Wonder if it will be similar to last year's promo where it is based on whatever people pick the most.

Engineer 01-20-2013 06:42 AM

How do they keep you from voting 2 times with 2 e-mails and 2 addresses (example work and home)?

fa254 01-20-2013 06:44 AM

This is a big money maker for some. Last year people were selling codes after the game was over for $5 on ebay

cupcake42 01-20-2013 06:44 AM

tails!

Microtubule 01-20-2013 06:47 AM

I have like 100 accounts so this will be wonderful. Hope the codes don't expire within a week, though.

if it works like last year....they tally up "america's vote" and then if that matches the coin toss, every member wins no matter what you voted. Hoping it works out

Isn't PAPA50 still giving 50 percent off now, though?

Giving PG's my address, phone, and email is NOT worth a $10 buck pizza. Especially a crappy one

lol. yes, you are on slick deals so that is quite a funny question. Vote as many times as you'd like ;)

Volume_external 01-20-2013 07:51 AM

Is it possible to use fake name? Will the name be on the promotion code?

Footballfan1 01-20-2013 07:53 AM

Just make 2 accounts and vote for each. Guaranteed winner. even allowed according to the rules. 1 account per person, but 4 accounts per household. last year everyone had to guess right, this year it is each individual who guesses right

DogAndPony 01-20-2013 07:56 AM

No. It's whatever side lands up whenever they flip the coin at the Super Bowl.
Vote once for each and you are guaranteed a pizza since there are only two sides to a coin.

ripcurl 01-20-2013 08:08 AM

Quite possibly the most substandard pizza of any chain. Little Caesar's tastes better. Then again, in for one if it's free.

I'm pretty sure their thin crust pizza is made of pre-made (pre-cooked) dough. At least that's what I noticed when I peeked at their kitchen.

I do get thin crust once in a while when I get sick of the regular...

I was just about to mention this, also ... CEO is worth HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS ... (private jet, multiple mansions, the whole 9 yards), and less than five months ago was grousing about Obama forcing him to provide healthcare for all his workers ...

Comedy Central's Steven Colbert, responding to CEO John Schnatter's claim that the insurance law could add as much as 14 cents to the cost of a pizza, said: "That's three times the value of a Papa John's pizza." :lmao:

... but rep to the OP, anyway!

Fiancee and I did 4 votes total, using 4 email addresses, same home address for all 4, names of us + names of our 2 cats, and for the 4 phone numbers used our cells + our google voice #s. Should be good enough to guarantee two pizzas without having to add fake addresses.

Right right. Because Obamacare *really* does a whole lot for the majority of part-time workers. In fact, all it really does is make companies cut you off at 39 hours.

Also, it's cute how you spam all the threads that are not in line with your boring lib talking points. Please, grow some critical thought process, kthx.

Cause it costs almost nothing for this promotion in terms of raw costs. Pizza is a cheap thing to make (think about it its just bread cheese tomato sauce and toppings).

Health care is a very expensive cookie compared to this yearly one off promotion. And they probably will get lots of new folks to try this pizza.

According to the rules, you can vote 4 times per household, so that seems unlikely as most people share one internet account in a residence. All you have to do to win 2 free pizzas without breaking the rules is use the same address 4 times, with different first names and email addresses and vote each way twice.

It's Papa Johns, not Papa Gohns-->PJ's.

Those of us who order things online tend to give merchants our address, phone number, and email address, whether to Amazon or Papa Johns. So for those of us who like Papa Johns and order their pizza online this is a non-issue.

And you're not still using your personal/correspondence email for orders/deals/rebates, are you?

Thank you for taking the time to thread crap. Have a nice day.

Speaking of critical thought process, facts are crucial to any critical thinking.

First of all, the law defines 30+ hours as full-time, so they'd actually have to cut off at 29 hours.

Second, companies that do that will be hurting themselves in other ways, because cutting hours for current employees means that you have to hire more employees (because the amount of work doesn't change), which means costs advertising the jobs, spending time going through applications and interviewing, training costs, etc. Add to that the lack of efficiency for a while as the new employees learn, not to mention a normal turnover % means that you'll be replacing more employees more often. So it's not an automatic 1) Cut hours, 2) PROFIT! situation, there's a lot more to owning a business than that.

Keep working on those critical thinking skills, tho, it's nice to see a conservative actually interested in that rather than just holding those "intullectials" with their fancy "book-learnin'" in disdain.

