My two year old and 9 month old boys been using Costco huggies for years maybe had 1 or 2 incidents with leaking when the diaper wasn't put on right

There are a lot of reasons why a diaper leaks. The diaper might be put on wrong or the diaper might be too small. 3.9K reviews on costco alone 4.5+ stars.

Sometimes pampers work better for some kids over huggies and vice versa.

One solution I found for my kids were to buy a larger size to prevent leaks. I rarely have leaks now.

skull leader 01-26-2013 11:57 AM

I agree. If it leaks, its time to move up to the next size. That solves most of the issues.

You got to change them more than once a day or they all leak LOL

mee 01-26-2013 01:52 PM

Thanks! I'm currently using size 1 pampers swaddlers and poop always goes up the back. Hoping Huggies will work better with my LO.

I'm guessing it probably was posted a month or so ago when the Costco coupon book came out, but like all long running slickdeals this "refresher" post on a month-long deal that ends tomorrow has sprouted a new wave of thumbs up from posters who didn't realize it's been out there all long. I've hit this deal 4-5 times in the past month stocking up for my kids. I was hoping this post was noting it was extended through February. Oh well, maybe next time.

The thing is huggies leak but the same size pamper won't. My 3 month old wear huggies and if she a little active it will leak. The same size 2 pamper is good enough for overnight, its still a little big so the next size is not the answer.
May be pamper is a little bigger than huggies.

smashfaq 01-26-2013 03:43 PM

no difference than amazon...which does not charge tax..so 162 of costco vs 172 count of amazon is equal.

ClayDavis 01-26-2013 03:44 PM

In for five size 2s, in case I end up impregnating someone after a night of sinful adultery. I don't believe in contraception or abortion. Or pre marital sex either, obviously, but I'm human and accidents might happen. Gotta be ready. Worst case, I can donate them.

as far as I can tell, Kirkland and these Huggies are identical with the exception of the licensed cartoon characters printed on the front. :) I've also read elsewhere that Kirkland is made by Kimberly-Clark (mfgr of Huggies)

Is it? Not that I've seen, but then I have a bad memory for prices (which makes me a bad SD'er!).

I think it depends on the shape of the child...my daughter could only wear pampers for the longest time and then, believe it or not ....Luvs. My son was much smaller/thinner that she was as a baby and he did well in the Kirkland and Huggies.

Prove it... I need size 4 and I did the math for the price per diaper and Costco was still cheaper and I have Amazon Mom pricing.

I did the same thing. Thre is no way that Amazon is less.

six6figures 01-26-2013 05:41 PM

Not really a great deal. Amazon has them cheaper when you clip the $2 coupon and use S&S. You can cancel S&S anytime. Also, Amazon doesn't collect tax in some states which sweetens the deal. Finally you will get your order from Amazon in 2 days, sometimes the next day.

Poop up the back...definately to small of a diaper not the brand per say.

Me too! At least I'm not the only one. Just double-checked the coupon book and it's not in there, so we're not going senile yet. :lmao:

Thanks, OP.

ioric18 01-26-2013 06:52 PM

How much more do I pay if I'm not Costco member?

angelamc854 01-26-2013 06:56 PM

Great deal! Thanks! This definitely was not in the coupon book.

I had no idea that Mitt Romney was on Slickdeals!

Welcome Mitt! Now show us your dong because I've heard it's HUGE!

puneet_pal 01-26-2013 07:45 PM

This is the same price in store as well....I bought it a week ago. This is a instant Mfr. rebate and will not need any coupon.

Why do you trolls keep saying that without showing any proof - if Amazon has a better deal post it! Show us your calculation to prove it's cheaper. I've done the math and it's not cheaper on Amazon...

Costco - Size 4 - 31.49 for 180 diapers is 17.5 cents a diaper

Amazon - Size 4 - 35.74 for 192 diapers is 18.6 cents a diaper (amazon mom price which is lower than SS is 37.74 - 2 coupon) http://www.amazon.com/Huggies-Snu...101&sr=1-2

back up your statements please!!

jack_sd 01-26-2013 07:56 PM

Went to my neighborhood safeway. They have $10 off for $40 more on participating huggies or pampers products. Got two boxes of 74 ($20) and 117($30) box and got the discount. Also applied huggies discount coupons of $5 and total price came to $33. Looks better deal.

If you're not a member, you either have to convince them to give you a day pass, buy a membership, or get a member to buy a Costco Gift Card for you. The Gift Card will allow you to shop like a member.

newintern 01-26-2013 09:41 PM

How is about Huggies baby wipes they have with $5off? Would it be good to buy?
How many bags of diapers for each size a baby needs on average? (Sorry for this stupid question. I am so new with this and have no clue how many bags I should stock up for my upcoming baby in couple more weeks)

MAK1981 01-27-2013 08:58 AM

I was looking back at my old Costco coupons, and in the past 6 months, I got Huggies for as low as $27.99 after $5 coupon. This is $31.49 after coupon. Free delivery, sure. But is this really a great deal compared to typical diaper deals at Costco?

Unfortunately, my receipts don't show the number in each box, but... I'd assume they're the same now as they were 6 months ago (?) I'm actually ready to order 3 boxes here, any thoughts?

rivet0r 01-27-2013 09:09 AM

New father here, where do you get the huggies $5 off coupon? Also, how do you stack it with other deals like the costco sale?

Thanks!

Thanks!

$5 coupon was the Costco coupon of that month. But be sure you use the Similac and/or Enfamil coupons that you can use anywhere. Sign up for their mailing lists and you'll get more than enough. And if you're not using them, they sell easily :)

slayer32 01-27-2013 08:45 PM

The good thing i like about buying diapers from costco is that they have a great return policy. If u are not satisfied then u can return unused diapers as long as u still over half left, so i was told at the costco i go too. So if it leaks on you, return it and u can get ur money back. My daughter fits the huggies better than the kirkland brand. Don't know what kind of return policy amazon has for diapers, but i love costco's return policy

The figure I was told with our newborn (which seemed to prove out) was to plan for 10 diapers a day. That number goes down as time goes on. We're at 1 year now and I haven't done any real math but I'm guessing the rate has dropped to about 6x day.

That said, I would *not* advise stocking up more than 2-3 boxes ahead. You just don't know whether a particular diaper will fit well, will irritate your baby's skin, or how fast your baby will outgrow a size. Deals come up frequently enough that you can plan a box or two ahead and keep ahead of the game.

As for wipes... I bought a pack of 1200 and it lasted maybe 10 months. That was a deal at Target for $24 IIRC. TBH I haven't gotten as far into the wipe-savings math because the $ difference is so much less.

Best of luck with the new babe!

You don't - Costco only accepts Costco coupons.
