Used games from Gamefly typically come with all online codes and vouchers that would come with a brand new game.

Thanks I added that to the list :D

I bought GR: FS on the last sale from Gamefly...wasn't pleasantly surprised that it wasn't terrible. They need a new cutscene animator as the cutscenes look like crap but the gameplay is pretty fun IMHO.

atari 01-30-2013 08:55 PM

I got it last time Max Payne 3 was on sale for $12.99 at Gamefly.

nilkilla 01-30-2013 08:59 PM

Holy crap it took a long time for amazing spider man to go on sale for 360!

It's still going for $30 + on ebay....I would have even spent that, but I'd gotten so hooked on it via redbox rentals, I already have $10 in vested

What's the appeal? It looks good, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

FalconX 01-30-2013 09:24 PM

Get ghost recon if you want something thats now quick pop and shoot.

Pzark41 01-30-2013 09:36 PM

Get Max Payne - it's awesome

HauntaVirus 01-30-2013 09:55 PM

Does Future Solider come with Uplay passport?

jef6263 01-30-2013 10:12 PM

When I ordered future soldier from them last sale it did come with the uplay code. I was happy about that

staticoverdub 01-30-2013 11:18 PM

In for Spider-man. The open world could be fun.

jarrettbraun 01-31-2013 12:18 AM

Got Spider-Man. I've only heard good things and it's not nearly that cheap anywhere else. Also, I tend to ignore Gamefly deals and become very regretful when they sell out quickly. NOT THIS TIME!

ChadS1054 01-31-2013 01:19 AM

spiderman is great it plays much like the last gen spiderman movie games obv w better graphics my only gripe is the controls seem a bit slippery for when you want to really move through the world

EYEL1NER 01-31-2013 01:34 AM

If Spider-Man was $9.99, I would get it I guess. I RedBox'd it and wasn't too impressed with it. Finally a return to open-world Spidey and the web-swinging (the most important part) felt off.

I wish Ghost Recon was $10. I guess it has only been this price a couple times though, so it will take a couple more before they drop it again. I want it though, so I am eagerly awaiting that drop. I enjoyed what I played of the beta.

I've been looking into this spiderman game, but the only thing holding me back is the web slinging. Even at 15$, idk if it's worth it if it doesn't control the way it should. In my opinion, Spiderman 2 (the one based on the movie) had the best web slinging of any spiderman game. If they can make a game unrelated to any of the movies, but advance the web controls from Spiderman 2, it would be a day 1 buy for me.

Arista 01-31-2013 02:16 AM

Spiderman on the PS3 or X360?

I'm not interested in the graphical differences unless they truly are significant. I'd like to know which game has controls best/best config, and the least loading times and glitches. Any suggestions?

216 01-31-2013 04:29 AM

spoderman and prototip yay

agreed. I have no idea why there have been tons of SM games since Spider-Man 2, but NONE of them have created as smooth of a web-slinging experience as 2. Web of Shadows was good though once you got used to it, but that's it.

If you can't wait and need to play it now, then buy it immediately, but if you're backlogged up the wazoo like I am and can wait, then I'd suggest doing that because Amazing Spider-Man will be $9.99 or less in the not too distant future.

I agree with you on holding out for $10 or less prices. I'm going by memory here, but I thought Future Soldier was $10 during a GF sale right before BF. It might've been more but there was a coupon back then. My spreadsheet actually says I paid $8.99 at GF.

For more time machine deals, I got The Amazing Spider-Man for $9.99 from MicrosoftStore.com on BF and Max Payne for $7.99 or $8.99 from Walmart on BF. The point is these GF deals are far from the best prices ever, but they are OK for those who missed the BF deals. Of course a true SD'er is not supposed to miss BF deals.

spahn 01-31-2013 06:10 AM

In for Amazing Spider-Man on PS3. been waiting for a while for it to drop to $15.

I want to say it was 9.99 post BF at least a couple of times.

Well i think prototype 2 is $5 at best buy after the gamer unlocked magazine coupon. The magazine's only $5 if you aren't a gamer unlocked member, making it $10. Unless that's not going on anymore...

robertdilbert 01-31-2013 07:15 AM

how is the future soldier online play? i can never get into the campaigns but i like COD and BF3 online play

braincrusher 01-31-2013 08:29 AM

I heard it's like gears of war but haven't played it.

Izod517 01-31-2013 08:33 AM

Prototype 2 is well worth $15, it's a little on the short side, but it's exceptionally fun - and a great improvement over the first. It's also a pretty easy 1000/1000 if you're into achievements. As far as Spider-Man games go, Web of Shadows was by far the best (not a surprise if you like the Prototype series, it's essentially the same game) - but I picked up AMS.

johnnyma45 01-31-2013 08:45 AM

Ghost Recon looks intriguing, in 4 1 thanks op

If the passport is included in the retail packaging then it will come with the game from gamefly as an unredeemed code. Gamefly used is about as close as you can get to new without being new.

hainz21 01-31-2013 09:46 AM

I have to agree that MP3 is worth every penny of $14.99, and I am sorry but if I can get one person to invest into this experience it's worth the few minutes of typing.

First off, the story line is linear but totally engaging the whole time. The 20-25 hours it took to beat felt like a 3 hour non-stop action movie.

The controls (I turned off auto-aim for the achievements and to challenge myself) are tight although they are a few glitches throughout that have yet to be patched.

It's the gameplay itself though that is just plain fun. Amazing cut scenes, challenging missions (and side time trials) and enough booze, drugs and women to keep any guy interested.

I had played the original first 2 Max Payne games and enjoyed them, but this one by far was the best and I would hang it on the top 10 board of X360 games. Replay value is moderately decent too, if you ant to do multi-player, or like myself, went back to beat it in OLD SCHOOL mode!

Have fun. Buy it. Thanks for listening.

Max Payne was fun and is worth it. I got the soundtrack, I liked it so much.

Future soldier kind of intrigues me.... still thinking about it.

Said no, but reread it. Says no in the rental, but no mention about it in purchase so it might

Gamefly purchases come with everything that was originally packaged with the game. If buying a new copy would have a Uplay passport, then buying a used copy from gamefly will have one as well. If it is supposed to have one, and the copy you get doesn't, just email them and they'll correct it.

They don't include DLC codes in their rentals. Any DLC codes that are in the retail package are included if you purchase the game.

Abbas82 01-31-2013 11:45 AM

I got Ghost Recon on they end of year sale and that came with the Uplay passport

makvay 01-31-2013 12:22 PM

In for one.

noblerinthemind 01-31-2013 02:16 PM

Prototype 2 = poop. My 2. I'll explain: 1) poop is feces. 2) The graphics and game mechanics work much better than the first but if characters or story are important to you then it's very difficult to play. I got so angry at the script writing and story direction I could barely play it. Terrible dialog. Cliches up the yin yang. Annoying characters, including the protaganist. Also, powers are sort of redundant and don't really feel like you've grown or earned them. But then again, I care about that stuff. I don't understand how they could put so much work into solid coding and screw it up with such terrible direction.

Again, just my 2.

Pookymeister 01-31-2013 02:25 PM

Grabbed Prototype 2 from BBY today for $5 with the @Gamer coupon - so worth looking into that if you are near one to save at least $5 and get a new copy.

I love when Gamefly starts spitting out used games. Get them for dirt cheap. Thanks.

J1218 02-07-2013 03:36 PM

Pretty sweet deals. I've been on the fence about joining GameFly but after seeing all the deals and reading this review I found here: http://www.yourenotstupid.com/gam...ess-money/ it seems like it's definitely worth it.
