AmazonLocal: $7 for $30 to use at ScoreBig.com

Amazon Local deal for ScoreBig. You get a $30 credit to use towards tickets for many different events including sports and theatre. ScoreBig is interesting. You submit a bid for the tickets and they will either accept it or offer you a counter bid. I've used the site once and I managed to get baseball tickets for something like 40% off with a coupon. I wish I'd had this voucher then. The real catch is they don't tell you exactly where the seats are - you bid on seats in a particular price range. |
This post can and should be edited by users like you :)
AVOID SCOREBIG AT ALL COSTS. THEY HAVE INCREASED TICKET PRICES IN THEIR SYSTEMS AND MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO USE THE CODE.
Ignore ^ The code "adam15off" can be used as well. It is an automatic 15 dollars off any event. Only bad thing is you can only use one code. Scorebig often has coupons they post to their site and this voucher says it can' t be used with other offers. Right now HOCKEY30 is $30 off $200
|
These vouchers are usually a great deal if you're not buying expensive tickets. I've only bought Nationals baseball game tickets on here and I've gotten 2 seats for $10-$15 TOTAL after using a $30 or $40 credit that I buy for under $10. I usually pick the 3 star seats and they're field level in the outfield.
|
Do they charge anything for shipping? I see there are no fees, which is awesome.
|
It is basically like Priceline's "Name Your Own Price", except for tickets. You pick a general "star level" of seats and make your bid.
|
this was 8 for $40 worth of tickets on amazon local a short while ago, but not bad if you didnt get that one
|
I live in KC and I have got two 3rd row seats to the Royals in late August for $53 total. Shipping is free if I remember correctly.
|
Can this be combined with Google Offers $9 for $30 deal?

Can you just print out the tickets? I'm thinking of grabbing a voucher for a hockey game :)

Promotional value expires on january 30, 2014

Just a heads up: These usually expire after a few months, (the last Amazon Local for Scorebig expires in July).
THIS Amazon Local voucher expires January 30th. Good deal if you have tickets in mind in the next week or so, but keep this in mind before you buy. Oops...expires 2014!! Thanks for the correction The google offer Is good until May 9th. |

While it does expire January 30th, it doesn't expire until 2014 not 2013. :) |
Awesome. This made for some great Braves games last season. Glad they are keeping these promotions going. Although, if you buy more then 2 tickets, the discount gets stretched pretty thin. It would be nice to combine discounts. Makes it hard when we have a group of people tailgating, then my girl and I sit by ourselves. N41 anyway!
|
this is a good deal, i used one a month ago to see denver nuggets. this time i bought 2 (one as a gift) well worth it!
|
I signed up for their email deal and there is a coupon for $10 off. It is probably not one time use only - SBSAVE10

I bought one this morning through my email. I live in Portland, OR and got 2 tickets to Portland Trailblazers vs Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday March 12 for $0.00 (not including $7 that I paid to Amazon).
I chose the 1 star tickets which is a nose bleed section, but it's okay. I put the bid for $15 for each ticket which equals to $30 for 2. Don't forget to copy & paste the code, hit apply and the total is $0. $7 for 2 tickets to NBA game not too bad. :). |
Can you stack these somehow?
|
I just used my $40 voucher last week for the last Celtics home game of the regular season. Although, I am not completely happy with the seats, I can't complain much considering I got 2 for only $18 each.
|
I'm looking at going to an Avalanche game in Denver at the Pepsi center. It has 6-star tickets listed but when you select it nothing is highlighted on the seating map, anyone have any idea on what they are for?
Also anyone know if you can stack the voucher with the $10 first time purchase code? Thanks. |
Anyone know if they do Spring Training in AZ? Heading down there in March. I couldn't find anything on their website about it.
|
Just got a pair of tickets to a Bruins game for $90. Thanks!

i have purchased several tickets from scorebig.com and the way you get the tickets is slightly different. your tickets can either be emailed to you or they will fedex it to you. it's up to them and not up to you.
since i got the $5 for $40 last April, i've managed to save a ton of money going to games i love. I saw clippers vs mavs earlier this month for $70 after using the coupon. and scored lower bowl seats for the clippers vs spurs on 2/21 for $110. 2 nose bleed seats for clippers vs wizards for free. HONESTLY, for basketball games at staples center, you will ALWAYS END UP WITH CORNER OR WRAP AROUND SEATS. there is no way in hell they will ever send you sideline seats. They give you false hope in thinking you'll get sideline seats, but that will never be the case. As for hockey, since the rink is o munch longer, a 5- star seat will get you sideline view. i picked up 2 tickets to the kings vs canucks for $70 in section 102! plus i still have 3 more coupons. NOT FOR SALE. don't ask. |
BTW, since this deal popped up, they "jacked up" the price. the % saved went from 50% off most hockey games to 25% off. I'm looking at the 5- 6-star games for the los angeles kings. Though, i find it difficult to want to see them play since they've made 2 goals in 2 games and got outscored 8-2 in those 2 games.
|
HU, I would be careful if you are thinking about abusing this. I got all my accounts banned and my tix not shipped because I bought more than one voucher (ridiculous because they offer it on every single deal website.... and yet I cannot buy more than 1 on amazonlocal)

