I was looking to buy mini tv stick and came across MK808B [geekbuying.com]@ geekbuying.com going for $54+FS. This TV stick comes with bluetooth and 8GB ROM

"Dual-core Cortex A9 RK3066 CPU" for $54 is slick, no?

Really want to be able to run MythTV w/ XBMC on one of these sticks. Anyone succeed at this yet?

I would be careful of buying from geekbuying.com. I ordered a camera from them that arrived broken, $45 return shipping later and I have no camera and they don't return any of my emails. Buyer beware!

THESE GUYS ARE THIEVES DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

They sold me two tablet with issues that was not even sealed. it took over month to get a RMA for return

(they emailed afew times but it take a week to reply to one email)

It's been over a month since they received my return item and I have not received a refund.

If you look at their Facebook page many people not get their refund.

I ordered a MK 802 IIIS and RC11 Android Monitor Wireless Keyboard for around $80 from them on Feb 9.

Tracked it and just arrived in US - Can't wait to see how it is. Funny.

Whatever, I will just call my credit card if it isn't what I wanted.

Got it today. Perfect condition, exactly as ordered. I have no issue with geekbuying.

I would really like to get one of these PC sticks, but for the life of me I can not find a reliable unbiased website which compares all of the models out there. It is further complicated by newer versions being released every couple of months.

Anyone have an idea as to where I can look?

Heads up, the MK808B is now on Amazon for $55.80 with FSSS, sold by Geekbuying and Fulfilled by Amazon so you should get it a lot quicker for the couple extra dollars you pay. Also the fact that the transaction is backed by Amazon will ease the minds of those who aren't comfortable ordering directly from Chinese merchants.

Found this link [google.com] for flashing to a *untu flavor (Pic-untu), but:

• Saw no mention of mythtv
• Support for xbmc is still in development
• This is for the original 3066 -- not sure if it applies to the 808'B'

New models are being released at such a furious pace, looks like it'll be awhile before there's one that dominates enough to have complete, fully functional software (third-party, of course).
