going on in store as well - YMMV for choices and selections.
** This deal IS a legit deal and standard operating procedure of - DO NOT CALL - does not apply here. If you have a store in your area, call them see if they have what you want in stock. Great deal, but they're starting to run out of stuff already! Everything will probably be gone in an hour. Glad I caught this. Thanks, OP!
|
I got 20 different kinds it just has to add up to 5 pounds I don't have to buy tea for six months
|
Wow so hot. Be sure to pick up extra tins for $1.50 each!!!
|
6 teas + 2 tins for 18$
Thank God I decided to give my mom the tea for her birthday in April. LMAO hey it's better to buy early than late. All I need is a great deal on honey , tea infuser, and biscuits :D I JUST brought it for my mom for her stocking 2 teas for $9? :( I'm returning.... |
Some really good deals there - thanks for posting!
|
IM so glad I was able to help out some people! =)
I ended up buying 8 Tins for about 10$ and then 15 Different types of Tea equaling out to about 62 oz of tea!! BEST Christmas ever for me! hahah |
If you call yourself a tea lover, go to californiateahouse.com and check out their tea. It will be much more expensive then this site but the tea is amazing, it doesn't get bad reviews like the tea on this site. I have no affiliation with them, I got on a deal over a year ago (from a groupon like site) and I was amazed at how good their tea is. I just had some pistachio gelato tea today... my christmas morning tea! :)
Teavana has some really good prices on white tea which is very high in antioxidents. If you are a health nut, stack up on white tea. |
picked up 22(2oz) teas lol
thanks |
Dang... 2 oz of tea yeilds about 15-20 8 oz cups. That's a lot of tea.
|

Well I just spent $35 on tea. Basically got one of everything that was cheap. At these prices I couldn't say no. Thanks!

Ordered about $10 worth. Thanks.

Yay! Gifts for lunar new year done! Thank you"
|
Is this sale happening at the stores too? I wonder what Teavana's teas will be like in the future since Starbucks recently bought them
|
Wish I didn't see this deal....bought 22 bags of tea!
|
I spent $50 on tea and tins to get free shipping. It also gave me %10 off. Plus the bates :)
Great belated Christmas gift for the wife. |
Just picked up some teas for the heck of it.... thanks!
|
Has anyone tried using the LOYALTEA coupon code? I entered it into the correct section, and it said "invalid code" and didn't take off ten dollars off my $40 purchase. However, when I went onto the next page, a discount of $10 showed up. I'm not really sure why .. but I'm not complaining!
|
bought pound worth and 2 tins. Great deal to sample some different types of teas as doing so normally is sort of dumb because of the cost. $23 shipped aint bad for what these teas normally cost.
|
Well this is the second fastest I have used up a gift card I got for Christmas! Thanks OP!

thanks, wifey will love this for sure
|
dear god... just spent $102 on tea for my wife.. Thanks SL...
|
Um???
|
Just bought $50 worth of tea and tins, with 15% off and free shipping. I've always wanted to buy their tea, and now it's at a very reasonable price! To sweeten this deal even more, there's 10% cb through tcb.
|
good tea, horrible CS from teavana. i had a really bad experience with them about returning tea and not being able to get in touch with their CS. not to mention their pushy sales tactics.
that said, i did get 5 lbs of Rooibos Tropica + White Ayurvedic Chai Tea to push me over the $50 mark. rooibos tropica is one of my favorite teas, plus its caffeine free so i can drink it in the evening. thanks op. as others mentioned, i did MR cb for 8% |
Any suggestions from the offerings? Wondering if anyone has tried: Sakura Allure, Huang Shan Mao Feng Reserve, or Gyokuro Imperial Green.
|
Quote:
Bought more to push my total beyond $50 and 5lb to get both free shipping and 20%discount. Can't believe I ordered $56 worth of tea. That's slickdeals making me spend more... |
Now 34$ poorer but about 10x happier. Thanks fellow tea nuts. This will even get me through my summer Iced tea fix.
|
Oh, if anyone wants the coolest tea brewer ever check out this adagio tea pot.
http://www.amazon.com/Adagio-Teas...ds=tea+pot |
Bought a cast iron teapot with trivet & cups ... and 2lbs worth of tea with tin to store it in ... kinda excited to try all these new teas!
Thanks OP - repped. |
My wife usually mixes her own herbs and spices into a traditional Indian chai, lets see if she enjoys any of these blends. In for 5 lb in various varieties.
|
Thanks. I never thought I would spend $50, but did...

Not to sound like a tea newbie or an ingrate, but none in bags? It's enough to get the wife to boil water, let alone strain the tea. lol Everyone using a tea ball or whatever?

And with this, it could help you reach the $50 for free shipping. When I did research a few months back, some people said the teavana one was better, but I think most said they're the same. I'm sure some also said the adagio one is better, but I don't remember that because I remember choosing teavana since it was supposedly either equal or greater. EDIT: Didn't realize yours was $12 instead of $20. When I bought mine, both were the same price. Seems like the adagio one is a better deal then. |

I'm glad I saw this deal. I stocked up on blooming teas just now. |
Here is a rough tutorial of how Full leaf tea would work with the Strainer that finvhmaster was mentioning!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDAtGBVW-HY |
Quote:
Once you get in the routine of making it, it's very easy. I use the "perfectea" maker I linked above. |
Quote:
The biggest difference from my knowledge, that the teavana one has the strainer as removable, where you can really remove all the parts and clean them if they become colorized or for a good routine cleaning. I dont believe the ingenuity one can be removed, but I could be wrong! Quote:
And exactly! At first its a pain, but then when you are sipping some perfectly brewed tea relaxing, its the best day ever =) |
Quote:
Removable I have found to indeed be useful which is why I would recommend it for the same price. But I don't think it's worth an additional $8 over the adagio one. |
Any one know if this is in-stores too?
|
befrugal.com has 14% cashback with a link for a free orange blossom blend with any order. Teavana might have just replaced that with the maharaja/ samurai chai sample.
|
In for some, thank you.

awesome, I love the Youthberry Wild Orange Blossom blend and usually it's ~$18 for 2oz. Time to stock up. repped!

Thanks. At these prices I will bite. Even then I can't believe I spent $50 on tea products, but that included the teamaker, spoon and enough tea to last me and my parents for a few months. I pay like 7 bucks for boxes of the boring dried stuff anyway, and I guess I can budget this by cutting back on lattes.

Thanks OP! I got a 2oz Gyokuro green tea last week and loved it, at this price I picked up a few more and I'm trying some of the other ones!

in for 18 oz of the samurai tea blend!!!
|
I picked up a Dragonfly Silver Blue Teaset. When I walked into the store, they were about $350 for the 4 coasters, 4 cups, and pot. Patience pays off!
And I bought 8 kinds of tea :) |
Anyone know if this is also in-store as well?
|
Thanks OP....gonna try it out
|
I ordered a ton of my favorite teas which are usually quite expensive. Thanks OP!
|
I love you op.

Somehow I got $10 off my order...not complaining! 4oz of 5 teas + 2 8oz tins for $12.08 shipped!

Does anyone know if the sale is also I stores?
|
Just to add I checked our local store and the sale is going on in stores too.
|
Does anyone know thr return policy?
|
Anyone know how long the tea will stay good, especially if its sealed in those pouches they send it in? Don't want to stock up only to find out a year from now it's gone sour. I know it won't 'go bad' perse, but will it become stale?
Thx |

thanks. Any thoughts on keeping it in the ziplock type pouches they send it in? I have a few tins from tea I've bought in the past, but not enough to store poinds of tea. Not sure if you know what I'm talking about, but the white tea that I buy from teavana comes in those ziplock type 2 oz bags. They're n not clear so light definitely won't be getting in, and I do store them away from heat and all that, though in the summer it will get hot. Thanks again for the info! |
there goes another $58.xx! Thanks OP!

Crazy sale. Because of Starbucks?
Do they have this every year after Christmas? I just spent $100 last week on their 25% off everything sale (at the store). Still jumped at this. At 8 am EST this morning, they were already out of stock on many teas.

Hi! Love slick deals, never posted before but had to for this deal! If you register your email address they will send you $10 off a $30 order. I got it to stack with the additional 15% off for quantity. I am not sure if it is good with the free ship after $50. Possibly if your total is still $50. After discount. My total was 52.50 before discount. I got the $10. Off but they charged me shipping... The code did not show deducted until my final confirmation but then showed once I submitted my payment... Hope this helps someone!
|
Thanks 4 the tea, brudda!
|
Popped by a retail location this morning and the sale was going strong. Grabbed the last tin of the Huang Shan Mao Feng Reserve at my store, and picked up a few 2 oz bags of some other teas. Saved on shipping at least!

