I was gone for the last few hours - these are the details of this giveaway (that weren't released at the time of this post, but thanks to all the jack arses for the nice comments)

Starting Jan. 23 and continuing until the end of the Super Bowl, viewers can vote online for their favorite group. The group with the most votes will be revealed in an ad after the Super Bowl ends. And the first 50,000 voters will get a free Coke if they register for Coke's loyalty program.

Wow...they finally posted the free Coke coupon on Facebook at 12:45 AM Eastern Time and didn't even post it on CokeChase.com or MyCokeRewards.com?

Just the end of a colossal blunder by Coke and their ad agency. I only have they have enough coupons in stock so that everyone who looked for it from 6 PM to 12 AM can get on, or there will be a LOT of angry people waking up in the morning.

Where do people normally redeem these types of coupons?
I know my grocery store doesn't accept "free" product coupons, but it's listed only under "Internet Coupons"

The reason they are mailing the coupon might be a way to get around this since it's an "official" coupon rather than a printed one?

Would I be able to redeem these elsewhere, like a convenience store or something?

I got like $300 worth of gift cards on MCR last year... I don't get why people waste their points on sweepstakes either. Just bank all my points and wait for the wednesday sales or the end of the year sales.

They should allow you to convert MCR points into payment towards all the dental work you'll be needing for decades of drinking sugar water with added acids.

According to the website : this promotion is only good for the End of the month.
So by the time I get the coupon in the mail ... should have about 5 days or less to redeem before coupon is no longer valid.

All this for one 20 oz coke. wow !!!

I think the "15 to 20 days" is an extremely long estimate, especially if sent via USPS.

And... nobody has received their coupons yet... so we don't know the actual expiration date on them. It very well could have a 03/31/13 expiration.

I don't think they'd send out a coupon and only give you a week to use it.

I got 12 of these in the mail today, hopefully more tomorrow.
