The site sucks and is VERY VERY slow if it doesn't time out.

As of 10pm EST expect to spend an hour or more just trying to get an account created. You can't order until you've verified your email address. Best bet here is to hope the server slows down overnight and nobody at Gamersgate is working the weekend.

Here is what I did to get the Steam keys:

1. Gift the collection (single item) to your email address (it can be the same one as you used to create your account on gamersgate.com).
2. Click on the link at the bottom of the email.
3. If you are still logged in to gamersgate.com it will tell you it will add those games to your account on gamersgate.com.
4. After you accept, click on "All games..." under "My shelf" in "My Library" on the left side of the page of gamersgate.com and all your games will be there.
5. Click on each game and click on the "Show Serial Key" button on the right side of the screen.
6. Cut and past the key in to Steam (on Steam, Games -> Activate a Product on Steam). You will then have the game in your Steam account.
7. Go to step 5 for each game you want to add to Steam.

Looks like the keys to several of the games have currently run out, but it appears that they will be getting new keys (mid-January arrival date) for those who purchased this collection.

When you tried to place an order, if the last thing you did was "wait for a confirmation email" because you needed to create a new account, but you never received this email, you may still be able to get in on this deal. Log in to your account and go to "My Account -> Account Settings -> Account Information", there should be a button at the top to resend the verification email. Once you get the email click on the link to verify. You should then be able to continue with your existing order (pay with Paypal, etc.) for the discounted price (I don't remember the exact steps to continue the order, I think I just had to log in to the account, but you may need to select the order in your "Order History".) Note that I did this BEFORE they ran out of keys and removed the collection from being sold, so YMMV.

Update 1/25/13:

Steam keys that were promised to arrive by mid-January are now available!!

If you have any of the games from this bundle in your Library on gamersgate.com [gamersgate.com] that did not have Steam keys, you should go there now to get them, as they were just made available!

I completed checkout about a half hour ago. It appears that they are all separate keys, because it gives you the option to gift individual games from the bundle. Can't get into my shelf right now to confirm though.

Because the site is crap and doesn't work. So people give it thumbs down for unable to replicate hoping the thread drops below the threshhold for most SD users and maybe the site comes back up.

BTW, in case anyone was wondering, it looks like GamersGate applied the scheduled discount to the collection twice. It was supposed to be on sale for 70% off, and after applying the discount, it's taking off an additional 70% on top of that. That's how you end up with 91% off. They've done this in the past (Walking Dead for about $9 in October) so it doesn't like they've learned from their errors.

I got the Paypal email saying it went through, and it said the order was done immediately after I hit "confirm" on Paypal. So if it didn't go through, you were VERY close. I would wait a few and see if your Paypal email comes through.

I keep entering my credit card info on paypal and it then brings me to a screen where I have to click "continue" which loads something from gamersgate. This next webpage never loads for me, or it just brings me to www.gamersgate.com.

I don't see anything in my shelf and I'm not getting any emails from paypal confirming anything. Was that the last step of the process, or is there another step where I have to actually confirm the order? Is clicking 'continue' confirming the order? Not sure what to do at this point.

I keep getting to the 'continue' button in paypal where it says "You're almost done. You will confirm your payment on Gamersgate AB.", so I assume there's more to it.

Then I get that paypal loading icon and it just doesn't load, trying to load something from gamersgate.

I wouldn't even try. You should be golden once your payment goes through, they cant un-issue codes, I would just wait until the rush boils down.

Unfortunately, you have to use the GG site to get your codes. And since it's still struggling, you have to wait until it will load.

Though I doubt they would pull your keys, honestly. If it's a mistake, I'm pretty sure they will let you keep your games. It's not your fault.

Hey all, once I got to the Paypal confirmation page I had to confirm payment like 5 times. Open paypal in another tab and look at your transaction history. If it times out and you don't see the debit show up in your paypal history go back to the first paypal URL and hit submit again. If you get that far don't go back to the GG page.

What a sight this will be when they walk into the office haha. Servers on fire, building burning down, etc...

I was able to get the whole process done in about an hour, the confirmation email came immediately once I got that far along, what i did was right click on the links and "open in new tab" about 30 times for each step in the process, although once I got as far as the actual paypal screen I was able to use just one window, probably because it was all done on paypals servers.

I probably had to load/reload at least 2000+ browser windows, and finally got all the way through to my dishonored key, it probably took at least 200 tries just to get the key, even after the purchase.

Im debating getting the whole bundle punched through, but theres no chance they can retroactively cancel/remove the keys, is there?

curious about this as well. mine says "gift only", but i'm wondering if it's worth the effort to get these activated on steam right now, or if i'm safe.

I believe you'll get a button in your library that will make it display the game key that you can input directly into the steam client. I haven't gotten that far on this bundle yet though :(

It's really the same as getting it through Amazon. GamersGate is very trustworthy, and is actually one of the more popular services.

Have no fear, you can trust them, and everything works like you see on Amazon or Gamefly. It is NOT a foreign key site at all. So no having to use a VPN or anything shady. Just take your key and activate in Steam(not all games on their site use Steam, but these all do).

You know, in a way, we're all hackers tonight. With most people having 5-25 tabs open and pounding F5, we're technically DDoS'ing GamersGate to death.

The more tabs you have open, the less likely you are to get this to work. I just used one tab in firefox and got the job done. More tabs is flat out not the answer.

Help me out with this one please - if I manage to buy it and choose to not gift it, will I be able to gift it later? Whether through GG or just by sending the link?

As long as you don't activate your key, you can gift it later.

I believe that if you don't even VIEW your key, you can gift it through Gamers Gate to whomever you want. If you do view your key, but don't activate it on Steam, you can then directly give the key to somebody else so they can use it instead.

This only works if your account is verified. I haven't see anyone in the last few hours (or more than an hour after the deal started) saying they could verify a new account.

I verified my new account at 9:50 PM EST. It was a few hours after the deal was posted.

Actually, what email service are you guys using? I am trying with a Gmail account. Not sure if that would make a difference.