The Balance and Harmony Gift Set is only $34.98 and comes with 4 tins (let's say a $6 value, since they have the $1.50 tins on the site) plus 2 oz each of:
Monkey Picked Oolong (currently $25 by itself) and Body + Mind (currently $15 by itself) along with White Ayurvedic Chai (on sale for $2.50 on its own) and Peachberry Jasmine Sutra (not currently available on its own) So, even if you ignore the Peachberry Jasmine Sutra, it's at least a $48.50 value for 34.98. It's a good addition if you're trying to get up to the $50 free shipping. |
Anything that compares to Adagio's Foxtrot?

So does the promotion also run in stores, anyone?

Be careful if you take certain medications (hormonal birth control, anti-depressants, some heart and cholesterol medications, thyroid medications and others) and get the GINSENG VITALITY ROOIBOS TEA.. it's got St. John's Wort in it! It's probably not in large enough quantities to do any real damage unless you're drinking a lot of it, but just watch out for it!

I think I will try the store tomorrow. I hit this sale in the store on the 3rd week of January and as time goes on what is left is reduced further and further. I got 4 1/2 pound teas for 75% off in the canisters and 2 tea sets for 75% off, one of them being the green Matcha tea set. Of course this is YMMV depending on stock, but you might want to check out the Teavana retail stores in a few weeks to see if you can pick up some real bargains.;) |
Order just went through, I wound up ordering about 7 tins and about 4 pounds of tea.
The 10/30 coupon DID work in conjunction with the 10/15/20% bulk discount and the 5% S/S, but it only showed up AFTER I placed the order. On my checkout page it did not show the coupon as active, but when I got my confirmation, it showed as $10 off. |
I have over $50 in my bag but free shipping disappeared on the last page of my order. Does this happen to anyone else? Thanks!
Edit: DUH - need to have over $60 in bag for free shipping because of $10 coupon. Thanks! |
Yes, that coupon do work even with 15% discount and you will see it after order submission. That is so stupid as I end up paying for shipping which I would avoid by adding more tea if I would knew it before
|
Wow!!!!!!! All I can say is, holy cow wow!!! This was wayyy cheaper than the receipt from my last purchase that I still have in my desk:
4oz of White Aruv = $20 4oz of Samurai Chai = $12.40 Total = $32.40 (before tax) My total with tax and shipping was just over $30.00 and I got over 2 pounds of tea and 4 tins. That is unbelievable. Especially considering how rarely Teavana has sales. Just wow. Is this why I generally try to browse Slickdeals ~twice a week? Yes, I think it is. This will make the harsh Chicago winter slightly more bearable. :) |
I just REALLY hope they don't cancel these orders. This is the slickest deal I've come across is a long time. Honestly, seems too good to be true.
Just to be safe, PLEASE no one call on this! |
5.5lbs for $52.60 shipped!!! yes!
|
friggin gift cards arent going through... waiting on the phone for a rep and almost all the teas in my cart have gone out of stock
|
If you're worried about order cancellations, I don't think it's going to happen. The sale is going live in their B&M locations as well. If you're super paranoid, you could drop by and pick some up on the spot.
I might make a second trip later this afternoon. |
Quote:
What this should be telling you though is what gigantic markups their tea has. |
thanks, picked up a bunch of samplers. the system takes SAVETEA10 but won't show the discount while in cart. a invalid code (LOYALTEA) will show up in-cart. when you complete the order, discount will be shown.
something like this: Subtotal: $65.10 Discount: $10.00 Tax: $0.78 Shipping: FREE! Order Total $55.88 |
another tea newbie question. My college daughter loves tea, but as I drink coffee I don't know much about teas. How many cups will 2 oz of loose tea make? I'm thinking of buying her some, but don't really know how much 2 oz is.....a lot? a little? Thanks!!
|
Quote:
2 oz. of tea will brew between 25-30 8oz cups of tea, unless otherwise noted. |
Quote:
|
SAVETEA10 worked for me i also had the 15% tea discount
everything with ship was 36.xx then after i paid it shows up as 26.xx on the final page |
Quote:
most decent quality loose leaf tea can also be seeped more than once. Meaning you can make more than 1 cup using the same tea. Best way to get most bang for your buck out of tea is to seep it in a pot of some sort, and then get that tea stored in something else, seep the same tea again, put that away etc. I drink white tea, and the silver needle I buy, I seep 3 times. The 3rd time I leave it seeping for an extra 2 minutes. Works like a charm and allows your tea to go a lot further. Not sure if this will make sense for a college student making it in their dorm room and what not, but just some friendly info for all other tea drinkers. I'm not sure if this process will work for all types of teas, but I think any quality loose leaf tea should allow for more than a single seeping... |
Thanks OP, repped. I have a friend and a brother with birthdays coming up, and for $30 each, I was able to get them 3 tins to fill with 8 oz of samurai chai, orange blossom, and acai mate -- oh and a pound of fancy sugar to boot (which seemed overpriced at just under $9, but various blogs and overwhelmingly positive reviews of the german rock sugar convinced me it was probably worth trying, and at least would make for a more complete gift set).
|
Quote:
Seeping? You sure are knowledgeable about tea. |
Quote:
1. This only works on some teas, in particular the green varieties with short steeping times. I have yet to find a black tea that tastes good steeped more than once. 2. The first brew is better than subsequent brews; I find the tea gets more and more bitter when brewed multiple times. My answer to the question was pulled directly from Teavana's FAQ btw :) Personally I find I need to use more tea than they state in the instructions so I get a bit less than the advertised 25-30 cups. |

