Canon mx870 vs mx892
 

I bought my mx870 roughly 2 years ago and still works great.
I bought the mx892 during that amazon sale
I am having trouble deciding which one to keep

anyone here had a mx870 and regret upgrading/changing to the mx892?
or have any advice on which one to keep?

Cons of 892
892 ink more expensive
892 is much louder
892 shiny plastic is more easily scratchable and a dust magnet
892 uses less plastic than 870
892 removes some features (output tray missing an extra extension, adf no longer fully liftable)
892 ink status lights are dimmer
892 sd/memory card door starts to jam at 75 degrees open.
892 has annoying software menu interface, if u reach end of a list, u have to go backwards.
in the 870, u can just continue and it will automatically restart at beginning of the menu
892 beeping sounds are very annoying compared to 870
?892 no speaker holes? / ?870 has them on the right side?

Pros of 892
892 prints faster
892 has nicer looking physical interface / mx870 scroll wheel is wheel is annoying
?892 is wireless n certified? / ?mx870 wireless n is not certified, but still works?

Cons of both
both cant scan legal documents using the flatbed

? indicate features im not sure about

I have attached some photos of features of the mx870 that are now removed or have been changed

what do you guys/gals think?
I've only used the mx892 once to test all its features and make sure i dont have a defective product before placing it back in the box.
my first mx870 was doa; wouldnt turn on. staples shipped a new one to me in 2 days and have been satisfied with the product since then.
