Be thankful you missed that "great deal". I wasn't that lucky. I ordered it on the 31st, and it arrived on the 5th without a power supply brick, cord, or vga cable. "No problem, " I said to myself. "Accidents happen and this is Newegg. They will reconcile this quickly." Years ago, that would have definitely been true, but not now. Instead of just opening a monitor on their end and sending me the replacement part, they offered me the power cord and vga cable ONLY. This is a monitor that requires a power brick to operate so that was a totally useless solution. And they absolutely refused to just open a monitor on their end and send me the replacement parts. Then they tried adding insult to injury and suggest that I contact the manufacturer for support. The manufacturer's link that is provided on Newegg's site leads to a blank page, the email is unreachable, and the phone number is disconnected. This means that Newegg must have done business with some shady supplier and is trying to pass this shady deal off to their formerly loyal customers. After several attempts to chat on their website that never seemed to connect like they did in years past, I called Newegg directly. The first time, I was told that if they had the parts in the warehouse, they would get back to me in 2 days or to contact the manufacturer for support. I had to inform THEM that there was no manufacturer support on any of the contact options they provided. Then she tried telling me that refurbished items may not come with all the parts that come with new items. I pointed out to her that it was not mentioned on that product's images and the brick could plainly be seen. This wasn't some optional component, it was a REQUIRED one. Not being satisfied with that, I called back the following day. That was when I was sent an email informing me that I had the no power brick option or to RMA the monitor. Of course I chose the latter since they felt that opening a box that was already at their location was some impossible task. Six days later, I was finally able to get the monitor to the UPS store because of some of their ridiculous return procedures that I luckily saw before I returned it. And if I am LUCKY, it will be at least a month later that I will actually be able to turn the monitor on for the first time because they absolutely refused to cross ship the new one. One reason I am posting this on every site I can think of is to negate any "all parts weren't returned" crap that they may try when all the parts were never sent. This one incident has sullied several years of positive relations with Newegg. I can never just quickly recommend them to other people again as I have in the past because somewhere along the line, they forgot who made them the "brand" that they are today. Wish me luck that the replacement monitor has no issues whatsoever.