SAVETEA10 doesn't work for my $6x order
|
It won't take $10 off until you actually confirm payment. So it'll say it will charge you $6x for your order, then when it says your order is done, it should only say $5x.
|
I'm having a slight problem.
Ordered 16 tea's total at 2 oz each. Correct me if I'm wrong but 16 oz = 1 lb so 32 oz = 2 lb's. I'm only getting the 10% discount for the 1 lb tea but not the 15% discount.... shady business... unless their oz weighs less then other ounces... In either case, check how much you have when you ordered. I'm going to call CS tomorrow when they open. |
Their website is not designed well. I placed 2 orders and got 4 (!) pending charges on my credit card. There are only 2 orders shown in my order status. They better not charge me twice!
|
Got a bunch of teas, got an extra 15% off for over 2lbs. and then also used the SAVETEA10 coupon to save an extra $10. Great deal. Should be all stocked up for the rest of 2013. Thanks for sharing!
|
I am trying to order some tea. I have never bought from Teavana. What do you recommend?

Good deal. I just bought a bunch of tea! Went crazy on tea. Also bought the monkey stuff. Gotta have some monkey tea. Who doesnt love monkeys especially when they are picking tea.

Thanks OP! Always wanted to try their teas (besides in the store ) but the prices were kind of ridiculous. This makes it a little better! Used the $10 off $30 which only showed AFTER I placed the order.

dang i wish i knew about the 10 off $30 maybe i should do another order?
|
wish I knew about the $10 off coupon... I spent $58 this morning.
|
Wow!
I coincidentally discovered Teavana at the local mall about 3 weeks ago. Very cool stuff, but pricey. Nevertheless, I bought the IntoTeas Collection [teavana.com] "on clearance" for $60 (MSRP was $90) and now I see it's $45. Argh. The very next day I did some research on them where I also discovered that they were recently bought out by Starbucks. Anyway, so far I've had 3 of the 4 teas in that kit. The travel tumblers are awesome. I keep one at home and one at the office. In fact, I just had the Raspberry Mint a few moments ago. Good stuff. The Samurai Chai Mate, however, is truly "spice heaven". Love it!!! Thanks to all for mention the $10 off $30 code. I just ordered the following:
Having said all that, if you like the cast iron teapots at Teavana, check out the ones at Cost Plus World Market. I bought one there last weekend for $20 and it's virtually identical to the ones at Teavana for FOUR TIMES the price. I also got the Teapot Warmer: http://www.worldmarket.com/search...t+iron+tea  |
5.5lb of tea, Total:$53.76! 20% off and 10 off 30 stacked. Thanks slickdeals! I could NOT see the 10 off 30 until after the purchase was complete and i came back to review my order.
White Ayurvedic Chai Tea - 1 lb Wild Orange Blossom Herbal Tea - 1 lb My Morning Mate Tea - 1 lb Samurai Chai Mate Tea - 1 lb MatéVana Herbal Tea - 1 lb Lemon Lime Kampai Rooibos Tea - 0.5 lb |
I wish I went on slickdeals yesterday >.>
|
ARRRRGH trying not to spend money but my resolution is to be healthier and I can't stand drinking plain water so tea helps me greatly for that.
5 different teas (4oz each), 5 tins, & a lb of rock sugar, $30 shipped. I finally bit, damn you OP. :D |
Careful... I ordered $32 worth of tea and used the coupon. Everyting was confirmed initally, but a few hours later I got an email confirmation with one item missing (apparently went oos) so pushed me under $30 so it unapplied my coupon and ended up charging me a few dollars more for less tea.
|
Quote:
|
Is the $10 off coupon no longer working? I just tried to use it and it says invalid coupon.

