Just got back from touring some stores. Saw the display at one CVS and confirmed prices at 2 others. Here's a list from what I can remember.

I only got the 7" Tablets for $25 + $3 recycling fee. The signs said that the 7" LCD DVD and the 13" HDTV had $16 recycling fees but I don't understand why the 7" LCD DVD would have a bigger one than the 7" Tablet since they have the same size screen.

Here's a review of the tablet. It has HDMI. It works as a USB host. You can plug keyboards, drives, etc into it.

How do we get the 20 off coupon I updated my email and nothing

The last time I checked out at CVS, the cashier said if I updated my rewards email I would get 20% off my next order. I passed but when I got home I thought I was an idiot for passing. So I checked CVS online and it indeed say that if I update my rewards email I would get a 20% off coupon. I was an idiot and didn't do it. So when I bought the tablets tonight, the mgr turned the register screen around and showed me where it said if I updated my email that I would get a 20% off coupon for next time. So I did. You might have to log into your rewards account.

I'm not seeing it either. :(

This. I just got mine in email. It excludes clearance. I was hoping to use it on the 13" HDTVs tomorrow.

Updated my email earlier today and got the 20% coupon. Email with 20% off instructed me to scan my rewards card at the kiosk in the store in order to get the coupon. Coupon is 20% off purchase brick and mortar for non-sale items so not sure if that would work on these discounted electronics. I think this will be YMMV depending on the manager on duty? :confused:

Depends on the store. At the first store I was at, they were all just siting there on shelves with the shelf tags. That's where I took the photo. In the other two stores it was a "mess", the words of the mgr. In those stores, the home theatre system was stacked in front of photo and everything else was just in a pile on the counter. If you don't see them, ask for them. They can check inventory. If it's in inventory and you can't see it, then it might be in lock up somewhere.

Dude, a lot depends on the mgr. At one store, a worker found one for me up at the photo counter. I knew they had 5 so I asked if I could get the others. She looked and looked and couldn't find them. She said she would go ask the mgr to see if they are in lock up. I could hear the conversation. He basically said there's no way they sell for $25. He comes up to the counter and tells me that they don't sell for $25. It's a glitch. The girl working the register said it scans at $25. He then grabbed a Polaroid, scanned that and said it's $100. I said it's a different product. He said that the Polaroid is the substitute for the Craig and that the tablets never go on clearance. He would call corporate in the morning and then call me if it's not a glitch. I said OK but do you have the other 4. He looked and looked and looked and couldn't find them. Finally he called the photo mgr and she told him where they were. He also asked her if the 75% off clearance was legit and she said yes. He then sold them to me for $25 but took out a pen and wrote "no returns" on the receipt. It all worked out in the end.

Not a thing. The DVD that comes with it is useless though. It only has composite and s-video output. Seriously, look at the picture I posted. It says so on the box. Those things must have been made like 10 years ago.

To me the $19 13" HDTV is interesting. If I didn't have a recycle fee it would be a no brainer. The thing is the sign says the fee is $16 which basically doubles the price. I'm not sure that's right though. There is no $16 fee. The fee for a 13" TV should be $8. But the CVS registers are all messed up. They only charged a $3 fee for the 7" tablet. It should have been $6.

Wow what a hassle! Glad it worked out in the end. They pretty much have to honor what the register rings up according to their training manuals, no such thing as a glitch ;) You are one lucky dude! What are you going to do with 4 tablets though?

It's likely part of their Christmas clearance mark downs, not all stores are at 75%. Store here is 75% but most aren't, however no sign of any of these things.

just went to about 4 or 5 local cvs's in arlington VA area. they didn't have it, and the craigs dvd players and tvs aren't on any discount, the ones they did have.

In this case, calling ahead is your friend.

I had many cheapo android tablet and you will on get frustrated with with these and waste your time. Once the novelty ware off (pretty quick), these will just end up as eWaste.

I had to make a couple of other different errand runs anyway, and they were all along the route.

None in the Stony Brook, Long Island (NY) area. They did have a older version of the craig tablet with 800MHz processor and 256mb RAM. Same price of $25 but definitely not worth getting.

Just got back from CVS in Monroe NY. The manager was standing at the front counter when I walked in. I asked him if he had any of the Craig tablets and I heard they were on sale for $25. He told me that I heard correctly and he had one in his office. He went in the back and got it, sure enough it rang up for $25. He said "gotta love after christmas sales" Same model with 1.3Ghz processor. I forgot to ask if he had any more, but you an probably call if you live in this area. Went to two stores in Central NJ and the 13" TV's and scanned them at the Kiosk and they came up as regular price at $149. Did not see any tablets at those two stores. I would like a TV for the Bathroom or camping and a tablet for my son...maybe next week?

