You have to fill out the info at that url and after you submit, it will give you the form to print.

Name, address, and email are required. Phone is not. Also, be sure to check 'I do not wish to receive any information about Kia’s products and special offers' if you do not wish to receive them.

If the link redirects you to kia.com, copy/paste http://www.thekiaoffer.com/BigGame/ into your browser and it should load the correct page.

Krakn3Dfx 01-30-2013 01:35 PM

This isn't as good as when Kia would give you a free Rio for buying a Sorento.

But it's still alright. :P

you can..but would you really want to go to jail for forgery? The salesman has to sign his name to the form. :D

desertdish 01-30-2013 01:49 PM

Careful... I had to push the back button to correct my email address. When I did, someone else's full customer info came up complete with address, email and their personal customer code (S. W. are the initials in San Francisco on 42nd Ave. in case it's someone here... ) Wonder what happened...

Careful indeed! I believe this just turned into a HUGE YMMV deal, as I think the link in the OP is the original recipients email link which includes his unique Personal Promotion Code. So everyone who has signed up via that link has done so under a single, unique code with addresses all across the country. If you read the terms at the very bottom of the OP's post, it talks about a unique code from a mailer being required in order to qualify. I believe that not only will everyone else who signed up using that same code, but the original recipient of that code as well, are going to have their test drive forms invalidated for breaking the terms of agreement. Good luck. I'm off to check emails for this offer as I've received them via email direct from Kia in the past.

this offer is also posted on kia.com so it isn't unique

Did a Google search and found Kia's link. Filled in info. again and got another certificate with a different Personal Customer code. Should be good to go. I'm using the second one I printed just in case.

How can I find one? Thanks

CateyeRR 01-30-2013 04:08 PM

Who has time to drive to a dealer, test drive, put up with all the salesman BS, and drive home all for $25? I'd spend at least $10 in gas just getting to and fro.

I have a 12 yrs old Hyundai Elantra... still going strong, 140k, no (big) issues, about 25/32mpg, reliable, already paid for itself and I think the car still worth $2500. I'm thinking to experiment and drive it 'till it dies... :D

Deal2go 01-30-2013 04:10 PM

last couple of times i tried, it was embarassing moment. the guys at the desk questioned about what this deal print out is to we don't give any gift cards for test drive.

rajulita02 01-30-2013 04:11 PM

Ok.. I do have one query..
Is this going to impact my credit score..? or any enquiry on my name..?

I have never taken test drive before so just wondering how does this work..?

No, you just walk in and ask to test drive the car you want...no credit check. That comes when you buy the car!

edw 01-30-2013 04:21 PM

Just click the banner ad on the kia website

No need to freak everyone out
I've done it the last two years, no problem,
my kia dealer is less than a mile away.

Never have taken a test drive , just get it filled out and mail it

Just go to the link directly from the Kia website. The banner is on the bottom right of the page. Links directly to the same website URL.

The link in my original post was simply 'http://www.thekiaoffer.com/BigGame/'. I'm not sure why it sometimes redirects to kia.com, but as I also stated, you can go to kia.com and just click on the banner near the bottom of the page that is advertising this deal (or copy/paste into your browser). I never received any code or reference to this offer of any sort. I was actually looking at a used Kia online and saw it mentioned a 5 yr/60,000 warranty, so i went to kia.com to try to find more details about their factory warranty's. While there I saw the ad for this promotion. I think the 'Personal Customer Code' listed on your form after you submit your info is just a randomly generated number, maybe to try to discourage people from making 10 copies and doing this 10 different times. I'm not sure what's going on with those who've had other people's random info popping up on their forms.

wise2u 01-30-2013 04:26 PM

re

no, its a simple deal you go to rio.com, click on the ad box for $25 visa card, fill in info, print certificate, go to dealership, show cert and DL, test drive, have them sign and fill out dealer code, mail in certificate, wait 6 weeks, get giftcard.
Unless you check the box they will send you advertising.
I have done a few of these in the past. I tell em I'm here for the giftcard and some just fill out the form without making me drive, some want to make full pitch even though its a waste of both our time. Either way I always wound up getting the card. It does say limited to first 10,000 so once you get the form filled out send it in quickly.