Did anyone else get charged twice? I have two pending charges on my bank account.

Sorry if someone already addressed or resolved this, My order was $30 total and I used the 10 off before it died. I checked my account just now and it's showing a $40 charge. Happen to anyone else? I am so tired of speaking with customer service reps over completely normal orders this month.

Same here, two charges. One for $41.31 and one for $31.31.
I'll be watching closely also, looking forward to seeing which goes through. $10 is usually worth a call to customer service, but in this case the prices were so good already that $41 would be acceptable. I do have the confirmation email that says grand total: $31.31 though. This should be honored. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
|
Ughh. That is not what I wanted to hear. The total was $11.31 over the $30 limit and I don't think I ordered more than $11 in any one product. If multiple products were out of stock you'd think they would notify the buyer.
No emails as of yet. Lets see what happens. |
They charged my debit card the $10 dollar discount it had applied on my confirmation email.
So instead of $81 with the coupon applied they charged me $91 I'ma have to call in! Hope its not a hassle |
Apparently teavana customer service over the phone sucks majorly. So good luck with your phone calls!
|
Called to add a subsitute to the oos tea to my order so the coupon would be added back on but apparently the coupon was not removed for that reason. I was told they removed the coupon because it is not vaild on sale items. Seems like they are tacking the $10 back on if the coupon was used on sale items. Added it back onto my moms order too. Still think I got a good deal though...just hate surprises like this when everything seems to go through initially. I just tried to use the coupon to order non-sale tea, but it does not seem to work at all anymore even for non-sale items.
|
some good tea !
|
Quote:
I sent them an email showing my order confirmation with the discounted total. |
They charged me the full amount as well even though the confirmation in my email shows a $10 discount. Anybody have luck with CSR about this? Ridiculous.
|
Okay I just got an email back. I was told that it was just a pre-authorization charge and the discounted amount is what would be charged. That was fast and painless. Hopefully none of you have anything to worry about either.
|
Thanks slickydoll, I'll make sure to check my online account once it actually ships to see what shows up.
|
Thanks. I bought 16oz of strawberry lemonade. I've had it before and it was very good. Should be covered for a while with that much of it.
|
Has anyone's order actually shipped yet? I actually ended up going to the store for most of the tea, but did order a couple things online.
|
Dude, what in the world did I say about NOT CALLING? This is the first rule of Slickdeals (and second and third and forth). You guys are making them scrutinize transactions and remove the coupon from other people as well!
Sheezus. There should be conditions on deals that are confirmed as exceptionally good that only if you accept the term of NOT CALLING are you allowed to a view a thread. Note: I understand this may have happened regardless, but the chances are greater that it will get looked into when it's brought to their attention by phone calls. Hence the rule: DO NOT CALL. |
Quote:
You can always dispute with your CC and show them your e-mail invoice; however, for added peice of mind I printed a .xps file of my pending order on their website (incase they change it on me) |
Have not had it ship yet, and I placed my order pretty early in the promotion. Even if something funky happens, you can always get your stuff if a store is nearby.
|
I placed my order on 12/25 - rather early in the promotion, even before some of the newer items/teas were added.
I have to admit, I'm a bit annoyed with Teavana - never got a confirmation email for my 14 item+, over 2.5lb order of tea. Tonight, when I logged in to see if my order had shipped, my order shows only 4 items and less than 1.5lbs of tea. Everything that has sold out since I ordered is now gone. Mind you - nothing was back ordered when I first placed the order. And the amount charged to my credit card is still the same - no reduction on THAT side. I plan to call tomorrow, but I'm less than thrilled with how this has happened. I used this as a chance to stock up on a tea that I love that is being discontinued - if this is how they treat a repeat customer (in store and online) I'm not sure I can continue to use this company. Did anyone else experience this "reduction" in what they ordered? |