I went to the CVS stores in Old Bridge and in Marlboro and the prices were the same - full price.

They did this last year as well. I got a portable DVD player for 19.99 and have been pleased with it.

You can go to one CVS and ask them to check stock at all the other CVS's. That's how I knew one store had 5. The mgr even gave me a printout listing all the stores with stock ala Target. The thing they can't check is price for some reason.

I just got one. It was neat for a kid but it would only connect to my wifi within 10 feet. I took it back. The gave my money back but didn't want to due to clearance so beware.

Plenty of everything at the 75% off at the Paoli, PA store. Only thing on the list I didn't check was the HDTV, normal price was $149.99 vs. the $79.99 listed in the OP. Got the tablet and the portable DVD player.

Briefly played with the tablet in the parking lot... seemed responsive enough, but the display sucked - awful brightness even when cranked all the way up and viewing angles horrible. Also uses a proprietary charger, good luck replacing if lost... For $100 would be a rip, for $25, though, I could see it as a viable toy.

Also got a cake pop maker for $5 as a gag gift for the wife. ;)

EDIT: It looks like the model tablet I got was different - CMP741D. As far as I can tell by specs on the box as well as a quick online search, it's identical to the CMP741E, except for the lack of hardware home button and offset camera.

its decent, i got one the year prior on clearance. not great, not bad, worth the $8 though.

My receipt says "Returns accepted with receipt until 3/10/13". There is nothing on the receipt that prohibits returns of this merchandise. The clerk didn't make any mention of this, but the wording on the receipt should override any verbal statement.

He scanned that. $37 again. I stand there looking at them trying to figure out which one to buy. A guy comes up behind me and says "How much are those!?!?!". The mgr looks at me and says $37. He then asks if they have anymore. The mgr says "Let me check". He comes out with another RCA. The guy buys it. I finally settle on the RCA as well and leave the Craig. The Craig had one better feature, a VGA port. Yes I still use those. They both have HDMI and the RCA also has component.. But between a Craig and a RCA, I'll go RCA. Yes, I know that RCA isn't much better since they are just a rebrander now but still. $37 for a 13" HDTV w/dvd player. Not bad.

Man, you scored! I bought a "CrystalView" tablet on Black Friday at HEB+ for $49, and it looks identical to what you just got for $10. I wasn't disappointed for $49. For $10, a no brainer. I use it for Kindle/reading and checking email occasionally.

I hope it's not the same Vivitar camcorder CVS was selling last year. I got one for $9.99 on clearance. I wasn't expecting anything great, but the picture quality was beyond bad. I couldn't believe that it was being sold at any price.

Yeah ya did! Scored the same $9.99 deal on BOTH the tablets and the Netbook/Tablet combo thing. OP, might need to add the $14.99 for the 13" dvd/tv combo to your post (had about 12 of these) and $0.99 for the change sorters. I'd say I made out pretty well...:look:

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it, they also have Craig zipper earbuds in with the Xmas clearance. They were marked down to $2. I like having extra earbuds around for when my headphones go out or get lost (I tend to wind my cord around my mp3 player, and so the cords eventually fray). Don't know if they are any good or how silly that zipper will look, but I'm not too bothered about perfection and even if they are pretty blah they will do me in a pinch next time my headphones die until I can get better ones.

Did not get the tablet. But got two kodak minicamcorder for $12.75 each (original $49.99). The store had a sign of 50%off but when scanned it came out 75% off. Not a bad deal for 2 camcorder for a total of $26. They are waterproof too up to 3m ;) and came with rechargable battery.

Some of the TVs are last years models, at my store these were scanning full price, but we sold them for 75% off too. If you have a friendly store you might ask if they will give it to you for that price. They can go to the list of items that are clearanced and see that this years model, the one with the DVDplayer in it, is clearanced.

I just called my local CVS for the 7" tablets and they sell it for $99.99, not $9.99 or $24.99. so I dont know where i can prove to them that it is on sale?

If they have them in stock then I would go anyway, they will automatically ring clearance, it is not something the store does, it is sent down from corp. now whether or not it is 50 or 75 percent off does depend on the store, all should be 75 at this point. The person you talked to probably just gave you the price without scanning it.

If they are checking prices at register make sure they scan your cvs card before they price check it... I bought something and it rang up full price till they scanned my cvs card...

I'd appreciate it if anybody in the Greater Northeast Philadelphia/Bensalem area could let me know if they tried any stores for the tablet and they were OOS. I'd have to take the bus since I have no car.

this is probably why when we call they say they don't have any, they probably are looking with all the other electronics???

The last Craig touchscreen device I bought at CVS worked for about a day. I e-mailed customer service and it literally took a month to get a reply, which essentially was a broken English version of go jump in a lake ...

