Diablo 3 is $29.99 too much. I wish I can go back in time and stop myself from purchasing that game at full price.

No clue what he thinks is wrong, but it is a lot of fun and it is easy to make quite a lot of money playing it.

If you have a time machine and can go back to the first month or so it was live. Gold sells for 0.30 per million now.

strange that this set off my 3ds alert. hmm.

EarForce N11 in the OP is designed specifically for the Wii U and the 3DS.

Hey, at least you got a kick in on Diablo 3 while you were here. Personally, I haven't played it yet, but D2 is still one of my favorite aRPGs ever.

That sure is a lot of money for a 3.8 user score on metacritic. I'd stick to Torchlight 2 in the same genre. Cheaper download and free of all the issues of D3 (DRM, real money AH (aka pay to win Blactivision cash cow), server maintenance, short single player game, etc).

kyon 01-25-2013 12:12 PM

Lots of haters out there, but D3 is a solid game. I dumped a good 80 hrs into it when it first came out and have recently come back and there have been alot of additions with streamlined and better drops in inferno. I think they nerfed inferno a bit much but you can now scale it with Monster Power, also after 60 there is more to work for with the continued gain of "xp" that goes towards Paragon Levels.

As for the complaints I personally don't mind logging into the game to play and I really havent had issues with staying connected compared to the issues they had at launch. I also have never used the real money auction house, and havent had any issues playing through the game, people who say that they are forcing you to use the RMAH are dumb.

Lots more coming down the pipe too. I believe the first PVP addition is coming in the next patch and there is going to be continued support for a long time. Everyone is going to have their opinion, I enjoyed it, others didn't, there were just people who didn't like it who continued to qq for a long time because it wasn't the graphical update of D2 that they wanted, and D2 was a decently horrid game till almost the xpac came out.

In before D3 haters!

<edit> Damn, way too late on this.

I simply got tired of the nerfs, and the endless cylce of trying to progress on Inferno but can't because i dont endless farm and play the AH/RMAH. My final draw was then upping the repair cost by 6x. Went back to it once, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I moved on to Guild Wars 2 and Torchlight 2, amont other games.

Just to clarify, I wouldn't call myself a hater. I've read some pretty stupid comment on the Diablo forum but I don't think I'm one of them. I'm not trying to "trash it" for trashing aske or whatever; I simply didn't have a good experience with it, and I also wished I had waited. The power of the past Diablo experiences were too strong to resist.

edit: to add replies

I think the only way to help save Diablo 3, is to delete the auction house, or at least make a mode without it, and make the drops easier to get.

Montesinnos 01-25-2013 12:38 PM

Did everybody have trouble with Inferno mode?
I finished the game with 2 difference characters (WD before the inferno Nerf, Monk during the 6x repair).
It was hard, but not impossible. I also killed Diablo in multiplayer a couple times.
I did all of that without spending more than 100k per item on the auction house (I've never had gold on Diablo. Used all my savings on the rainbow level)

I don't play anymore, but you can easily get 100 hours on it. I liked it more than Torchlight 2 (it's a good game too).

Classic was fine and an upgrade from D1. D3 is a downgrade IMO from D2.

Anyone looking for the D2 experience should check out the MedianXL and Eastern Sun mods for D2. Also, check out Path of Exile and keep a look out for Grim Dawn (some guys from Titan Quest are making this).

Would of picked up those x11's if they were surround :(

It's a fun game, but you'll lag while playing solo in single player because the enemies are generated server side like an MMOG.

Inferno was always clearable if you were good at the game. I'm pretty much in the same boat clearing the game before nerfs. I've spent ~500k gold max on an item, but I've never spent a penny on the RMAH. I use it only to sell items. The reality is, people will always find a way to cheat or buy their way through the game (D2 being a prime example). At least this way, when they do it it benefits the players selling the items rather than shady websites and hackers, and it also provides continuous funding to justify continued updates and maintenance. As much as people want to hate on it, the RMAH is what will keep the game updated and getting expansions.

As for gold selling cheap now... that really isn't a big deal. Loot worth selling on the RMAH for $10+ drops more than hourly, and I can't think of any other games I enjoy that pay me to play at all.

Wow how are you getting drops that are worth $10 an hour? I would say 1 out of 20 legendary drops are worth over 5 million. At the current rate that's $1.60.

Yeah, I remember when I first started playing, I had enough gold that if I wanted to sell it on ebay or something, it would have covered the game ($59.99). Now that would be worth about $6, and in my experience, I'm not making a drastically higher amount of money either

buylow98 01-25-2013 05:35 PM

this is a good deal at least. not sure why it was negative.

Soyger 01-25-2013 05:40 PM

Same here, D3 was a complete waste. I wish I could have back all of the years I spent anticipating this abortion of a game.

Cez21 02-05-2013 05:33 PM

I still see 59.99 for Diablo 3? A little help ?

ik_ 02-05-2013 09:08 PM

expired.

rogue_AK 02-06-2013 11:37 AM

If you liked DIII I would look into TorchLight or Path of Exile. Both are fun games and Path of Exile is free for open beta right now!

ik_ 02-06-2013 12:31 PM

most peeps that buy d3 these days are botters, fyi

tallydawg 02-10-2013 04:31 PM

I'm not a botter and would like to try it out so if anyone has abandoned it and wants to make some money back let me know.

thanks,
