FL resident Disney tickets - $33/day

1 Attachment(s)
4 days park tickets $129 ($33 a day). AFAIK $10 more than last year and the year before, but still a good deal.

* Blockout dates are March 23 through April 5, 2013. Passes are non-transferable, are only valid during regularly scheduled operating hours and exclude activities/events priced separately. No additional discounts apply. Proof of Florida residency is required for each adult age 18 and older.

Can't add to cart. Hmmm. Seems like good pricing though.

Can I buy this and have 4 people use it on 1 day, or is it for 1 person to go 4 separate times?

One person, four times. Biometrics and Disney's computer system prevent the former.

How much does it cost for a annual pass for a Florida resident?

lotus1197 01-05-2013 06:32 AM

The finger scanner is what they use...once it is scanned that ticket is locked to your fingerprint and if it doesn't match after the 1st use they will send you to guest services to remedy the issue.

Varies depending on which one you purchase...we are nearing the end of our 1st year with just seasonal passes for 2 adults, 1 child and it was $280ish to start and then $47 per mo for 12 months....we went 3 times this year a total of 12 days. It's a really nice perk for residents.

for these FL resident and the military passes (military salute 4-day) they enter in actual name/address info for each ticket (since they have to validate these types of tickets at the gate). No biometrics are done for kids (so if you really wanted to you can swap these tickets between kids, but if caught they could confiscate the tickets and flag you in your database).

Rarely to never. There is a FL Res. discount. That will save you a couple bucks on admission but its piddly.

If you are going to go more than one day a year grab a pass. $88+tax with $15 parking adds up quick.

If there IS any deal mousesavers will have info on it so check them out.

lowmazda 01-05-2013 07:39 AM

Parking is not included with OP's pass.

Currently it is $14/day

Years ago Universal had Buy 1 Year, Get 1 Year free. Its been quite a while for that though and with Harry Potter now the major draw, discounts are going to be minimal.

It could be the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) offer. They were offered discount passes until the end of 2012.

When we go, I buy tickets from one of the hospital gift shops .. I believe they are a small bit cheaper, but the other benefit is that you can do a tax write-off for the entire ticket expense as it's actually a charity donation (technically it's a donation and they give you the tickets free).

No deal...but I use the annual pass flex pay. I might go twice a year, but I get both parks, free parking, discounts for food and merchandise and discount for special events. Besides I write it off my taxes.. LOL..

Yes, wait until Feb where they will have the Mardi Gras Concert Seasonal pass specials. I got mine for 99 dollars 3 years ago, and I think they went for 139 last year.
With the Mardi Gras passes, you have access to both parks for the rest of the year with blackout dates. You will also have access to all their Fri/Sat/Sun concerts through April, and their summer concert series as well. (Just a note, I eventually received a letter from Universal stating they took out all my blackout dates, but this was during the recession so it may not happen to you).

Disney parking can be free, you just have to park somewhere that has Disney bus access (ie. disney downtown, disney boardwalk, some of their hotels etc).

cloudspear 01-05-2013 08:33 AM

Is this deal valid in person? I have disney gift card and the online order system doesnt allow paying with gc.

In theory, you can only park at either Downtown Disney or the water parks for free. Neither provides direct bus service to any of the theme parks. Parking at the Boardwalk isn't free for all day parking. The travel time alone might want to make some people pay the $14/day parking fee.

Did this recently. Pulled in to boardwalk, told them we were coming in to eat, walked right through to Epcot. Free all day parking.

holysin 01-05-2013 01:50 PM

Depending on your needs, if you're a FL resident consider the various level of annual passes. Just check blackout dates and what not.

I hate to burst your bubble, but this would not be tax deductible because you received something for your donation. It would only be deductible to the extent that your donation exceeds the fair market value of what you received.

subvsl 01-06-2013 04:07 AM

Biometrics? I don't remember biometrics being used.......... but it really doesn't matter whether they use the old/new system. You aren't scamming 4 people on one ticket

Before the fingerprint thing.... once the 4day ticket was scanned..... it was dead for that day..... and re-entry was via hand stamp.

