Can anyone recommend a similar external universal battery for laptops ?
|
Maybe it is just me, but is this really a deal? Root your phone, use a ROM that underclocks the CPU in off mode, and when you are in a place of crappy service, aeroplane mode, or turn off the mobile network...
It isn't that hard. |

I have owned a few battery backups in the past and have found them to be most useful while on long trips where you may not have easy access to outlets or are on-the-go. I've charged my phone while walking around on the floor of E3 since I was checking it a lot. This seems like a great deal in my book. |

If nothing else, it's a huge peace of mind that you can leave in your backpack. |
Thanks, been waiting for a deal on these. I travel a lot and can Mophie doesn't have their case for the iPhone 5 yet, so this won!
|
missed the last similar deal - in for 1
|
I'm getting "The promotion code cannot be applied to your order."
*Edit - Nevermind, it doesn't like me changing the method of payment... |
Dangit, I would've been all over this if i didnt get the recent Trent 10,000mah deal for $27.
Good post, thanks. |

what about: 1. Road trips? 2. Traveling by plane? 3. Camping? 4. Hiking? 5. Keep in car for emergency is it that hard to think outside your ass? |
I wish this was sold by Amazon. Always easy to manage returns if it gets to that.
|
I bought the 12000 when they had it with free 7100 unit.
Sold the 7100 for 40 dollars so pretty much paid 30 dollars for the 12000 unit. I travel for work and it's been a lifesaver for me. Charges fast, doesn't get hot, and always reliable. Highly recommend it! |

Pick the option that isn't prime
|
Looks like the 9000mAh is not working anymore, but the 6000mAh code(FREEIMIR)works. But i want the free 9000mAh one :)
|
Looks like the price went up to $92 but I still ordered it. I'll try and sell one of them to offset the cost. The deal still works if you choose the idealpoint non prime buying option
|
1.) Follow the original link [amazon.com].
2.) Click "3 New" [amazon.com] 3.) Add the second option to cart. This is the one NOT fulfilled by Amazon. 4.) Add 9000mAh charger [amazon.com] to cart. 5.) Go to checkout, enter 33ITURBO coupon code. Total comes to $91.95 Thanks, TCBJR23! |
yeah looks to be dead. Damn, was looking to pick these up for a while. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

Road trips, charge with the car charger, planes have places to charge things, but why your phone is on in a plane is beyond me. Camping, and hiking? Never crossed my mind, especially because when I go camping or hiking I get away from the electrics, and keep a radio. Keep in car for emergency? I received this exact model for free and it dies after not being messed with for a while like other external batteries. If you have an emergency, what's wrong with the wall outlet. I was only asking a question, didn't expect the Slickdealer community to be so hostile. |
Quote:
1. Buy a car charger 2. Buy a plug for that special plane outlet (use phone to watch movies, play games duh). 3. Be stranded/attacked by a bear/or be in a place where you can't call for help, because you decided to "get away from the electronics" 4. Somehow create a wall outlet because a wall outlet isn't always there when you need it the most. Or, you can buy a an external battery. |
