Amazon warehouse deals has it for $6.57 in very good condition. In for one! This is definitely in my top five for greatest films of all time. I might even have to put it number 1.

"Shotty" isn't a word. "Shoddy" is the word you're looking for. Sorry, but your horrid English dragged me out of lurkdom. Cue the anti-grammar nazis.

motifman22 12-21-2012 04:23 PM

FYI:

"In stock on December 26, 2012.

Ordering for Christmas? This item will arrive after December 25."

Great deal either way.

pfft. You aren't worthy of a nazi response. Shotty is clearly portmanteau.

my mission here is complete :) the word was originally with an i in it, but didn't want to be that vulgar.

TetterkeT 12-21-2012 05:04 PM

Why would anyone buy this movie when they can just turn on the TV every 10 seconds and its on?

I believe you mean "shoddy" [merriam-webster.com] or perhaps "snotty." "Snooty?" [blogspot.com]

SuperJew 12-21-2012 05:05 PM

When I saw "book packaging" I thought it would be a bible with cute little blu ray cutouts inside ^_^

If I didn't have to deal with Texans who want to "succeed" from the Union, and a friend who commented that I put something on a "pedestool" yesterday, then maybe I would be more laid back. However, as is my tolerance is nil. Carry on. :worship:

I think $8 for a blu ray beats $XY/month for cable.

BC it's always edited and in crap quality. It's $8 for (IMO) the best movie ever. It's also Bluray. A huge difference

The only movie I'm willing to shell an extra $3 from the usual 5 dollar limit I place on blu-rays.

It's widescreen not cinemascope so if you're a diehard fan you'll end up re buying this in the future

ayobonus 12-22-2012 08:33 PM

I thought this was originally shot in 1.85:1, not cinemascope.

I wonder how this movie would have been if the first choice for lead that they selected was available, Tom Hanks. He was doing Cast Away so couldn't accept the role.
