FL resident Disney tickets - $33/day
1 Attachment(s)
4 days park tickets $129 ($33 a day). AFAIK $10 more than last year and the year before, but still a good deal.
Purchase January 5 through June 3, 2013 and enjoy admission to one theme park per day on any 3 or 4 days through June 7, 2013, excluding blockout dates.* The Discover Disney ticket is valid at any of the 4 Walt Disney World Resort theme parks! * Blockout dates are March 23 through April 5, 2013. Passes are non-transferable, are only valid during regularly scheduled operating hours and exclude activities/events priced separately. No additional discounts apply. Proof of Florida residency is required for each adult age 18 and older. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/...ay-ticket/ |
Can't add to cart. Hmmm. Seems like good pricing though.
|
Can I buy this and have 4 people use it on 1 day, or is it for 1 person to go 4 separate times?

How much does it cost for a annual pass for a Florida resident?
|
The finger scanner is what they use...once it is scanned that ticket is locked to your fingerprint and if it doesn't match after the 1st use they will send you to guest services to remedy the issue.

Varies depending on which one you purchase...we are nearing the end of our 1st year with just seasonal passes for 2 adults, 1 child and it was $280ish to start and then $47 per mo for 12 months....we went 3 times this year a total of 12 days. It's a really nice perk for residents. |

Any deal for Universal Studio Orlando, FL?
|
Quote:
Rarely to never. There is a FL Res. discount. That will save you a couple bucks on admission but its piddly. If you are going to go more than one day a year grab a pass. $88+tax with $15 parking adds up quick. If there IS any deal mousesavers will have info on it so check them out. |
Parking is not included with OP's pass.
Currently it is $14/day Quote:

When we go, I buy tickets from one of the hospital gift shops .. I believe they are a small bit cheaper, but the other benefit is that you can do a tax write-off for the entire ticket expense as it's actually a charity donation (technically it's a donation and they give you the tickets free).

With the Mardi Gras passes, you have access to both parks for the rest of the year with blackout dates. You will also have access to all their Fri/Sat/Sun concerts through April, and their summer concert series as well. (Just a note, I eventually received a letter from Universal stating they took out all my blackout dates, but this was during the recession so it may not happen to you). |

Is this deal valid in person? I have disney gift card and the online order system doesnt allow paying with gc.

In theory, you can only park at either Downtown Disney or the water parks for free. Neither provides direct bus service to any of the theme parks. Parking at the Boardwalk isn't free for all day parking. The travel time alone might want to make some people pay the $14/day parking fee. |

Wow! Thanks for the heads up! Planning a trip for this spring and that's nice to know:):) |

Depending on your needs, if you're a FL resident consider the various level of annual passes. Just check blackout dates and what not.

Biometrics? I don't remember biometrics being used.......... but it really doesn't matter whether they use the old/new system. You aren't scamming 4 people on one ticket
Before the fingerprint thing.... once the 4day ticket was scanned..... it was dead for that day..... and re-entry was via hand stamp. Biometrics? I would imagine it helps deter people from buying a 7 day hopper and splitting it up between 7 people and 7 days in a row, but looks like it isn't based on the eBay deals I'm seeing. PS - HAS DISNEYLAND RAISED THEIR PRICES BY 100% +/- SINCE FIVE YEARS AGO? |
Just to make sure, this 4 day pass, it doesn't have to used consecutively does it? It can be used once, then used at another day within the time frame? Thanks!

good prices for FL residents, more in your title would be helpful, like
FL resident disney tickets - $33/day (just trying to help) |
Last year they had the 3-day for $99 (got it even cheaper then that through AAA) and the tikets were only good through about mid-May..I guess with the opening of the New Fantasyland, they upped the pricing a tad, but adding the 4th day makes it worth it IMO, averages out to about the same price (per day) as last year! I'll likely be buying soon!

Advice taken.

Also, if you have specific attraction in mind, check this site [wdwinfo.com] first. We went on that day (w/o checking) and a few of them are under construction.
Another, is to d/l the app for the park. It helps a lot if you want to get to as many attractions in a day. If you don't mind just to stroll around and to get into whichever, then the apps is not that helpful. |

do they check ID to see if you are FL resident when you go into the park the next day? I know they check when you pick up the tickets, but i've only been going for 1 day only.

For resident tickets, you must show a valid FL ID(it states this in multiple places) and then on the 1st day you use the ticket it is locked to the fingerprint, on each addl day if the fingerprint doesn't match, they refer you to guest services, where there they will check your ID again if need be |

from what I understand, Disney World require you to show FL IDs for everyone who purchased a FL resident ticket (excluding kids) when you pick them up at the window. However what if I picked them up with me and my wife's IDs, and gave them to my in-laws? do they check for FL IDs again at the turn table gate? |
Quote:
When we got our tickets, they made me and my wife both show ID's and be present before they would issue them to us.From WDWInfo forums, i have read that any adult must show ID.Its better paying the non-resident rate, than taking the chance and wasting $240, as they do not issue refunds. |
Quote:
only problem would be if they check IDs again when you enter the turn gate, or force you to finger print right when you pick up the tickets. i read worst case scenario is they make you upgrade the tickets. |

We have old Florida ids (expire in 2014). Any reason those wouldn't work?

You will need a AAA card from FL |
buy your in-law tickets that say ages 3-9, the price is the same, then hand it to them, they don't check ID for those.
plus they didnt require fingerprint when we went probably because it was too busy. Quote:

Also there are always someone at the turnstiles and won't they catch an adult using a child ticket? |
The only time anyone at the gate is concerned is when you slide your ticke and the red beep comes on.
No one at the counter checks who's with me, i was at will call gave them my Florida ID and my wifes, for my younger kids they don't ask for any ID. The tickets look the same nothing distinguishing child vs adult, when they ask for name of child you put your relatives name down. I'm just saying the price is exactly the same, if you run into any problem you can say you accidentally must have chosen age 3-9 when placing the order online. Quote:

The folks at the turnstiles expect adults will scan their fingers and wait for the light to turn green before sending them through. Won't this system be upset when an adult is not prompted for their fingerprint? Or is there an override that the person at the turnstile activates when it's a child? Will the system accept a fingerprint in the first recording, if it's a child's ticket?
There are a lot of questions here, and I would not feel comfortable testing this without some kind of confirmation. That assumes I could get past the scam that is buying a child's ticket for a grown-up person. Hey, you're grown-up, why don't you act like one and buy a grown-up ticket? |
I'm going to wdw tomorrow. It doesn't seem like there's any deals for non fl residents. How did anyone get a 400.00 pap?
Also does anyone have any tips for wdw ticket discounts? |
The 1 park per day limitation kills this for me.
|
I bought a set of tickets last year. The best legit prices I could find were on Undercover Tourist.
When I got them, I took pictures of the ticket #'s. This is important bcause if you lose them, that is the only way you can get them replaced. Without those numbers, you are done. |
It lists the age, ex. 10+ or ages (3-9)
last year i used my brothers ticket once for myself and once for my wife, as he only went two of the days. plus they never did the fingerprint last year so had no issues, slide it through, turns green, continue forward. Quote:
