How high brow are you that you're on slickdeals and opposed to logos?

In for one. Great gift for mom.

Read the reviews that complained about small capacity, but for $40, if it's fun at a party or two I'd call it a win. Thanks OP!

Yeah seriously, the freezer = frozen food and liquor bottles. What else is it good for? :)

Stylistically, the actual logo itself is probably the least of my concerns.

The whole thing is covered with palm trees, cheap faux-wood accents, and other froofy parrothead crap. :-)

You'd still have the classy metallic palm trees in the background. And a biplane, I don't know why. It's okay to fly a plane drunk if it's from WW II?

youre in for a surprise. This is not a frozen drink maker, this is essentially a liquor freezer. I own one of these from the last sale they had. This thing doesnt hold much liquor and on top of that, this takes 6 HOURS to get it below freezing. Not like you could constantly refill it at a party and have a good ol time. You have to wait another 6 hours for it to get chilled.

Seriously people, put your liquor bottle in the freezer. It does the same thing in much less time.

I completely realize this is not the frozen concoction maker... I read what it was. I use my freezer too to store bottles during parties, but I thought for $40 this would provide a festive dispenser...hell, I'll refill it from what's in the freezer if it runs out! IT'S ONLY $40! & it will remind me of the concoction maker from cruising that makes all of my favorite mango tangos (until I buy that one too)!

Great for chillin out with friends. Destined to become the life of the party, the Margaritaville Liquor Chiller super-chills premium liquors, shots or cocktails to an ultra smooth and refreshing 15° F. Colder than ice! Ice waters down your cocktail, and only chills your drink to 32° F. Storing liquor in the freezer takes you away from your guests … and away from the party!

I have no friends, so i'll save the 40 bucks and store mine in the freezer

Seriously people, put your liquor bottle in the freezer. It does the same thing in much less time.

It holds 750 ml bottle. If that is what you need or not, at least you can make the decision based upon capacity. As for how long it takes to chill--this is from the website (but maybe this is YMMV)

How fast does it get cold?
If the liquid is at room temperature:
a) Approximately 2 hours to get below freezing (32 F)
b) Approximately 3-4 hours to reach 10-15 F.
If the liquid comes from the freezer it will chill to Ultra-Cold (15 F) in minutes!

Is it worth the $40? Dunno. I am thinking of one for a "late" Christmas thing.

Ram|bunc|tious 12-26-2012 10:16 PM

Not a big fan of the one DW bought me. Novelty runs out quickly. Sides quickly freeze up, really doesn't hold that much alcohol, and not sure I've ever had it reach "ultra-cold".

nonstopfan 12-27-2012 12:03 AM

not to troll but ultra cold? 98% of the places that you go use regular ice. Freezer keeps things cold enough as it is.

If this was $10, I would be all over this, but normally if you have friends over, you probably have a selection of different variations of vodka, etc. which means that you would still have to utilize the freezer anyways. Also 750ml for a "few" friends will go quite quickly which means the novelty will be short lived as you are still probably using your freezer for additional bottles

Mr.Ritz 12-27-2012 01:05 AM

Anyone know a good margarita maker??

Blenders are not quite the same..

roninmaster 12-27-2012 01:11 AM

Has anyone seen the Southpark episode about the Margaritaville ? ... enough said,.. I need to purchase some ice cubes to keep my ice cold.

nhstunner 12-27-2012 04:48 AM

I have no use for this (except parties) & do not need it......I bought one. Damn you SlickDeals! :)

benman777 12-27-2012 05:00 AM

I bought this about a year ago for maybe 10 bucks more..... Used it twice............. its crap, Looks good and a good idea......but you have to fill so much in to get it to cool correctly. We have a handful of decent size parties...... and both times we had to dump the booze back in the bottle. For the price and used 1 or 2 times.... not really worth it, if yo use it more then 2 times..... might be worth the conversation piece price.

verymetal 12-27-2012 05:58 AM

i am afraid that we are raising a generation of morons who don't know how to enjoy their alcohol.

I'd rather drink brake fluid than be seen serving myself a "premium liquor" from this piece o' crap.

Personally, I don't do shots, especially super-frozen liguor shots. However the better way to utilize this would be to put your liquor in the freezer ahead of time. Use this to keep it really cold and dispense it.

For $40 this would be more convient to have shots out by the pool rather than walking back and forth to the house everytime someone wanted a shot. (Again, if that was the way one was drinking at a party)

That's pretty close to what I was thinking. My sister has fire-pit get togethers pretty often and has gone pretty far to make sure she doesn't have to run back to the house every few minutes (wireless speakers, etc). To be able to set this up early for an impromptu round of shots and not have to run back inside or lug out a cooler would probably make it very worthwhile.

Plus, I'm late buying her a Christmas present... done!

Bought one and the travel bag for $75. Both discounted with the one code. (80% and 20%). Amazing!! I almost bought a Jager one a few years back but at $500 too much $$. They say that this will hold one 750ml bottle. Can you say shots anyone???

LeeB5613 12-27-2012 07:50 PM

Just bought one. Verified still alive.

Must resist. If I buy, then I'll feel obligated to drink more. This would be like buying a car with high maintenance costs at a reduced price.