Also, what did the deal sites do about the cancellations? |

You might have received a code for $5 - $15 to spend on Amazon Local. Check your e-mail to see if you got one.

Six star seats are the best in the house, right along the glass. They appear in brown right along the edge of the rink on the seat map so they are a bit hard to see. Also, you can't stack coupons or vouchers on the site. Hope this helps! Morgan ScoreBig.com |

Seems impossible to have a winning bid, even when your chances are supposedly "very good". It always asks you to up your bid.

BEWARE. ALL 4-STAR/ PREMIER seats AT STAPLES CENTER BOUGHT THROUGH SCOREBIG (don't know about other venues) WILL GIVE YOU THE WORST SECTIONS. (see blue colored seating chart) 4-STAR at a laker/clipper game gets you those far FAR FAR CORNER SECTIONs. THEY TEASE YOU WITH THOSE NEAR BASELINE SEATS. NOTHING BUT A SCAM. 99.9999% of the time you will be seated in section 114, 117, 105, 108 (see red colored seating chart) PREMIER SEATING IS EVEN WORSE. YOU HAVE ALLLLLLLLL THESE SECTIONS AND SO MANY SEATS WITH BETTER SIDELINE VIEW THAT YOU'D HAVE A CHANCE OF BETTER SEATS. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. SAME OLD, SAME OLD. YOU GET THE FAR END SECTIONS. WITH THE SHITTIEST VIEWS. I HAVE 20/15 VISION BUT WHAT THE HELL CAN YOU REALLY SEE AT THE OTHER END OF THE COURT? 99.99999% OF THE TIME, YOU WILL BE SEATED IN SECTIONS 1,9, 10, 18. I'm glad another scorebig deal has popped up here. Rather than venting my displeasure in false advertising to one single CSR, I can now let the whole community know just how big of a scam this website is. |
So this AmazonLocal code has been a HUGE bust.
I have had multiple bids placed on tickets that it says I have a good chance at (e.g., an event that has listed tickets for $80 and average savings is 50%, I will bid $45, which is >50% of ticket value), I always end up not getting the tickets when I use my Amazon code. In other words, it sure looks like ScoreBig has an algorithm in their system that jacks up the price so that they don't lose a single penny. I will be contacting Amazon to complain, and expect a refund on my purchase. Anyone want to bet that Morgan from ScoreBig.com will not make an appearance anymore in this thread to discuss this? |
i love Scorebig, i don't know what the guy 2 posts above is ranting about.
Best way to use Scorebig is have Stubhub open in another window and see what the going rate is for an event and then bid accordingly |

Here is the ticket site: https://www.scorebig.com/?a=amazon2013 Slightly less slick deal than previously but still a great money saver for those who are planning to take their date out for valentines. |
|
Looked at the site. This bidding thing is a waste of time. They should just mark it up a certain percentage and be done with it. It's not like the hotel industry...if you want to attend an event you want to attend. If you have to waste time bidding and you can't afford it anyway, you just won't go.
Not like a hotel--if you're in a city and you need a place to stay--you'll probably bid until you get a hotel. |
Warriors are making the playoffs, this could be a good deal to see them. Can you buy 1 voucher each from different Amazon accounts (or gift them to yourself) and then stack them? Or you can only use one voucher per transaction? Is this voucher combinable with coupon codes?
|
Quote:
One voucher per transaction, and the vouchers are not combinable w/coupon codes. They are combinable w/referral or other credits that might have been applied to your account. |
I've had nothing but good experiences. Let's be honest, Lakers season ticket holders are going to sell them on Stubhub or Craigslist where they can get top dollar. You're not likely to find court side seats on a fairly lesser known site.
I've used them for numerous Angels and Dodger games and consistently have gotten solid seats at far below retail (and without service fees). |
Site was awesome for me last year on Angel tickets. If you want good seats, bid on the top stars. Increment your bid every 24 hours. And don't users set the prices? Of course they'll fluctuate.
I bought field level seats for well below stubhub... |

I guess at first sign-up, Scorebig will give you a signup bonus credit and that's the only time you can combine this with it to get more discount. |