You mean get it filled out from a dealer or just on your own by using some name of a salesperson and mail it all by yourself?

If you go to www.kia.com the offer is in the lower right hand corner, so do not think that is the case. I was able to print one for myself and one on another puter for hubby and they both have different codes

Here's an easy way to get the dealer code on the Kia website.

Find your local dealer.
http://www.kia.com/dealer.php

The dealer code is in the URL for the quote button. (e.g. Copy Link Location)

Glassman Kia
28000 Telegraph Road
Southfield, MI 48034

coup nazi 01-30-2013 06:50 PM

Sweet! In the market for a new ride, and it's not gonna be anything union made. GM, Ford and Chrysler can suck it.

Did you actually drive or on a computer? I would prefer not going to the dealer.

clickclickw00t 01-30-2013 06:56 PM

It says one per household. I wonder if they really hold strict to that or if my girlfriend and I should both try.

mr_abhi007 01-30-2013 07:20 PM

and what about doing this at more than one dealer with different addresses and incorrect phone numbers (so that they dont call and ask to confirm address)?

cbtexan04 01-30-2013 07:29 PM

To do this from home go to the website below:
http://www.kia.com/#/dealerlocator/dealerEntry

Put in your zip code. Select your dealer by clicking "quick quote". Look in the URL after /dealercode/CODEHERE, and you got your dealer code.

Just remember, I think technically it's fraud for forging a non existent signature.

Last year the one I printed said "one per person" and we sent one in per person. One for me and one for husband. Only received one so I figured they meant one per household. You could try to send them both in, but would probably just get one.

HoMeZ 01-30-2013 07:31 PM

The salesmen usually appreciate if you tell them up front and don't waste their time.

Binar 01-30-2013 08:42 PM

Seriously is any of you driving Kia? Are the cars reliable?

sat9090 01-30-2013 08:45 PM

Ok after getting someone else's name i tried clearing cache n all but it still remain the same. opened new browser and filled the same information certificate came with warning saying with same information it has already been submitted and only one per household. But this time was able to print with correct info

So who all getting random names try doing again with info in new browser and it should work fine

Consumer Reports likes them. They're not rated as high as Honda/Toyota/Nissan, but they're not far behind.

tuffy 01-30-2013 10:37 PM

[QUOTE=jezzdogg;57248786]Just tried to sign up for one and the certificate came out with the name, address, phone number, etc of someone in North carolina. Then went i exited and went back in said one had already been generated for my name and address..

Hmmm, I'm a Tar Heel, hopefully not me!

My neighbor did a similar test drive last year and got the gc w/ no problems. The limit on this promo may slam the door shut on some of us. Guess Kia can't hand out too much more additional $$$ since they're appeasing the Feds by paying some past owners for exceeding the estimated mpg's on many of their models.

I got me the Kia Optima EX. Love the fuel savings and reliability. Had a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has been having coolant problems the past year. Huge improvement. I also loved all the features you got for the price point.

Be Careful!
I went for this "deal" last year and the gift credit card cost me $26,000!

But I LOVE my Kia Optima!
And my wife loved the life size Motley Crue cardboard cut out!

If they have one, definitely give the Kia Optima SX a try. I had a 2011 Optima LX for about 1 1/2 years and traded it in for a '13 SX turbo and it is quite a fun car to drive!

hawkeye16 01-31-2013 06:32 AM

Was able to print one off for wife at work no problem. At home printing my own off I kept getting someone else's name on my certificate. Tried twice. Will be pizzed if I get DQ'd out of the $25.

Got in on this deal last year and got money no problem.

Thanks OP!

I have had my Kia Soul since launch 3.5 years so far. Its a great car.

I think I might need to test the Optima now.....

Test drove a Kia Sorrento this morning.
Very nice car.Lots of options for the money($28K another $2500 off with incentives). So you could start to talk at $25.500.
Salesperson was great. Told him upfront that I wasn't looking to purchase at this time.