I was just scoping out the clearance at the CVS's too and I know I saw some of those tablets. They had a raised bowl feeder I wanted for my doggie on sale so grabbed that. Reason I'm writing back to you is because u hit all my stores! I live in Bethpage but which CVS did u hit.There's at least 2 but probably more than that.

Check out craigslist and have a good laugh. Guy in south philly is listing a bunch of them for $350 saying he bought em for $500. Scummy.

Scored a second one at #8886, 1706 OCEANSIDE BOULEVARD, OCEANSIDE, CA 92054
$25; this store has virtually nothing left...there was something, but the manager was unenthused.

One by the Carlsbad Mall didn't have SQUAT except hot broads walking around buying their sex drive-killing drugs.

I have yet to actually see the original Craig tablet, let alone it's new $10 rate.

The reviews suck, but they're mainly from morons that couldn't figure out that WiFi requires SD card present. $25 is pretty much a throw-away price anyway, so I don't care....perhaps I'll feed it to The Cat.

I went to 6 stores today but none had the $10 tablet. Also, none of the electronics was marked down. But I did get some other random deals from their clearance, like prezel maker for $5 and pie maker for $2.50 and other junk like that.

got the tablet for $50 (originally $99)...not that great of a deal but it is okay. also got the RCA HDTV and DVD combo for $40. TU

Which stores did you go? I checked four Alexandria, VA stores and no luck. It didn't appear like they ever sold tablets at all. All I saw were Craig brand dvd players and some TVs.

Did u try its wifi yet? I dont seee why inserting.the sd card will help the wifi connection. Plus, if that is required then it should be mentioned big and bold on the sticker. I dont think they r morons like u think.

just checked 5 stores on my way home from work, 1 in sherman oaks and 4 in burbank, ca. found the last tablet for $25 at one of the stores in burbank... there were a handful of 13" tv/dvds left at the store on hollywood way & verdugo

My rating on the tablet just decreased by a full point from 3.5 to 2.5 (out of 5, 5 being a Nexus 7). The screen is almost unbearable. In portrait mode, it looks translucent. The off axis is so bad, even at a few degrees, you loose resolution. I'd almost describe it like watching a 3D movie without the glasses.

To top it off, the Amazon App store quit working. I deleted it, then re-loaded it. Still nothing. The Get-jar app store has a bunch of popular free apps, but none of them work. I really didn't want to root this thing, but it's looking like it has to be rooted to be usable. And with the 3D dizzying effect of the screen, this thing is going to be reset to factory, and flipped on CL for the first $65 cash offer (or a lot less, but that's where I start).

I can't wait to ditch this thing. Even rooted, the screen is not tolerable. No one missed anything here. Trust me. Wait for a Nook Color or Nook Tablet on ebay. This is not a good budget tablet.

I couldn't get my hands on the 7" Craig tablet. But i managed to get this 7" tablet/(laptop?) for $25 and this cool phone thingy that connects to my cell phone 3.5mm jack for $2.50. I couldn't find anything the OP listed and their DVD players/portable DVD player weren't really discounted..

CVS in Stamford, CT had 3 Craig tablets at $24.99, though they were the CMP738b model - 800Mhz processor, Android 2.2, no camera. The CrystalView XT rang up at 49.99 :-(

Just got one from cvs across my house after reading this thread. I asked the cashier and she went looked for it under the photo dept register and came back telling me there's none left. I took a peek in there and saw there's one sitting there so i asked her to take it out and it rang up $24.99. Went to the next closest store and the manager told me she did a search earlier and no cvs in 15 miles radius have it in stock but managed to scored the wireless router for $6.95. So, don't trust their inventory checker.

Got the tablet rooted with netflix and google play. Got rid of alot of junk. Set the CPU to run a little higher. Not bad for $25. Nothing great though.

I was bored today and me and my friends went all over LA looking for this $10.

I personally check 7 different CVS stores, I basically checked all of west hollywood, and west los angeles including the wilshire, la brea, and la cienega area.

Just trying to save you guys some time.

I searched about 3 stores in my area, at the second store I searched I was able to grab the microwave for 14.99 plus I received 1.50 back in CVS dollars to spend at a later date. I then used it towards another purchase at the same store on the Christmas items they on sale. At the third store the associate was kind enough to call other stores in my area and ask if they had the 13" tv with the dvd player and they were all out. Some stores even claimed that they did not receive any of the items during the holiday season. Nonetheless thanks for the heads up. I definitely repped those that contributed on the first page of this thread. :woot:

I went to a few nearby stores and no luck, and they told me they had no way to check inventory of other nearby stores so I gave up. Maybe tomorrow I'll do the unthinkable and give some stores a call...
