple and android. Lots of better tablets out there

jbloggs 12-19-2012 03:47 PM

Its not a bad price for 64GB. the 32GB are still selling for $200 on CL.

Yes, $2.07 billion in cash on the balance sheet and no debt. I wish I could be so bankrupt. Keep listening to what the media is feeding you.

Yeah for sure, got a 64 gb from cowboom for $150 and it came with everything basically in a new package with accessories not even open. Just waiting for a fluid OS 10 and life will be perfect. Multitasking beast....

Lol amen! Where do people get off saying they are on the verge of bankruptcy when they are no where near owing a penny to anyone??

AvidBuyer 12-19-2012 09:22 PM

fk thats exactly how much I spent on my 16gb a year ago.

A few years ago they were worth 150+ a share. Now at 13 a share, even if they aren't going bankrupt, they sure don't have the business and market share in the grand scheme of things. I've been in cellular for 5 years and at my high volume store have sold probably 5 Blackberries in the last 6 months.

They also haven't released a new flagship device in longer than that time(over a year). Hopefully with BB10 we see a different trend. We need a 3rd contender, apple and android can't hold the entire market. As consumers, that's bad news for us.

So $150 is price point to beat. Can someone explain benefit of having one of these guys and a BB smartphone?

If you have a PlayBook AND a BlackBerry smartphone, then you can bridge your BlackBerry to your PlayBook and use your smartphones data on the PlayBook for free. It also allows you to text from your Playbook. It syncs your email, calendar, memos and tasks as well. It's pretty awesome and has come in handy several times when I needed internet on my PlayBook I just turn on the bluetooth on both devices and I'm good to go.

xxx000xxx 12-20-2012 05:40 AM

actually it's brand new but opened box. but still a good price.

smstriker 12-24-2012 09:35 PM

Not a bad deal for a 64 GB tablet that you can put Android on... I would be in if I already didn't have 4 tablets.
