It's more of a point-and-click adventure style game (think "King's Quest") and SPOILER:
your decisions really have no impact on the overall story
but even so, I actually enjoyed this one immensely...in fact, it's probably the best thing about Walking Dead, better than both the comic and show.

Worth it for $12.50, a no-brainer at $7.50.

Only similarity really is the zombies.

This is NOT an action game. This is basically a interactive 'choose your own story' game where you are watching things unfold in the story while picking and choosing certain things for your character to do or say from time to time in the game.

That being said, it is a great game that you could potentially fall in love with if you give it a chance. I had never played anything like this before and I immediately got hooked from the demo, and definitely after the first full episode.

It's definitely worth it. One of the best games of 2012. Not really an action game, but you get very attached to some of the characters, and you're forced to make tough decisions. It's cool because you can make your character kind of like yourself through your responses and decisions...

Really is an amazing game. I was cautious because of the way it looked and how it seemed like it would play, but if you're even remotely a fan of TWD then it's near certain that you'll love this. The game does an excellent job of not only drawing you in, but the choices you make even early in the game can have lasting repercussions throughout the entire story. Between making tough choices of who lives and dies in a heated moment to extended, planned out decisions, everything matters. Highly recommended.

I'd never thought I'd have so much fun with a point-n-click game, but damn, this story keeps me interested. Great game, I'm on episode 2 now, even though I'm supposed to be doing homework :lol:

This is a good price- it's the same price I paid during the Steam Winter sale I believe. With that said, I cannot stress enough that this is a point and click, choose your own story type of game. This will appeal to some people, but personally, I played it for 10 minutes and have no desire to ever touch it again.

I just bought this last week. Don't regret paying a bit more for it then as the game had me glued for the weekend to complete it :) More of a story than a game imo and I absolutely love it! Can't wait for the sequel.

I feel like I'm the only person who didn't like this game. As someone else said, it's more of a story than a game. But I'd go further and say it's like you're watching a good animated movie that occasionally pauses by itself, and makes you do increasingly toilsome things to un-pause it.

I played out the whole game. Agree, it's more of an interactive movie than a game, but definately a MUST PLAY for Walking Dead Fans. Great story that pulls you in.

Sad ending....but I guess you can't really expect a happy ending in the land of the DEAD.

Compelling story line in this game. Not sure I'd pay more than $10 personally, but it's all relative I guess. I don't like how some parts of the story are set in stone regardless of the choice you make though.

Come to think of it, there is ONE character that does overlap in both the game and the TV show. I won't spoil it though.

I know who it is (but I'm only on Ep 2 of the game and a few episodes into Season 2 of the series).. curious if his or her storyline intertwines?

I understand and appreciate the fact that some people enjoyed it. I did, in fact, make it to the backyard- I simply hated the game. This is coming from someone who started gaming when King's Quest I was all the rage. The thing is, King's Quest was infinitely more interactive than this game. It's misleading to call this a game at all- it's more of a mildly interactive choose-your-own-adventure story.

Back to non TCing, this is still a great price for people who have their expectations set properly.

great game, i bought it a few months ago for 12\.50 and enjoyed it, its not like any other game but its intense and like watching a show and making choices for them. Its pretty good!