Certificate already in the mail.

Next up the VW test drive.

augustina 01-31-2013 11:18 AM

Just dropped mine in the mail. Told the salesman that I wasn't interested in buying at this time ..but he was so pleasant and he was really informed on the cars. Nice polite and my sister test drove for her card and I just went along for the ride..he signed both forms for us..with only one test drive.

I have done it. There is a thread about that somewhere on this board. I gave them the printout and they said they would process it. I took a test drive and usually I want to take the test drive. It is just that I wait for some offer so that I have some extra motivation to spend my time and gas. :)

posywang 02-01-2013 08:41 AM

My hubby went to test drive the Optima SX. He likes it. However, we don't have urgent need to buy a car today. We may buy one later this year when the baby is born. However, when he gave the certificate to the salesperson, he acted like he was fooled. I have to say it is a successful marketing strategy that gets potential customers in the door since Kia was not even coming to our mind when we thought about buying a new car, but the attitude of the salesperson just turned us away.

It's for the first 10,000 forms received back so I doubt it at this point. I would recommend sending it in as soon as possible though. I did mine the day after this was posted. Of course it's been posted other places so just do it as quickly as possible.

Freebisquits 02-02-2013 06:18 PM

Took two offer sheets in today, salesman was an absolute pro. Took our papers inside to fill out, returned with completed forms, then asked IF we wanted to do a test drive. No pressure, simply informative, and gave us a card to contact when we were looking to buy. Tried the Optima Hybrid, which drove nice and had a lot of great features for a base model, but has a 27K sticker price.

cadreamz23 02-06-2013 12:17 PM

I mailed the form on 2/2 and it showed up as "Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing" today.

You can check the status at http://www.rebateshq.com if you mailed around that date.

Brooklynite 02-17-2013 03:01 PM

Maybe a bit unrelated but a friend of mine got a certificate in the mail to test drive a Cadillac and get $100 visa card. How do we get on their mailing list?! Thats a much better deal. Well just second to the 3 day free Lincoln test drive offer last year. That was fantastic.

I checked that site and received a validation for my husband, but not for me (mine was sent 2/1, 5 days earlier than his)

For me, it just states that no information can be found. Hmmm.....

luxy 02-17-2013 07:07 PM

I went a little out of my way the other day to get this done and the salesman told me he didn't know what it was and couldn't do it without the manager there. Made me angry.

I've had a lot of rebates and test drives that go through this company and yours might still show up. If you two have the same address they are very good about picking up on that but they would both still show up with one saying that the household limit was exceeded.

Thanks for replying. I changed the address a bit so it wasn't exactly the same. I figured it they picked up on the same address, they would have let mine go through, and not my husband's.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep checking.

No luck - the rebate check site shows that the first submission exceeds limit per household of one. Oh well...seemed like an easy $25, but I was wrong

I used the same name, which isn't that uncommon, but different addresses. One says valid and the other is invalid "household limit exceeded." When you say they would both still show up, do you mean the rebate or the info on the website?

I meant the info on the website. If it says household limit exceeded you definitely won't get the card in the mail. That is odd that they took one out because of the name.

Even when you use different address/e-mail/phone, some rebate centers assume that it's the same person if name, last name, and the first three digits of the zip code are the same.

As long as e-mail and phone don't match with other submission, you can always call and have it fixed. If they bring up the other person, you act like you are clueless about who it is. :D

I think that it used to be the case but not anymore unless things changed again. I used to cash almost all for years, except for the few that were restricted. Last time I tried, I stopped by multiple banks (BOA, WF, a couple more I don't remember) and tried rebate cards from multiple rebate centers. They swiped but weren't able to cash any of them. Did you do it recently, and if so which bank did you use?

Did it within the past 12 months at a Chase bank, but its been awhile. Was able to with all but one of the cards last time, can't remember the reason it was deposited. Have the Kia (Visa Debit) and two others (Amex Prepaid Reward and Amex Sync Prepaid) that I will be trying with tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. If not I can just roll them into my Amazon account.