1.) I'm a registered Independent.
2.) 40 used to be full time. Apologies. But thanks for pointing out the fact that its even worse for part-timers than I thought. FYI, The ones with obamacare (full-timers) *will* be picking up the slack, or they'll hire more grunts who they don't have to give care to. lrn2business. Nice try at cherry-picking though...
3.) Your obvious disdain for opinions other than your own and "all dem rednecks be tryna take our free sheeit" mindset will take you far. Screw logic! heh

Papa John’s Super Bowl XLVII Coin Toss Experience - call heads/tails right and win a pizza! 2/2/13

http://www.papajohnscointoss.com

Winners will receive a promotion code good for a FREE LARGE 1-TOPPING PIZZA, which can only be redeemed online. The promotion code will be emailed to winners on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 by 11:59 p.m. PST.

During the Promotion Period, visit http://www.papajohnscointoss.com (“Website”) and register for the Promotion by providing your first name, last name, street address, city, state, zip code, email address, phone number, and age verification. Then, cast your vote by making your prediction of what the results will be of the Super Bowl XLVII (47) Coin Toss by following the instructions on the Website and selecting either “heads” or “tails” (collectively, an “Entry”). Your selection is your prediction as to how the Coin Toss of Super Bowl XLVII (47) will land as selected by the NFL team that makes the call on the day of the game.
Limit: One Entry per person into the Promotion during the entire Promotion Period. The Entry will be awarded to the primary individual listed on the email account, not to multiple individuals who utilize the same account. Limit of four (4) Entries per household, which is determined by the physical address associated with the email address. Any attempt by any individual entrant to obtain more than one (1) Entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, accounts, or any other methods will void all of that entrant's Entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any Entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register for the account will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential award recipient may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
5. How to Receive an Award: Each eligible entrant who cast his/her vote for the correct outcome of the Coin Toss for Super Bowl XLVII (47) on their Entry will automatically receive an Award pursuant to Section 6 below. Award will be a unique, one-time use promotion code distributed via email by 11:59:59 P.M. PST on Monday, February 4, 2013 to the email address provided by entrant at the time of entry. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of entrant’s email address. If a potential recipient of any award cannot be contacted, the potential recipient forfeits his/her award. Receiving an award is contingent upon compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Unclaimed awards will not be awarded.

Rules: http://www.papajohnscointoss.com/...terms.html

Advertising costs money and is an investment. He can run his business as he chooses, and you can choose not to eat there just as I choose to never eat Ben & Jerry's.

Besides why should any company be required to subsidize health insurance for employees?

"Do I have to create a papajohns.com account to vote?

Sorry, but you are wrong on this.

It's different this year. It's a individual vote. So if you call heads and it's tails you don't get anything but maybe a % off an order but if you did call tails you will win a pizza. It's not a group vote. Read the terms and the FAQ'S.

And you don't need a rewards account to win.

Sorry, I was going by last year's promotion, I just figured it'd be the same this year.

I remember last year people who didn't have Papa Rewards accounts never got their codes and there were pages of people complaining and having to contact Papa John's Customer Service to get a code sent.

That's pretty bizarre that they would do an "individual vote". I mean, people with multiple e-mails are basically guaranteed success.

Thanks for the idea, 2 heads, 2 tails. Not being greedy, I could do 50 heads and 50 tails if I wanted to. Ok, three of each and I stopped.

I'm not complaining! ill take it!

Now he'll have to give out 1 million pizzas and have to pay for Obama care.

I think it limits you to 10 per IP address or computer. Anyway I am surprised you are all splitting your votes up instead of voting the same on all for double or nothing! But I guess it's safer to get 5 free pizzas than a chance at 10, since they might not send you any if you win that many.

Not if he reduces their hours to part time. The school system my husband works for is having to pay an additional $2 million to cover the increased health care costs associated with Obamacare so they're going to probably have to cut personnel and cut programs for next school year. A friend of mine says their library personnel have already been told they're having to cut their hours to 20 per week so they won't have to provide them insurance. (not to thread jack this thread)....just saying.

You're not going to abuse the system and fill it out with 50 different emails?

No, I'm not. I was just sitting her telling my hubby how nuts people here are. I love a good deal, but I won't be dishonest to get one.

Look, the people that voted for Obama mostly don't care about that stuff. I'm not saying I support it.

iggypop123 01-20-2013 03:49 PM

it isnt even worth exploiting this. they really downgrade the quiality of their free stuff, because its a giveaway.

vairox 01-20-2013 03:50 PM

In for one... btw I don't think it's that he doesn't want to raise the price of pizza by 4 cents to pay for it, he just knows how greedy his fellow man is and knows that they don't want to pay 4 cents more for their neighbor to have healthcare, that about sums it up.

Never actually had Papa Johns, there's only 1 in this city... but it's kinda troubling that people are in such a need as to make multiple emails to collect as many free pizzas as they can, I can probably direct these folks to a food bank in their area where they can get more food, better food, and with a lot less effort. :lmao:
