Thanks! Was able to use the code 3 times on 3 items ;-) Also went through e b a t e s and got 4% back

EDIT: Just read the terms of the coupon. I was able to use it 3 times on 3 transactions same living social account same credit card

superduperasian 01-30-2013 07:42 AM

Awesome! Spent it on a giftcard to proflowers.com

carlymn 01-30-2013 08:02 AM

The $50 voucher for Designer Living is still a pretty good deal, for $20 you get $50 off at DL, plus there is a code for free shipping (FSJAN) and $20 off $100 (VALENTINE20) and I was able to stack vouchers (they are gift codes you apply one by entering it and hitting submit order, then applying the next) and multiple coupon codes last time. The quality of the items I received was pretty good I would say.

Ivanist 01-30-2013 08:09 AM

can someone tell me if the proflowers deal is a good deal? Their prices seem steep online but I don't have much experience buying flower so I don't know

Mindylane 01-30-2013 08:42 AM

Thanks. Got one for myself and for my boyfriend so we can have super cheap dinners!!! Yay!

chaniilove 01-30-2013 08:45 AM

Fudge, finally spent my $52 deal bucks plus $7 out of pocket yesterday on a local salon deal. Oh well, $7 for a cut, deep condition, full highlights, and style is still a slick deal! $25 of my deal bucks were thanks to the v.me deal before christmas. I love slick deals!

proflowers is generally among the least expensive flower delivery options... using this you'll get something nice delivered for $10 - good luck doing that anywhere else :-D

Do they charge extra for delivery? I know it's another $5 if you want it on Valentine's Day, but is how much is the standard delivery? I don't see it listed on the site, and I know some places charge very high delivery fees.

spicytofu 01-30-2013 08:57 AM

I just bought $15 ticket 2 days ago. Is there anyways to get this $5 applied? I feel ripped off by them for releasing this code now.

Yeah, I was contemplating getting the Proflowers voucher, but I don't think it's worth it. Plus, the flowers I've gotten from there in the past have been just meh, and the recipient has to arrange them.

You cannot apply it directly to what you already bought. But you can request a refund for your earlier buy (if it is within 7 days) and buy again.

The Proflowers deal is pretty decent when stacked with %50 off the price of 100 Blooms [proflowers.com]. With LS deal, they are $15.98 shipped. This bouquet is $42.97 shipped from amazon [amazon.com].

Put the lilies in your shopping cart, and then follow the livingsocial proflowers link [proflowers.com] and go to your shopping cart to redeem the living social voucher.

My total was:
Flowers: $19.99
Vase: $6.99
Delivery: $15.99
LS Discount: -$30
Proflowers total: $12.97
LS voucher: $10
Total: $22.97 (would be $15.98 without vase)
My wife's delight upon receiving a nice bouquet of Peruvian lilies delivered to her at work for our anniversary: $Priceless

Purchased the Living Social for Shari's Berries ($15 for $30) [livingsocial.com] for $10.
Used it on their Full Dozen Gourmet Dipped Swizzled Strawberries [berries.com] for my mom at $29.98. After redeeming the $30 voucher the total came out to $12.97 shipped (arriving the day before Valentine's Day)

$10 + $12.97 = $22.97 shipped. Good deal, IMO. Thanks and repped, OP!

Heads up, I've received lilies from ProFlowers before - they arrived in tight buds with no blooms. I placed them in a vase of water with the provided flower food and it took almost a week for them to bloom into fully open flowers.

These particular lilies state: "To allow these beautiful flowers to last much longer, they are shipped fresh, budding, and ready to bloom" in the description.

I had my deal bucks left so used the code and got the Luminess Air At-Home Gel Manicure Kit
May make a good valentines day gift for some.

Edit: doesn't mention shipping on living social but just went to purchase and surprise $10 shipping.

SupahRich 01-30-2013 12:56 PM

Worked out pretty well for me, $5 deal plus I had $5 in LS bucks on my account some how... thought I used it all up when using the $30 Ford deal last week. I'm waiting a day or two to see what kind of deal I can find on ProFlowers. Some of the links I found on other sites that are supposed to include a free vase, aren't working currently.

Standard delivery is around $8.
They have a selection of free-delivery options which are what I usually choose from:

This deal was perfect. I had $25 in LivingSocial dealbucks from the $10 Toys for Tots donation. As a homebrewer I had my eye on the MidwestSupplies starter kit. Worked out to be $34 after the $5 code and the $25 in deal bucks. That and Midwest Supplies charged $12 shipping for the initial beginners equipment kit, then you'll have to pay shipping on the second order (they give you a $25 off code in the initial equp. kit off the next order).

Still not bad! Thanks!

hwa 01-30-2013 02:56 PM

Code worked for me. Bought the $15 for $30 proflowers.com voucher (to be used for valentine's day), combined w/ $10 LivingSocial Dealbucks I had stored up, and ended up netting to 0.00.

