lol groupon gives out mlb.com's number for customer service and when I called to ask about the restrictions, mlb.com had no idea about this and called it possible fraud. i was like: have you ever heard of groupon? and they were like no.

Can confirm this is legit. Found it listed on Groupon's site (had to find it manually so I could get cashback) and plugged the code into the MLB site to test it. Now to wait for them to offer 20% or 25% off again so I can order a new blue David Wright jersey... boo on them for charging a $15 premium over other stores for the new jerseys. Thanks OP!

As stated above wait for a while - $20 is not a great deal unless you're looking at a closeout jersey. They frequently offer 25% off or more. I try not to pay more than $70-75 for a jersey that is normally $100. They had 40% for Black Friday but that's the only time it ever goes that high.

I absolutely hate how often they send emails about their 25% limited time sale. I finally unsubscribed after years of abuse.

I suppose part of the reason I lean toward jerseys is on the off chance that I ever get one of them autographed. I've also hung them as a display as part of my "team shrine". I just find the jerseys more versatile than keeping around a bunch of the t shirts. I also don't wear t shirts much but am a big enough geek to wear a jersey for a day when I feel like it.

You pay $20 for a voucher that is wothr $40. Some replica jerseys are priced at 62.97. Minus 20 at MLB= $42.97- which your voucher is worth 40 of. So cost at MLB is 2.97. But remember you paid $20 at groupon. Add the two together and it costs you 22.97 out of pocket.

The search function is available to me in some US cities, but not Toronto. Is there anything I am missing? To jump on the jersey topic. I always hated the fact that you pay a lot for something and cross your fingers you get some years out of it. I am in New England, so i thought about it and bought a Manny jersey for cheap when he was on the Sox team. Though i played it smart and it doesn't have his name on the back since it is the home jersey. Though Sox fans know this is also Dwight Evans number and now i can play it off as a Dewy jersey, who knows someday they will retire his number at Fenway. I do have a blank jersey too and i do wear it sometimes. You can buy number and names on ebay if you want to add it. I was thinking at one time i was going to get a Varitek kit.

I have a Wes Welker jersey too, bought that for $30, NFL licensed, just lower quality ones. Bought that as soon as he signed that long contract a few years ago. Got my money out of that. If he gets traded I think i would opt for a Brady jersey since he will be a HOF at sometime and that jersey will be good for a long time.

My tip, buy MLB jersey with no name on it, look up some some old players that used that number and go with that.

read the fine print on your order. It has to say guaranteed shipping on it to get it by Christmas. Most of them all say in stock leaves warehouse in 5 days. Fine print on that is leaves the warehouse in 5 days, then whatever shipping you choose kicks in.

Be aware, if you need your order within 30 days of placing it, don't count on it arriving on time. 2 years in a row now MLB has dropped the ball on a Christmas present order for me. I placed the most recent order on 11/21 and scheduled arrival changes almost daily when tracking my order. Currently scheduled for 1/7 - 1/10. Nope, no thanks. Never again.

The mastercard code is not unique. It is MASTER10, but does not work on all teams. Only emails I got about that code were Cubs and Red Sox so it works with them, but does not work on the Braves stuff I want. May work with other teams.

got a question. In the fine print, it says " Discount does not apply to shipping, handling, gift wrapping, gift cards or taxes". So does that mean the groupon discount cannot be combined with gift cards?

That means the total price of $40 needs to be a merchandise total and not include any gift cards in the order total. You can use gift cards to pay, along with the Groupon voucher and other promo codes. They mean that gift cards and s&h costs will not apply to your $40 total.

Well, there business model isn't the greatest. Since they are on year 2 of giving their $80 memberships away from free I suppose they are trying to do anything they can to survive...

Most of us went to cashback sites and then used ShopRunner, many times on $3 items. They probably lost money every time that happened. If they at least have the link that goes to the site, they get the cashback to help them someone make money.

With that said, I'm sure their are websites that give them a cut just for using the shop runner. But when I'm receiving something in the mail that costs $4 to ship 2 day, yet, my order total was $2.25, I know somebody is losing out, and it isn't me.

Hi does anyone know what MLBshop's return policy is (I'm using Shoprunner)? I want to order a Rays hat but I'm not 100% sure if I wear 7"1/4 or 7"3/8.

Or, better yet, does anyone know if Lids still lets you trade-in the official on-field hats as long as the stickers are there? I've bought a hat from New Era before and traded it in for a different team that way.

If you used the groupOn deal and need to make a return, you are screwed. I ordered two hats and a shirt. One of the hats is way too big. I looked over their return policy and you cannot exchange an item. You re-order the item, return the original, eventually get credit.

The problem comes from how they invoice the items. My total was $46 - $40 groupOn voucher for a total of $6. My invoice shows me paying $2.50 for one hat, $2.50 for a shirt, and $1.00 for the hat I need to return. I called their customer service # and explained the situation. I was told if I returned the hat, I would only be credited $1 and they can do nothing else to help.

That's a bummer. I think I'll stick to buying MLB hats that I can return to Lids then. I just went into their store at the mall today and confirmed that I can exchange the official on-field hats as long as they have their stickers. He also said the ones with the 2012 postseason badge will be fine to exchange too, which is great as those only cost $17 after the 25% discount. I got the postseason hat in the correct size, even though it's a team I don't like, just in case he's wrong!

I bought some items (hats and Tshirt) this morning and used a Groupon code. Was prompted to login to Shoprunner with a little icon next to shipping. All's well that ends well.

Decided that went so well I'd buy another Groupon and order a World Series sweatshirt. No Shoprunner available for this order! No login icon. Opened Shoprunner's site and logged in from there, then followed link back to mlb.com. Still no dice.

There's a little line that says something like "Not all items are eligible for Shoprunner - click here to see why". I clicked there, and it brought up some reasons like "it depends on where it's shipped from; where it's being shipped to", etc.

Anybody else have this happen? This time I was ordering a Giants WS "Legacy of Champions" hoodie.
