RADIO SHACK: Don't waste your time. I tried many times at many places in all California regions, and none to be tracked. 1 out of many SDers might find one though.

will it work with s3? google isn't turning up any results. Some vague posts on xda, thats about it.

I believe you can mod the ports on the lapdock to fit just about any phone...however as it sits I'm 99.9% sure that it won't.

It's a pretty nice unit for only $50...you're basically getting a decent screen, speakers, keyboard and a fairly large battery for that price. I own one and was much happier before by Bionic updated to the new android software (which also updated the lapdock software) and it's now almost unusable.

I also read about the updates making it unusable. That's why I never bought one for my Razr Maxx. Can anyone confirm what about it is so bad after the lapdock software update and whether or not there are any fixes? I read that Motorola has killed off webtop/lapdock, so when Jelly Bean gets pushed to my phone is there any chance it'll even still work?

This. The Atrix/Bionic lapdock accepts any HDMI input, this one needs a Motorola phone.

When the Razr got ICS, Moto got rid of their custom webtop software and the phone just goes into tablet mode instead when docked. People complained because it was pretty different (and firefox was removed) but otherwise I think it was an improvement - cleaner and less buggy. I've already upgraded to Jelly Bean and lapdock mode works fine still, if not a little better than it did on ICS. I use a modded Atrix lapdock.

I did some further digging and this appears to work with other inputs it is just tricky to detect... I found an article on using it with a Raspberry pi...

So what if my buddy has a Razr HD?? Is that newer than the Maxx and the other models listed?? Anyone know if it would work??

Is there anyway to use Atrix HD on this ?

Beat me to it! I bought it. TU and repped. Great deal. Decent resale value too. Still $250 on Amazon...

I picked one up from radio shack for 9.97.

Does anybody have leads on where to find a micro hdmi extension? I have looked around with no luck.

Did anyone get theirs? Mine arrived today and it did not work.....bummed.

I received mine today also and it doesn't work either. :mad: The phone doesn't detect hdmi connection nor the usb. The lapdock doesn't charge with the power adapter nor does the lapdock charge my phone.. I filled out http://www.dailysteals.com/contact/ customer service to notify them of this defective lapdock. I will update once I hear from them. Cosism... let us know if dailysteals will RMA or not and I will do the same..

inspiredgs. I have the same EXACT symptoms are yours does. At first, I thought maybe the power supply was bad, but per the AC to DC rectifier specs, the out put is 19V DC. I checked it with my DMM and that was the DC Volts I got, so it was not the power supply. I tried to charge the unit by itself thinking the internal battery was super dead, but that was not the case either. It did not recognize my phone when I connected it to the unit.

I did fill out the online form as well. If I do not hear from them by Tuesday AM, I am going to dispute it with American Express. I will give them a day or two to reply, but from what I read, they are not too keen on doing that.

Let me know how it pans out on your end. I will keep you posted as well.

Update: They emailed me a RMA number and a RMA .pdf form for me to fill out for a full refund. Also they said they will be sending me a RSL (return shipping label) via email in 3-6 business days.

Update 2: They emailed me with the RSL on Jan 18th and I shipped my defective lapdock on the same day. They received and signed for the package on Jan 24th. I emailed them last night since I haven't heard from them or received my full refund. It has now been a whole month since I first ordered the lapdock. :mad:

Final update: Finally got my full refund today.

I got one. Tried to use iMito MX2 on it.
but it only shows the POST screen then goes black.
Seems hdmi video incompatible. any idea?