Geesh, lets hope the tea shows up soon so everyone can pour a hot cup and cool down. Keep calm and carry on people, these are first world problems after all.

I went to the store yesterday and bought a few things but I have never had a more aggressive and pushy salesperson in my life, she wouldn't measure the 2 oz and tried to go over buy and ounce and a half and took 3 trys for each tea for me to get her slightly over 2 oz, she told me my teas would be no good if I didn't buy the tins and didn't even direct me to the ones on sale, she tried to sell me everything in that store and wouldn't take no for an answer. Made me not want to shop there again.

Head's up. The gift sets are showing as in stock and 75% off. Since they were removed from the sale page IDK how instock they actually are, but they keep recommending them to me.
Price is in parenthesis IntoTeas (22.xx): http://www.teavana.com/tea-produc...collection Exotic Iced Teas (16.xx) http://www.teavana.com/tea-gift-c...collection Balance and Harmony (17.xx) http://www.teavana.com/tea-produc...a-gift-set Opening the Doors (17.xx) http://www.teavana.com/tea-produc...a-gift-set Sweet Decadence (19.xx) http://www.teavana.com/tea-gift-c...a-gift-set Tranquil Twilight (22.xx) http://www.teavana.com/tea-produc...a-gift-set And just that quick they took them down. |

If you have a store in your area call them to check their stock and go there. This is a time where calling a store should be ENCOURAGED... as the deal online is the same as in store!!!
I just picked up over $400 in product for $122. If you want it in 2lb backs the stores have vacuum sealed bags they get from the shipper that they can give you. ended up getting over 6 pounds of tea... Awesome! |

This is totally what I've seen with the store I frequently go to. They push you to try something and stress the fact that if you don't like it you can bring it back for a full refund... Yet returning tea is a MAJOR pain in the ass, they fully don't expect you to return it. If I'm dropping over $10 for 2oz of tea that I end up hating, sure as hell I'm bringing it back. So they will take it back, and then push you to try something else/replace what you got with something else. It shouldn't be too hard for any of the SDers out there, but just simply tell them... yea, no thanks... no thanks... no thanks... and done. |

All the actual "tea" items in my order are gone and all that is left is a sample, a tumbler and a tin. WTG Teavana! Maybe they should take some of the money they get selling overpriced tea and work on updating the website in real time. I cam make my own tea! Just stick some nuts n berries in a tumbler thing...add hot water...done! |

And especially if you drop a ton of money on Tea - this is the time to get it. |

Well, it's not happening  Not going there in the next couple of weeks, if they have any sale stuff then it could happen. I appreciate that. I am a tea drinker but never had these teas. Some of them defy the definition of tea (candied ginger? Chocolate chips)? And the price always stopped me. I have a large quantity of PG Tips and green tea, and some Celestial seasonings in my basement. I will finish that first and try Teavana at their next sale maybe. |
there are a lot of complaints on their facebook page.

When I called this morning, they thought that I kept talking about things in my shopping cart. Then I provided them with an order number that I had and they did not! They re-did my order over the phone (from my memory since I didn't have an email confirmation). I was told the charges would fall off my credit card in the next few days since the inital order doesn't exist. I allowed them to place a second order, including the teas that are now showing as sold out - if that first order doesn't fall off, I'll be starting a dispute with the credit card company. I was told that my order would be filled (including my sold out teas) even if they have to ship at a later date and time. I have a new order/confirmation number - granted still no email. Must be special like that. Hopefully that helps some of you out - I was seeing red when I noticed that my order, that I'd already been charged for, had items vanishing. |

I ended up with a non processed order, under an order number that didn't exist. They had no order for me - even though I could see it. And they had charged my card. I really hope I had an anomaly - but I wanted to put the information out there for others. |