Biometrics? I would imagine it helps deter people from buying a 7 day hopper and splitting it up between 7 people and 7 days in a row, but looks like it isn't based on the eBay deals I'm seeing.

PS - HAS DISNEYLAND RAISED THEIR PRICES BY 100% +/- SINCE FIVE YEARS AGO?

timothyjay 01-09-2013 06:20 PM

Just to make sure, this 4 day pass, it doesn't have to used consecutively does it? It can be used once, then used at another day within the time frame? Thanks!

that is correct and the good part on this is you can go to any Disney park not just magic kingdon, we did this last year and it was well worth it

johny3 01-10-2013 05:40 AM

good prices for FL residents, more in your title would be helpful, like
FL resident disney tickets - $33/day

(just trying to help)

jorgito2001 01-10-2013 05:51 AM

Last year they had the 3-day for $99 (got it even cheaper then that through AAA) and the tikets were only good through about mid-May..I guess with the opening of the New Fantasyland, they upped the pricing a tad, but adding the 4th day makes it worth it IMO, averages out to about the same price (per day) as last year! I'll likely be buying soon!

AldrichL 01-11-2013 02:01 PM

Also, if you have specific attraction in mind, check this site [wdwinfo.com] first. We went on that day (w/o checking) and a few of them are under construction.

Another, is to d/l the app for the park. It helps a lot if you want to get to as many attractions in a day. If you don't mind just to stroll around and to get into whichever, then the apps is not that helpful.

Would you happen to know where I can find the Disney app to download?

mrgodai 01-12-2013 08:17 AM

do they check ID to see if you are FL resident when you go into the park the next day? I know they check when you pick up the tickets, but i've only been going for 1 day only.

No. 1st day, they took your fingerprint, next day just bring the same finger. (: If there is a problem w/ fingerprint, yes, you will be sent to customer service and ID might be needed.

Itunes and/or Google Play, as usual. I think Amazon even have a few. All free ones, ofc. If you meant an app by Disney, no. However, I think they sell them inside the park; came in little device to track time, pass, and even signature.

My in-laws are coming in from over seas. Is it possible that I purchase 2 tickets between me and my wife, who are FL residents, and give the tickets to the in-laws and have them walk through the gate?

For resident tickets, you must show a valid FL ID(it states this in multiple places) and then on the 1st day you use the ticket it is locked to the fingerprint, on each addl day if the fingerprint doesn't match, they refer you to guest services, where there they will check your ID again if need be

thank you for the input.

from what I understand, Disney World require you to show FL IDs for everyone who purchased a FL resident ticket (excluding kids) when you pick them up at the window. However what if I picked them up with me and my wife's IDs, and gave them to my in-laws? do they check for FL IDs again at the turn table gate?

Wait, are you saying you and your wife get them and then give both to them?If so that would work in theory, but if any issues were to arise, they could have them taken and revoked.

When we got our tickets, they made me and my wife both show ID's and be present before they would issue them to us.From WDWInfo forums, i have read that any adult must show ID.Its better paying the non-resident rate, than taking the chance and wasting $240, as they do not issue refunds.

yeah, i'm thinking picking them up with me and my wife, and hand the tickets to my in-laws, go back and buy 2 more 3days passes.

only problem would be if they check IDs again when you enter the turn gate, or force you to finger print right when you pick up the tickets.

i read worst case scenario is they make you upgrade the tickets.

I believe they must be pre-purchased---not 100% sure though.I do know they don't ID at the gate, atleast they didn't check ours and we went 3 times last year. The only time was @ ticket pickup/Will Call.

I'm thinking about doing this when I go to the park as well. All I've heard is they ask for ID's at Will Call, that is it.. I wonder if they print your name on the ticket though? Even if so, they probably will only activate the tickets, and have you scan your finger. So if your in-laws fingers don't change, you should be good.