Haven't read the fine print, but I hope to use the voucher in combination w/ whatever VDay coupon codes will pop up for proflowers.

At the top, click radio listener link, then use keyword "rose"

i found it though

I was looking at this but 15" x 4.5" won't hold much. Looks like you have to get 4 or 5 to fill a grill.

Got 2 vouchers to a local artisanal food store. Each voucher was $10, and I had $15 remaining from the previous $25 promotion. Thanks!

I just read in the fine print on this deal for Shari's Berries that after 3/31/2013 the paid amount ($15) becomes deal bucks that expire in five years. So I believe if you use your deal bucks that are about to expire on this (and this $5 off deal) and then wait until after 3/31 then they will convert back to deal bucks that will be good for five years. Not the slickest deal but a way around the expiration and to add $5 (if you have $15 or more left). Since I haven't found anything good recently I am going to just do this deal as I have $8 deal bucks left. Just a suggestion.

Quote:

Limit 1 per purchaser • Voucher may be used towards tax and shipping. • Voucher valid for up to $30.00 towards purchases on www.berries.com/livingsocial prior to 3/31/2013 (“Promotional Value Expiration Date”). • Upon redemption, the paid value will be applied to your order first and then the promotional value. In the event that your purchase does not use the entire promotional value, any remaining promotional value shall expire. • If a purchaser fails to redeem their voucher by 3/31/2013, purchaser agrees that purchaser will have purchased $15.00 in paid deal bucks to be used on LivingSocial.com only, and the voucher shall cease to be valid for a purchase transaction on berries.com/livingsocial • Paid deal bucks expire five years after the date of purchase or issuance, except where prohibited by law. • Voucher will not be replaced if stolen or lost • Not valid for international or third-party hosted products (e.g. wine) • Other conditions apply

Has anyone purchased a bustedtees.com GC before from one of these deals? I see that they have one and the voucher applies to shipping (which is nice), but my question is what if my purchase is a bit below $30 (say $29). Will the voucher work or will the total have to be above $30?

I only want 1 t-shirt from the site anyway...

It will work but it should say in the fine print if you have to use the whole amount in one purchase or not. If it does state this then that means that any remainder just disappears but if it says it can be used on multiple purchases then the remainder can be used towards additional purchases.

I had looked at their deal, but the fine print says shipping, $7.99!

Here are the terms:

Limit 1 per customer, up to 1 additional as a gift • Limit 1 per transaction • Entire value must be used in a single visit • Shipping not included; flat-rate fee of $7.99 to U.S. & Canada • Voucher value may be applied towards shipping

Based on this, the purchase has to be more than $30 for it to work then? Or if I use the voucher on a single purchase will it just forfeit the part that I don't use?

Oh, missed that when looking earlier today. I recall people complaining about having to pay shipping in the recent LS debacle and to read the fine print and that is what I keyed in on.

I noticed the same "fine print" for the proflowers deal and your suggestion would actually be pretty slick if it works. I don't know whether anyone has any experience with this kind of thing -- whether livingsocial would only credit back my $10 into deal bucks (w/ 5 yr expiration date) notwithstanding with language. Also, do you know whether deal bucks can generally be used on gift card offers?

1dash1 01-30-2013 07:51 PM

Discount code SAVE5 worked, but I was charged $5.99 for shipping when the FINE PRINT stated that the shipping was included in the purchase price (freshwater pearl necklace).

So, I'm out a dollar on the deal. :(

It says that the voucher can be applied to shipping...

So yes shipping is not included in the $30 living social deal but the $30 can be applied to shipping. Meaning that shipping is not free but you can use the balance towards shipping.

Yes if you use the voucher on a single purchase you forfeit the part that you do not use. You can be under that amount, which is advantageous to them so they allow it.

I would say that as long as it is above what you paid you are still getting a deal but it might not be as slick. But, if you got the $5 for free it could be worth it still.

sarahfromSF 01-30-2013 09:53 PM

I would assume that the full amount would be credited back because they were going to give us the promotional amount to begin with. So they are taking away the promotional amount and giving us back our paid amount in Deal Bucks.

I would hope that it means the full $15 based on that. They throw around $5 like it's nothing anyway. So if it doesn't credit it all back I would just contact them.

I once bought a deal and it got canceled due to state laws on alcohol and they refunded the paid amount to my credit card and gave me an extra $5 Deal Bucks in return.

u2fan01 01-31-2013 01:41 AM

I purchased the busted tees voucher and it does cover the shipping charge.

So I got my shirt and the shipping covered completely ($26.99).

$10 for a Firefly shirt is pretty shiny!

New code for Living Social $5 off $15

I just received an email with a new "extended" offer of $5 off $15 using code "VIPSAVE5".

I did not get the SAVE5 email, but I did get this one, so YMMV. Check your emails, this appears to be account specific, unlike yesterday's code.

If you like the suggestion in this post, you can repeat that today with Shari's Berries, which has the same information in the fine print.