It won't affect it. When I checked my status it showed 3 other Kia promotions, two from 2012 and one from 2011. I received the card from the current promotion because it's separate from the others I participated in.

yea it was a bad call on them on not launching a premium brand with the introduction of genesis.

They were really considering it, but they thought rebuilding their image overall with premium cars along the line up would be a better idea, not to mention the slump in the auto market at that time. I think they should've done it anyway.

In the end, it was neither genesis nor equus that elevated their brand image, it was their general line up that improved in quality so greatly. ie; accent elantra sonata etc.

I disagree on your last sentence though lol

I see way too many hyundais and kias out in the roads and in parkinglots to think that nobody wants to own them.

I mailed the form on 2/2 and it showed up as "Your rebate is valid and is scheduled for final processing" today.

You can check the status at http://www.rebateshq.com if you mailed around that date.

I have owned 4 Hyundais - I could care less the brand name, they are good vehicles.

And some of them are assembled in the U.S. -- Kentucky or Georgia I believe.

And $3,253 off MSRP
And above-BB value for my trade-in
And only after a ton of research.

I was being sarcastic with saying they got me with the gift card. But it was a nice extra bonus, especially since I was test driving one anyway and it was one of my top 3 car choices at the moment.

desertdish 03-11-2013 09:47 PM

Went to my local dealer and asked if they would validate my certificate after a test drive. They refused to do so since I wouldn't give them my real phone number. They told me they would verify that the phone number I gave them was actually my number. Guess i should have set up a google voice number before I went...

I was actually car shopping that day to replace one of our vehicles. The salesman's attitude turned me off so much that I just walked out. Their loss...

metaldood 03-11-2013 10:14 PM

Is it too late to take test Drive now?

It's for the first 10K people which is not that high of a number but you can still take the test drive an mail the certificate in, offer goes until the end of this month and there is still a chance.

blackbeasst 03-13-2013 11:23 AM

My mom and I went in and told them we're just interested in the promotion and their filled out our forms without a test drive. In and out in about 5 minutes.

Iron_Chin 03-28-2013 03:40 PM

One of mine arrived today. I am pretty sure I signed up for 2 of them.

smandam 03-29-2013 07:28 AM

I mailed mine 3 weeks ago, checked status today:

Date Received: 03-21-2013
Status Detail: Your rebate is valid. Please allow up to 30 days to receive your rebate.

slckdealstur 03-29-2013 07:39 AM

Mine is INVALID as KIA dealer in Maplewood, MN apparently wrote down wrong information on the card. They just put down a generic dealer code.
I personally won't recommend this dealer to anyone.

Sent from the official Slickdeals App for iPhone & iPod Touch.

I gave them this number 212-432-7827 seemed to work fine!!!!

Chronic Chinito 03-30-2013 09:52 AM

Got my card, but the card kind of sucks. Had $16 remaining and tried to use it for a $18 transaction, the thing just completely denied it instead of taking the remaining balance off.

That's the store POS issue, not the card. You should of told them to charge $16.xx or whatever is left on the card. Some stores like Staples and Walmart can detect it's a prepaid card and charge the remaining balance accordingly.

Got my card today sent it in end of last month.

The instructions that come with the card tell you that you have to know how much is on it and that it will be declined if you try to use it for over the amount.

Svnla 03-30-2013 07:38 PM

Almost forgot about this. Went to a local Kia dealer today around 4 p.m. Spoke with the internet manager and he quickly filled out the information when I told him that I was doing some internet survey and would not need any test drive.

Funny thing was that they did not have any Rio hatchback at all for sale. They did have about 10 Souls and a few Rio sedans but none of the 5 doors hatchbacks.

amex1007 05-02-2013 01:42 PM

Did anyone heard anything from them yet.. or got their GCs

haggle_master 05-02-2013 01:55 PM

got mine a few days ago and my test drive was a few days before the promo expired. hope yours comes soon.

Truth-Serum 05-08-2013 01:01 AM