Please keep us posted!

buy your in-law tickets that say ages 3-9, the price is the same, then hand it to them, they don't check ID for those.

plus they didnt require fingerprint when we went probably because it was too busy.

Have you done this before with anyone over the age of 9? I agree that they won't check ID, but you'd think there may be a risk involved.

they won't check ID for the kids, but dont they require everyone, including the kids, to be present when you pick up the tickets?

Also there are always someone at the turnstiles and won't they catch an adult using a child ticket?

joogle 01-28-2013 12:49 PM

The only time anyone at the gate is concerned is when you slide your ticke and the red beep comes on.

No one at the counter checks who's with me, i was at will call gave them my Florida ID and my wifes, for my younger kids they don't ask for any ID.

The tickets look the same nothing distinguishing child vs adult, when they ask for name of child you put your relatives name down.

I'm just saying the price is exactly the same, if you run into any problem you can say you accidentally must have chosen age 3-9 when placing the order online.

Thanks for the info. quick question do the child ticket have the world "child" written on it? Also when you slide your ticket through the turnstyle have you noticed if the word child come up on the screen or is it just the green light?

Killendino 01-28-2013 01:54 PM

The folks at the turnstiles expect adults will scan their fingers and wait for the light to turn green before sending them through. Won't this system be upset when an adult is not prompted for their fingerprint? Or is there an override that the person at the turnstile activates when it's a child? Will the system accept a fingerprint in the first recording, if it's a child's ticket?

There are a lot of questions here, and I would not feel comfortable testing this without some kind of confirmation. That assumes I could get past the scam that is buying a child's ticket for a grown-up person. Hey, you're grown-up, why don't you act like one and buy a grown-up ticket?

Urbndevelopmnt 01-28-2013 07:08 PM

I'm going to wdw tomorrow. It doesn't seem like there's any deals for non fl residents. How did anyone get a 400.00 pap?
Also does anyone have any tips for wdw ticket discounts?

Fireworks 01-28-2013 07:15 PM

The 1 park per day limitation kills this for me.

Killendino 01-29-2013 11:52 AM

I bought a set of tickets last year. The best legit prices I could find were on Undercover Tourist.

When I got them, I took pictures of the ticket #'s. This is important bcause if you lose them, that is the only way you can get them replaced. Without those numbers, you are done.

joogle 01-29-2013 11:58 AM

It lists the age, ex. 10+ or ages (3-9)

last year i used my brothers ticket once for myself and once for my wife, as he only went two of the days. plus they never did the fingerprint last year so had no issues, slide it through, turns green, continue forward.

last year i used my brothers ticket once for myself and once for my wife, as he only went two of the days. plus they never did the fingerprint last year so had no issues, slide it through, turns green, continue forward.

Thanks joogle that's what I figured. We go a couple times a year and I knew they frequently turn off the fingerprint system especially when it's real busy. I'll pm you anymore question because some of these folks act like ..........well let's just say they dont play nice

Have you checked Costco? I know that they offer discounted two-park tickets in my town (Avon, Massachusetts).

There is a promo-- from Jan 7 to March 11: No need to be a California resident though.

Here are adult prices, and all tickets are park hoppers:

3 day- $220
4 day- $245
5 day- $260

Anyone buy these tickets yet? Still very curious to how they look, what they check etc. My trip is coming up soon.

Normal paper Disney ticket with the mag strip on the back. Checked our drivers license when we picked up the tickets. Finger scan at entrance, but not for kids. One nice thing is we were able to pick up the tickets the night before at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney, as opposed to spending the time at the entrance in the morning.

And parking is $14, not $12 as mentioned above.

As long as they were non expiring tickets you shouldn't have a problem. You can also call Disney cs and give them the long number thats on the back of the tickets by the bar code and they can check the system to see if they are still good
